The EDC27 is one of my favourite torches, I just got the 25 after much anticipation & can't wait to start using it. FYI, the proximity sensor is similar to the Olight Warrior Mini 3, it only activates if something is blocking the light when you turn it on, then goes back to full brightness when the obstruction is clear. They have the new EDC27 UHI much more powerfull. But that begs the question they keep releasing new ones so quick. Just when I was gonna buy the edc25 now the 27 uhi comes out.
@@NatsumeKonno The EDC27 UHi is very close in specs with the 25. 100 extra lumens on turbo would be a hardly noticeable difference. It's more of an upgrade to the 27 from what I can tell.
Eric, you probably figured this out by now or just quit using the edc25 all together but, The best way to lock it out is when its on, hold the button down to your desired way of locking it out. One long press and you are there! To unlock, click once and hold. Hope this helps you or somebody else. Great review! I didnt like the edc27 at first but, I use it regularly now and the 25 is on the way. Take care!
The only 'flat' flashlight that works for me 100%, both as an EDC and a tactical CCW EDC is the SureFire Stiletto Pro. Yes, it is expensive, but buying 3-4 lesser lights to find the right one costs just as much.
