Lisa Marie Presley was the apple of her father's eye. She was loved by both parents from the day she was born. But she also shared a tragedy with Elvis in that he was never the same after his beloved mother, Gladys died. Lisa Marie has been overshadowed by the death of Elvis her entire life. Where could she go to get peace? Everywhere all her life she was reminded of his presence in this world. And she had to live in it without him. Her mother, Priscilla did all she could but nothing can replace the emotional stroke that paralyzed a young girl and threw her world into chaos. She managed a few glimpses of happiness. Even had a family. And the loss of one her children was clearly traumatic. But I believe this film about her father awakened something deep inside her and broke her heart all over again.
In a recent interview she said it took her a full 5 days to recover from the experience of seeing his life portrayed so accurately by Austin Butler. She was clearly.out of sorts the night of the award show and the red carpet and following ceremony.
My wish is for peace and a reunion with her father. I'm sure he is waiting for her with open arms. And the little girl and her daddy can be together again. I like their duet, I LOVE YOU BECAUSE.
    R.I.P. Lisa Marie.

It was the suicide of her son that destroyed her! It made her a recluse for 2 years. The movie was a bright light to Lisa that renewed her enthusiasm for life.i think it brought her father back to her. I don't think it was enough. Lisa Marie had said she saw her father in her son Ben and it made her scared for him.

Lisa Marie was the kindest human being I have ever been honored to meet in life and I met her twice. The first time she had me sent a free backstage pass because she "wanted to talk" face to face. I'd been struggling with addiction after several suicide losses. When we met she asked me to do whatever it took to go on living. I was shocked she knew who I was. That was 2005, then in 2012 she released Storm and Grace so one of my youngest's names is Grace, as she was born that year. The next concert I went to I saw her and she remembered me. Later she went on to fight addiction then her son took his life 2 years ago. May her pirate spirit find peace. Thank you for recognizing her.

She was Elvis' only child. He loved her so much. He bought her a mink when she was 4. He would sing her to sleep. She said he sang Can't help falling in love with you. She also sings Don't cry Daddy and Never stand alone with him. She has 3 albums. She has 4 children. Her only son took his life. She has 3 daughters that includes the twins. Elvis was a twin but his brother passed at birth. Now she's with her son and Dad🌹

The only child by: Priscilla Presley and after court proceedings by others who claim to be Elvis's children, Priscilla agreed to now only say that Lisa Marie was Elvis's only child by Her. Lisa's half-sister, Deborah, was even with Priscilla at the hospital where Lisa died. Lisa Marie left three children behind and that is also worth mentioning and she had no children with Michael Jackson nor Nicolas Cage. Those two "mistake marriages", as Lisa Maire called them, weren't even worth mentioning. Nor here either.

Thank you so much for honoring her today. Yes, She is his only child. She recorded this as a tribute to him for the 30th anniversary of his death. Every year, they have candlelight service at Graceland in tribute to Elvis. People come from all around the world to honor him. The the proceeds of sales of the record went to Presley's Place, a transitional housing place in New Orleans.
I am a fan of Lisa's music. Unfortunately, she only recorded 3 albums. The first song from her 1st album was called Lights Out. It pays tribute to her Elvis DNA. The video is great! If definitely one to check out! She wrote her own songs and she said they were all very personal to her. One of my favorites is called "Idiot". The ultimate diss song! She said it was really about someone but she wrote tongue in cheek. Again the video is a must see. She has a lot of great songs.

Lights Out is a song that seems to address Lisa Marie's feelings about being the daughter of Elvis Presley; Lisa Marie is Presley's only child. Among its lyrics is a chorus that states: "Someone turned the lights out there in Memphis / That's where my family's buried and gone." and that is where she will be buried also at Graceland- keep em coming.

Two beautiful voices. Two beautiful souls. Now reunited along with her son, Benjamin. She simply couldn't get beyond the grief. But hopefully, now they're happy & whole on the other side.
If you want to see Lisa Marie enjoying her bluesy rock side, watch the LIVE performance of "Sticks & Stones". It's terrific.

Lisa was very under rated in my opinion. I don't think she had good P.R. or good marketing behind her, plus she wouldn't get into the little boxes they tried to put her in and wanted to do her own thing so that might be why. I too like a lot of her stuff.

    More Elvis please...
As a lifelong hardcore Elvis fan, I promise you the 3 box sets/playlists below are the BEST Elvis collections out there. These sets give you the complete Elvis deep-dive, from the Sun Records demo recordings as a teenager to the final recordings of the '77 CBS Special. They came out in 1995 and include EVERYTHING! From the obvious hits to all the deep cut gems. You haven't gone on the full Elvis Presley journey until you've listened to these box sets.
From the raw, bluesy, gospel, Rock'a'Billy, leg shaking, young, 50s Elvis, to the slightly more toned down and polished, yet equally entertaining as always, sometimes silly 60s movie era Elvis, to my personal favorite, the more mature and experimental, more serious (musically speaking ie. Lyrical subject matter/depth and musical arrangements He never lost that sense of humor and slightly goofy, but sincere, charm), slower ballad, karate kicking, blinged out (and, tragically drugged out) 70s Vegas era Elvis. The 70s set alone proves definitively why Elvis is the G.O.A.T.

RIGHT ON THE NOSE!!!! I'm a daddy's girl as well....and I cant imagine how emotional.it must have been for her to hear the final cut of this song. It truly IS like she is getting to hug her dad again.
I imagine the same feeling must have gone through Janet Jackson when they put Michael on the screen and she got to dance with her brother one more time to their song SCREAM during that tribute for him.

Never heard this version before! Loved this song for a long time. Loved her harmony! She went low instead of going high! Jay, Elvis grew up singing gospel. He also stood up when the draft sent him to the Korean War. Most would have tried to get out of it, and he probably could have. This song makes me cry. Own it Jay! Real men have feelings!

It shouldn't be that good. The original and the 1970s live version we see on youtube are untouchable. BUT THIS.... THIS is INSANELY GOOD. SO GOOD in fact that it fills my mind with thoughts that if Elvis had lived, how much further Lisa Marie's music career would have gone. Her voice even without his legendary presence and teachings is FIRST CLASS TOP TIER. HER VOICE IS SO UNIQUE. Them together on a stage FOR REAL???????????????? That would have been OTHER WORLDLY. She DESERVES every bit of praise and love she is getting right now. She was VERY SPECIAL. She did the PRESLEY LEGACY SO GOOD. She has SET UP HER CHILDREN to NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT MONEY OR LOVE. Because we LOVE THOSE THREE PRESLEY DAUGHTERS.

The last song on the album is called 'Just a Dream'. It's about her ex husband Michael Jackson who had died three years before Lisa released the song. There's a couple of other songs about Michael on that album but that last one truly makes you realize how much she loved him.
