I gotta get in on this one: Heres my take on these flashlights: I own the edc27 its a good flashlight for edc but, the ui is a little choppy. The arkfield pro and regular arkfield are both as you say. Now the edc25 is very cool in my opinion. The ui is easier than the 27 and heres the major difference: the candela is what will reach out and touch someone. The one on the 25 shoots way, way farther than the arkfield and the 27 as well. If you want a light for the wilderness and tactical functions i would say, you can't go wrong with the edc 25. I'm getting that one! I recommend all these flashlights for edc and tactical purposes. I just prefer the edc25. Thanks man, good review!
You summed it up perfectly. Arkfeld is more compact, edc25 is brighter, larger but has a tailswitch... Depends what you want but I'd definitely get the nitecore
Good comparison on a couple of nice lights. I would prefer the Arkfeld personally for it's size and UI. If I was concerned and wanted more light and throw I would go with a different model like the Warrior Mini 3 probably.
Really dig it when "knife guys" like you talk about other EDC gear. I still think you are my "north star" in this EDC game. Thanks for all the great info.
This is a perfect comparison for these two. I agree that they’re for two different purposes. I like the Nitecore, but it’s a little too large for edc for me. I like the size of the Arcfeld for edc, but I prefer a tail switch (recessed tail switch is even better to keep it from being pressed accidentally in my pocket). I have yet to find the perfect edc light, but these are definitely two nice ones.
I just ordered the Arkfeld for $35 with Olight's summer sale. I didn't need it, but I've wanted a "flatlight" for awhile now and I just absolutely could not pass that up.
I liked this comparison… huge difference in the light output, but I’m sure the Arkfeld would see substantially more use. I’m surprised you like to have a strobe function, I think it’s a nearly useless (and cheap to implement) feature and I’d always take something else like a red light, UV, laser, etc over it. Thanks for the review, JB, and please do more of these side by sides when you get comparable items!
I’m curious, what are people using the UV function on a light for? I don’t recall ever having a need for that, but maybe I’m missing something that I would appreciate if I had it.
One touch strobe is whats making me lean to fetting the edc25 vs the arkfeld pro now. The triple tap on my regular arlfeld isnt as easy even woth practice
I'm still a little skeptical about the wisdom of carrying an EDC flashlight that requires a proprietary magnetic charging base like the Arkfeld. If I lose the Arkfeld charger I am screwed until I can get another one from Amazon. And if I am traveling I probably won't even be able to one from Amazon. But if I lose a USB-C cord it's no big deal. I can just go into my local Walmart and get another one for $10. This makes the EDC25 a better choice for me.
The Arkfeld is smaller it also includes a uv light that is useful in so many ways. Who really uses strobe on their lights as much as you would a uv light. 🤷 Arkfeld for the win.
I agree JB both have there pros/cons depending on your individual needs. I also consider warranty as both have built-in batteries. If I am correct OlIght is now life time. Not sure who's lifetime. Thanks for the comparison JB. Take care.

Thanks for your thoughts!
New edc27 uhi has the best candela now and I love it. This thing is awesome for what I do.
EDC25 wins this comparison for me. Great vid. Saying that I think the Olight would be easier to edc.
Fair enough radar
You summed it up perfectly. Arkfeld is more compact, edc25 is brighter, larger but has a tailswitch... Depends what you want but I'd definitely get the nitecore
They have such different features, so it would be a matter of needs/preferences of course. I would go with the Nitecore.
Agreed William
Man two nice lights. The Arkfeld is much more the size I would prefer for edc. Thanks JB
Right on Tim!
Two nice lights, the size of the Arkfeld is more for me. Thanks for sharing JB, be safe.
Right on James

Very good Tim

Thanks so much Dave
My preference is a side switch i do have some tail switches lights but i don't care for them that's just my preference. Thanks for sharing JB
Right on Ed!
What is it with pocketknives and flashlights? It's kind of like peanut butter and jelly for some reason.
It can be! All in what you like
Definitely cool to see them side by side. Thanks
Thanks so much Shamus

Definitely all in what you are looking for Paul! Thanks so much!
Awesome, thanks for doing this. I am going to get a new light soon.
Very good Rusty!
Im kinda digging that EDC25. But on the other hand That UV light is pretty nice to have
All in what you are looking for!
Great follow up comparison. I'd go with the Arkfield for it's smaller form and added UV/laser.
Right on Shane!
Both are really nice flashlights, but it I had to choose one, it would be the Arkfeld. Good job JB!
Awesome David
I’m going EDC25 need that power!
Right on Lonnie
THANKS JB! Cool lights.
Thanks Paul
I think I'm caught up on every video I love my Arkfeld
Lol...I appreciate that very much Mike
I’ve got the Arkfeld with the laser and I love it
Glad to hear that David!
If only the Olight had a programable button I'd be sold! Great comparison.
Could be cool!
Nice first comparison video JB🎉🎉🎉
Lol...I learned a couple of things!
I was thinking about getting that ARKFELD UV, it's in the Redemption Zone right now. So I could get it for 5$.
That would be a good grab!
I loved my edc25 so much i bought a second 1 for my house use....i did get direct from china to uk for £43 each,a no brainer in my opinion.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Neil!
Very cool comparison! Great video brother 👍
Thank you Jeremy
Thanks Bigred
Thanks for watching!
Thanks! The people needed to know!
Thanks for watching my friend

I like the strobe for my bedside light. Not really for my EDC light.
@@ElCapAddict strobe is a defensive tool. Most good lights have it. Arkfeld has it, UV, and 5mw laser. You can use UV as a low light source, like red.
I like that edc 25
Right on James
I’m curious, what are people using the UV function on a light for? I don’t recall ever having a need for that, but maybe I’m missing something that I would appreciate if I had it.
Charging glow in the dark stuff....lol
@@BigRedEDC Ah, that makes sense. Man, I’ve been missing out! 😂
Sweet looking flashlights.
Thanks as always Jeff
@@BigRedEDC you are very welcome as always! You folks have a wonderful evening
Compare the new Arkfeld Pro and the difference is way bigger. 5mw laser, strong UV LIGHT, 1300 LUMEN...UI is perfect. Award winning light. 😮😊
Right on
One touch strobe is whats making me lean to fetting the edc25 vs the arkfeld pro now. The triple tap on my regular arlfeld isnt as easy even woth practice
I really like the one touch strobe feature
I'm not loyal (i.e. biased) toward either brand, but I have to give the overall edge to the Arkfeld.
Right on
Great comparison JB , thanks for sharing YAH bless brother !
Thanks for watching Michael
I wouldn't mind either
All depends on what you are looking for. Thanks Kevin!
Sorry I’m old school so I probably won’t carry either one. Good video
Have a good weekend CK!
The olight sits really well in the pocket you barely know it’s there good size and good shape for EDC
Thanks Adam! Have a good weekend
Jeepers, they look like my TV remote.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm still confused which one to buy!!! 🙁
That's for you to decide
Let’s clear something up, lumens has very little to do with throws. Candela is what makes the most difference in that aspect.
👏👏👏👏

Thumbs 👍 👍 Up to Both!!
Thanks 👍 Rory

I dont use UV and have a one touch strobe by my bed right next to the long range hole punch!
The EDC25 seems like the clear winner to me
Right on!
Nightcore may be best for me.
Might be Risty
I think I like the EDC25
Very good Kathleen
Umm 🤔 huge difference lol
In output there is

I believe you are correct on that Marco
The Nitecore is just a nice refreshing change that's all.
Right on!👍👍
Atta Babe JB. #BigRedEDCto11K #DSKFS
Much appreciated Mark! Have a great week!
