      Yes! I usually enjoy to take my time preparing food, but when I’m busy I like simple food, like just some goat‘s yogurt, mixed with berries and seeds or something like the dinner or lunch the AI suggested. Simple food with few ingredients can taste great as well. And oftentimes (depending on the food) there is really no reason why you’d need a ton of seasoning in my opinion, I like to taste the actual food.

    I think the biggest miss with ChatGPT is that it doesn't truly mimic human behavior. People often leave details out when they initially ask questions and the bot didn't ask any follow up questions, like preferences, disorders, allergies, what does your average day look like. These sorts of questions are ones that I feel a general dietician would ask someone before spitting out a full meal plan.

    • @Bbouy1HD

    I use AI every week to make a meal plan. It works SO well because it takes so much thinking out of it for me. Like I don’t need a recipe, and I can connect the dots, but I need some ideas. When I type it in I’m very specific though and say things like “I like healthy and fresh food” and “we don’t eat a lot of meat” and then I go on to list things I’m trying to get rid of or I’m craving. Like “please use ground turkey, tofu, spinach, tomato’s, and … etc. it works incredibly!
    The other thing I use it for - my holiday meals! For Easter I asked it to create an appetizer, dessert, and main with wine pairings. We had asparagus and pea tarts with truffle whipped cream and honey as a starter, beef tenderloin with roasted thyme parsnip and carrot, and glazed mini potatos, and for dessert - white chocolate panna cotta with fresh berries and pistachio crumble. It was AMAZJNG.

    You have to specify what you want from ChatGPT. You can't just say make me a healthy meal plan and expect it to be perfect for you. If you want specific protein goals and fat goals and carb goals you have to specify that. If you have a disorder that needs special foods cut out or added in you have to specify that. The more detailed info the better it works. I asked it for a meal plan then after it gave me one (according to my specifications) I told it to make it more flavorful etc. So it did.

      You have to ask explicitly if you want food of a specific culture. I asked ChatGPT for a meal plan based on Indian cuisine, and it gave me one that fit the brief. Another thing about ChatGPT is that it does what's called reinforcement learning, so if you're not happy to its initial answer, you can amend or rephrase your prompt and it will regenerate the answer to be closer to what you're looking for.

    • @keepingitclassy443
      @keepingitclassy443 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      Yes, absolutely. ChatGPT, the program that Abbey seems to be using for this video, just synthesizes information from the internet, and since there is a lot of information about hyperglycemia and PCOS online, ChatGPT "knows" about it. I asked it to recommend a diet for those two conditions and it gave a correct response, including this passage: "Including plenty of fiber in the diet can help regulate blood sugar levels and improve insulin sensitivity. Eating protein with each meal and snack can also help regulate blood sugar levels. Additionally, it is important to limit refined carbohydrates and added sugars, as they can quickly raise blood sugar levels." I then asked for a sample meal plan and it recommended a reasonable meal plan that's higher in protein and lower in carbs than what it recommended for Abbey. Unfortunately I can't post screenshots here, or else I would share the entire chat. (Full disclosure, I build AI models for a living, so I know how they work under the hood.)

    • @nicolemoser7892
      @nicolemoser7892 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It can definitely do that. It requires you to give it extensive prompts is all, to make sure you get what you need. The more detailed you are the better it will provide what you need.
      I would tell it to do what you want with your health issues then it will give you a meal plan, then follow it up to make it more specific to you. (Like please add this specific food...etc)
      It needs some clarification and corrections but will. make some good meal plans still for you.

  • @piyusarkar3065
    @piyusarkar3065 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I tried chatgpt with the prompt "balanced meal plan for 28 years old female, high protein, 1800 calories, Bengali cuisine" and the result was quite satisfactory. And writing prompts are becoming a skill nowadays to get better results from AI and you can edit your prompt as well. So I think your point about protein and culture were kinda not accurate, as one could simply clearer prompts to get better results. My result had fish for lunch and chicken for dinner and other protein sources like lentil, nuts,etc.
    I love your videos, but it felt a little off today

    Interesting video idea, Abbey. But I think it’s a bit disappointing that, once again, you chose to adjust the meal to what you like. Isn’t the point of this to test how good the AI plan is? Correct measurements and just the ingredients that were suggested is necessary to actually test this…
    I mean, I get that you adjust celebrity diets (though it’s a bit too much clickbait for me personally), but this time you actually have exact measurements.

    I think AI creates jobs and eliminates some, like most technological advances. What is a greater concern for me is rather how AI could be misused to rob creative people's work by imitating them too closely, or the fact that AI needs a lot of calculating power which in turn leads to more pollution, but we're hardly ever talking about that aspect.

      I make keto 'oatmeal' which is protein powder, chia/flax/hemp seeds and almond milk cooked together over low heat- and it does clump a bit at first, but if you keep stirring/as it warms it will dissolve and thicken up

    Watching Abbey eat is both reassuring, cause it tells me that my diet is not that bad, but also disheartening, because somehow I'm still obese. I get that I'm likely not as active Abbey, but still... how do eat similarly and somehow still gain weight? Are the bowls tiny and so it's just an illusion of being plenty of food? Did the Herbalife diet of my teenage years mess up my metabolism that much? Is it my PCOS? Who knows?

    • @hoosieraussis1
      @hoosieraussis1 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Abbey is eating to maintain her weight. Also, she must have a high metabolism or active lifestyle or a very inefficient digestive system. While her meals are usually very balanced, incorporating a spectrum of ingredients to create her "hunger crushing combo", it's usually too many calories for someone looking to lose weight. That bowl of oatmeal she modified must have come out to 400-500 calories (and she included an oreo). When I was on my weight loss journey, my largest meal of the day was usually 400-600 calories. In another recent video, she said she likes 1:1 ratio of egg to cheese in her omelets. The reality is, her diet is going to be WAY too calorically dense for weight maintenance, let alone weight loss, for most women.

    Now, I’ve got to get to cooking my braised cabbage. I love cabbage, plus, it’s cheap and healthy, something A.I. just doesn’t seem to get. Because you can’t replace a human!
