PSA: Tea metabolizes differently than coffee does. For my neurodivergent friends, switching from coffee to tea really helped me manage anxiety and regulate my mood swings.
I can definitely agree with this. I like coffee but the caffeine triggers my anxiety and panic attacks. So most of the time I stick to tea. Tea caffeine works better for me
True, but she drinks green tea though... there's hardly any caffeine in it! I would go for an Earl Grey or English Breakfast for a bit more punch (still less than coffee). I'm ADHD and I react horribly to caffeine in tea! Like I get headaches, nausea, and the jitters from strong tea but never from coffee... odd :(
It's true, it contains L-theanine, an amino acid that promotes relaxations. Therefore it counteracts the negative effects of the caffeine so you feel alert but relaxed. I always go for English breakfast tea and find it wakes me up without making me jittery and anxious.

Ya but why look ugly when you can fix it and be hot? Ugly things make you feel gross when you see them. That’s why people buy flowers instead of a bucket of dead worms or something
A few years ago I had the wish to have my 18 year old body back. I would have literally sold my soul for this. BUT now that I’m 40+, I rather have a healthy body and most importantly a strong body. When I was 18 I was around 50 kg and always on the edge of an ED because everyone only saw my big behind and not the slim and weak torso. With all the dieting etc my weight was like a yo-yo on steroids. I went from 50 to 66 kg, then to 98kg, lost 30kg, went to 104 and had an unhealthy relationship with food. For the last few months I started with a meal plan and weighing my ingredients. At first it might sound bad, but I actually didn’t know how much I actually am „allowed“ to eat to be „full“ without feeling bad. I used to limit my portions just to have many snacks in between meals in the end of the day. Now I have my 3 main meals and 2 snacks throughout the day. And, girl, those portions are huge! Guess what, I started at 104 kg in June and I’m now on 97 kg. I never was this satisfied after a meal as I am now. And watching your videos gave me so much motivation to stay on track.

I body shamed Selena like 10 years ago. I reposted a pic of her to my less than 100 Facebook friends laughing and calling her fat. I feel bad but of course she never saw that specific post. I was incredibly offended that a celebrity could be over weight, as I felt I was personally completely worthless because of my weight. I remember someone calling me out on body shaming. And I responded in a kind of way they I felt it was my right as a ft bullied person to call someone else fat.. which is stupid. But looking back like I said I was offended. Here was this beautiful, successful girl going out in swimwear, enjoying her life regardless of the size of her body. And here i was, personally believing the way I looked would forever hold me back from living a good and happy life.
That would freak me out too. I avoid it by putting sides in tiny bowls then on the plate. For some reason it still needs to be on the plate😂 I blame school lunch trays, after 12 years they institutionalized us😭
Great video! I absolutely adore Selena, she is SO talented and I love her in Only Murders in the Building. As for commenting on people's weight, can we just not? It would be different if I confided in her that I was on a weight loss journey, but I definitely did not. And what if it wasn't intentional weight loss and I was sick or something? Not cool.
Yes. My mom lost a lot of weight due cancer and lots of stress because of my dad dying. It wasn't her goal and she wasn't happy and feeling lucky for the weight loss reason
@@zz-ic6vy I'm so sorry to hear that. Definitely best to stay away from commenting on people's weight in general. You never know what people are going through.

Ok that big tupperware of berries, tell us your secret!!! I'm assuming they're washed already, how long does that last you in the fridge? We go through so many but I haven't figured out how to keep them from going bad so I just end up washing fruit all the time every day. I wish I could have it prepped like that in advance!
I wash mine in water with some white vinegar, rinse, dry them off really well and put them in a Tupperware with a paper towel lining the bottom. They stay good for a full week for me.
A recent study found that "green" Mediterranean diet- defined as a Mediterranean diet plus duckweed cubes (yuck) and two cups of green tea a day lost more visceral fat than a plain Mediterranean diet, and way more than a regular "healthy" diet, though all three lost about the same amount of fat. Just in case some reading this don't know, visceral fat is fat around the organs, which is much more of a health risk than subcutaneous fat, which is just under the skin.
Don't burn yourself! Steep it at a lower temperature and let it cool down a little first. Also, steeping it at a lower temperature for less time will make it taste better because it will have fewer tannins. Bouncing the teabag doesn't do anything (though I'm guilty of this, too, sometimes). Looseleaf tea tastes much better and has better quality, but I'm not doing that every day. Some green tea is higher in caffeine than black tea. If I'm treating myself or working from home, to I'll drink a nice quality green tea that I can steep several times. The difference is more noticeable than you'd think. I've never liked coffee.
The most extraordinary celebrity example diet just delish ❤You were superb nothing is offensive at all…Wow I became a fan of this young woman…Great example and wonderful video that dinner 😋
I had red pepper hummus the other day-that was pretty yummy in a.wrap with rocket, spicy Mexican cheese and sliced red pepper. (I like a wrap at lunchtime )
Considering she struggles with lupus and with mental health....this title is in really poor taste Abbey. It's the first time a video title of yours has made me feel compelled to say something. It's really messed up in this case and you should change it.
She loves a good clickbait title it’s all to get the right “audience” she addresses this in another video. No hate to her because she’s clearly not shitting on Selena. Also it’s literally a song.
Everyone struggles with mental health and lupus has nothing to do with potentially lying about your diet. It's a song reference anyways, calm down. My goodness
Hey Abby! I love your videos and the HCC helps me so much! But I noticed that you use a looooot of berries (which is amazing because duh berries are the best) but are there other (maybe less expensive fruits) that you can pair you recipes with?
I love your content and I learn so much for you. I know this is such a random comment and by no means reflects on your content, but is there a way we could hear less of the chewing and swallowing in your videos? I cannot stand mouth noises and I’ll admit I do have to turn the volume off while you take bites. Again, it’s a me problem, but maybe I’m not the only one? Again, your videos are great and I’m still a big fan 😊
Trust me, plenty of places in the states get justice as cold as Canada. I live in western NY and it gets cooooooold. I also grew up in the snow belt an hour south of Buffalo NY and the winters were long and cold and no joke
I definitely relate to snacks being a mixed bag. My morning snack was a handful of Cheez Its. My afternoon snack was a piece of whole grain sourdough with olive tapenade…. and then another because I was still hungry and it was hitting the spot. As for dinner, you’ve inspired me and I have both miso soup mix and some veggie gyoza in the freezer, so that will probably be dinner!
As a person with bipolar and a fan of selena, selena might be skipping coffee because of bipolar. As it can actually worsen our mood. As someone who has bipolar 2 I'm not sure which selena has but coffee definitely brings down my mood and I'm a big tea drinkers and having tea doesn't effect me. I love both. But tea makes me feel better not because of green washing I promise.
Agreed with everything you said until you mentioned Selena won you over with calm down, love the woman, but the song is by Rema and was already popular before her feature😆😆😆 (sorry I'm anal because I like Nigerian artists being recognised). But yes her diet is really helpful, I'm trying to eat more intuitively, but I feel like my snacking always goes way overboard if I don't restrict how much I snack. I'll have to look into eating healthy snacks that satisfy me just as well
omg that reminds me when someone at the store told me i looked skinny like wtf is wrong with you some random 60 year old woman comes upto me saying "You've lost weight?" i literally didnt go out for like a week after that and just sat at home some people are insane
Do you really not see that staying at home for a week and being so affected by a comment on your weight is much more concerning than some lady telling you you look skinny, which might even be meant as a compliment? Yes, it’s weird to comment on a stranger’s body, but your reaction is much more concerning. Don’t mean to sound rude, but I hope you know that you should try to work on that, maybe even get professional help.
Hi Abbey, can you please review Dr. Amy Shaw's books or her video interviews? I'm listening to "I'm so Effing Tired" and a lot of what she is saying is making a lot of sense. Feeling like I need to only eat organic and make major diet changes. I can send you links to interviews she's done if its something you'd consider.
You do you of course, but just wanted to flag that 'organic' is a label that covers a lot of ground and doesn't automatically mean there are any less herbicides or pesticides or more nutrients in your food. Research hasn't been able to show significant differences between traditionally grown food and most 'organic' food.
Is there any way you could rephrase the tote or of your video to more accurately reflect its content? Maybe “Selena Gomez: Dietician tries her diet, pretty good example of intuitive eating!”

Jalapeño cheddar cheetos are baller! 💚 your videos, and thank you for some amazing food knowledge and comedy. Hi from NE Wisconsin.
The most extraordinary celebrity example diet just delish ❤You were superb nothing is offensive at all…Wow I became a fan of this young woman…Great example and wonderful video that dinner 😋
Abby would love to see you try your hand at Korean cooking and look at Jenn Im's what I eat videos!!
this was a really great video, maybe one of the best from your channel. It's a shame the camera wasn't focusing. Either way, keep up the good work
Thank you!!
I had red pepper hummus the other day-that was pretty yummy in a.wrap with rocket, spicy Mexican cheese and sliced red pepper. (I like a wrap at lunchtime )
Where I grew up no one drank pure juice. We and other families always put water in our juices. I always thought that was a common thing to do 🧐
Depends what kind of juice it is. Usually juice you can drink plain while squash you dilute in water
Considering she struggles with lupus and with mental health....this title is in really poor taste Abbey. It's the first time a video title of yours has made me feel compelled to say something. It's really messed up in this case and you should change it.
I don’t get it. Isn’t “bad liar” just a reference to Selena’s song? I don’t think it was meant to be mean
@@maramuther1569I agree I believe it was just a song ref xx
@@maramuther1569 yeah it is but it's still a pretty thoughtless title.
I've been buying frozen berries, where I'm from its alloootttt more cost effective than fresh ones and they last longer and are just as nutritious!
apples are usually pretty cheap! also, use fruits that are seasonal
Your hair in this episode is awesome!
Thank you!
Trust me, plenty of places in the states get justice as cold as Canada. I live in western NY and it gets cooooooold. I also grew up in the snow belt an hour south of Buffalo NY and the winters were long and cold and no joke
YES YES YES I’ve been WAITING FOR THIS!!!
Omg, you cracked me up with the grape touching the salsa. I am the same way!
I live in Minnesota, so -20 is a familiar feeling 😂! And miso soup is, indeed, one of the best ways to thaw out!
I'm definitely trying corn in my scrambled eggs! with green salsa and cheese! It would be amazing
We love Selena! :)
Were the snacks really meant to be eaten at the same time?? Seems these are 3 or 4 separate snacks.
Yeah, that's what I said too.
I don't think it occurs to people how much coffee/caffeine can really affect people with neural divergency.
Have you done Taylor Swift yet? I know things have definitely changed over time with her.
I cannot NOT snack while I watch Abby in the kitchen
I personally feel less full with the ice burg I prefer spring mix and then a traditionally "unhealthy" dressing like ranch or ceaser
Abbey! Where did you get your plates that look like bowls that look like plates??
Selena has an autoimmune disease… most likely choices are based on that… like the morning tea… I actually clicked cus I thought you would address it
Thank you for your realness and sharing your personality. I enjoyed this video as usual. 🙂
"With some tequila?! She be bangin'." Favorite Abbey quote ever.
I dunno... now I'm thinking "Tickle Trunk" might be...nope, you just said "flaming hot Cheeto virgin" and I'm losing it 🤣
We get similar weather in MN 🤷🏼♀️
Is it really an Abbey Sharp video when there's no built bar? I was so expecting her to pull out a built bar from that chocolate "tickle trunk" 🤣
I'll have to look into eating healthy snacks that satisfy me just as well
Would love to see Blake Lively, Salma Hayek, Claire Danes, Amy Adams ❤️
This video was amazing! Love your content as always!
Did you change your hair color? Whatever color it’s appearing in this video is super flattering on you!
you are so pretty i love the background !!
Thank you, so sweet!
Ok. Can we please get the green goddess dressing recipe?
More reasons to love Selena!!! Intuitive eating ftw 😊
Grew up in MN (aka glorified Canada), so nah. Can relate to negative 20 weather.
Abbey! Corn in eggs....have you tried corn salsa in/on eggs?? Really ups the game.
Selena is a Texas girl at heart, of course she loves breakfast tacos/burritos
omg that reminds me when someone at the store told me i looked skinny like wtf is wrong with you some random 60 year old woman comes upto me saying "You've lost weight?" i literally didnt go out for like a week after that and just sat at home some people are insane
We need to stop randomly commenting on other peoples' bodies!!
I don't mean to be mean but you didn't leave home for a week because of this?
Do you really not see that staying at home for a week and being so affected by a comment on your weight is much more concerning than some lady telling you you look skinny, which might even be meant as a compliment? Yes, it’s weird to comment on a stranger’s body, but your reaction is much more concerning.
Don’t mean to sound rude, but I hope you know that you should try to work on that, maybe even get professional help.
I know I'm way late on this, but is the term you were looking for "Cheeto Dust"? =)
Weight gain from medication side effect is sooo real. Been there myself! Thanks for mentioning that :)
Yes my thoughts exactly!
I would love to see the Ariana Grande's diet ❤
Love coffee but it's too acidic for me. I love my Tazo green tea.
Is there any way you could rephrase the tote or of your video to more accurately reflect its content? Maybe “Selena Gomez: Dietician tries her diet, pretty good example of intuitive eating!”
