    I may not think Miranda's particular diet is super healthy, especially for those who have experienced disordered eating (here's looking at me, kiddo!), I like her candidness and willingness to admit that she heavily restricts her caloric consumption! I hate it when skinny celebs pretend they eat fast food and large amounts of calories when we KNOW they are on strict diets!

      If it's all she eats in a day she can easily stay thin on a pizza a day. I know a skinny person who eats an entire bar of chocolate a day. Not much else, though.

    • @pkblade
      @pkblade ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@apl2606 that’s a silly comparison…a medium size pizza would have min. 5x the calories of a large choc bar albeit less sugar

    • @apl2606
      @apl2606 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      @@pkblade That's a great way to comunicate. Calling other people's arguments stupid. Maybe try more respectful adjectives next time. Also, my comparison was not about amount of kcals but about staying lean on foods that are generally considered too calory dense and unhealthy. My point being that you can fit anything in if it fits your maintenance calories. Lean people do not necessarily eat little or healthy. They just eat at their lower maintenance calory level. And might unconsciously or consciously move more than others.

      Jeez, that's it?! I would be hungry an hour later with only that as lunch, and I'm a self admitted couch potato (in my 20s)! I wonder if she is always hungry. I eat more than that at meals. Crazy diets sound awful to be on. How do they sustain these diets for a long time? I'm wondering, and it sounds easier to just eat a well balanced diet that accounts for medical stuff if needed.
      And I'm well aware of the standards that they are subjected to, which is frustrating to say the least. I wish that how women looked is not the main concern, but alas... reality.

      @@sci300768 You’re getting used to it. I used to skip lunch and had a late breakfast instead for about a year and after few weeks I couldn’t eat lunch at all because it would made me sick - I still prefer a light lunch, like a salad or soup or yogurt with fruits and granola, and I used to have a big lunch growing up.
      Also, when I had Covid and couldn’t taste my food (except for salt lol) I barely ate anything, just a smoothie each day, some oats, eggs, and stuff like that. Not enough, I know, but eating was disgusting. Afterwards, I couldn’t eat more than half of my usual portion. So it’s definitely possible to get used to very small portions, even though it’s not healthy.

But we have to consider the overall good to humanity that a person’s life can offer! Setting aside the motivations and effects of capitalism/ sales, Miranda’s beauty on its own isn’t nothing! Oh no! While there have been a few studies supporting going gluten-free for endo relief (as gluten can trigger inflammation in most people), please tell your doctor that there is absolutely NO substantial evidence (beyond anecdotal and rumor mill) that dairy or sugar free diets are beneficial for endo! In fact, there are plenty of recent studies that support the opposite; about 4 different international studies have linked higher consumption of dairy products during childhood, with lower endo rates in large percentages of the population (studies in Iran, UK and US). Refined sugar in excess is not good for anyone, but avoiding it altogether can be eating-disorder inducing!

      I like hummus for creaminess, still fairly high in fat but better than dairy and I find the flavoured ones tend to be lower in fat for some reason. You can blitz up beans for the same effect in soups and stews, or add any kind of starch like flours or blended boiled potatoes.
      And nutritional yeast can (sometimes, not always - depends on the meal) lend umami in a way reminiscent of parmesan. I like it added to salads. Also a good helping of b vitamins and some protein

To be honest I started to do celery juice with lemon, and my digestion has been better, and my skin too. There is good merit to Miranda’s diet. Sometimes I will eat like Miranda especially during my period. Lol i actually do eat a square of chocolate, one of the reasons is to save it as a treat for other days. If you include meat/fish/poultry in your diet - 100g of chicken or tuna for example has 28 g, 3/4c (1 serve) greek yoghurt has 20g, 1 cup dairy milk has 8g, 2 eggs has 12 g, even rice, pasta/carb foods have a little bit of protein, it all adds up. fruit and veg are the only things that don't really have any.
