I met Lisa Marie at Graceland, pictures don't do her beauty justice. Beyond gorgeous. Her eyes are so captivating. I felt like I was looking at Elvis.

This was in 1997 at the 20th anniversary of Elvis death. This was the first the world saw of Lisa singing. She later released 3 albums of her own plus more "duets" with Elvis.

The saddest day in Rock and Roll. This one, even more tragic than losing Elvis... Lisa was a giant. A phenomenal single parent. I am afraid that depression and addiction will play a roll in her death. But the Presley name will live on through these beautiful daughters. THEY WILL DO SOMETHING TRULY GREAT FOR THIS WORLD, because THAT is what PRESLEYS DO. Lisa taught her kids well. I pray for those kids and Priscilla.

It's now my second watch of this video and it hits in an entirely different and more profound way now that they're both gone. However, the world's loss is Elvis' gain in finally having the true love of his life with him in Heaven.
It's sad that she was only 9 yrs old when he died sad they didn't get more years together and she never got to sing with him they would have made an awesome pair

This is such a beautiful tribute to her father. You can feel her emotion. As you said as a parent it touches your heart. To see your emotions and reaction was so touching. I always love your reactions. You always make me smile. Thank you Matt for this one and thank you for sharing.
Another great reaction guys which I really enjoyed. As a long-time fan I can confirm Matt knows his 'stuff'. One song which is not in the normal Elvis style but is a real fun song is 'Let Me' in 1956 where Elvis in his first film Love Me Tender really shows his moves.

She was only nine (9 years) when she found him dead on the floor, so this was hard for her to do any song with him, she have done some other songs afterwords to that are great.
One of the best songs I have heard her sing with her father is: Where no one stands alone, I think that it's more, or less about his life...
I remember at 10 yrs old when Elvis died.. my mother, truly lost it, biggest memory of my childhood. I love Elvis music.. but Lisa Marie.. 1 yr younger than me and she died 1 yr ago almost to the day... that hit me hard too..

I am seeing this review about a year after you did it. I was at that performance in person in Memphis, at the Pyramid, which was an arena at that time, but is now a Bass Pro Shop with a hotel inside. Go figure. This was 25 years after Elvis died, and the show later came out on video, and I have the video as well. I just don’t have a VHS player in which to play it. Anyway, Elvis was on the screen and his band members were playing live. It was so cool. As the theme from “2001 A Space Odyssey” was playing, as it always did before Elvis walked on stage, a white stretch limo drove in the back of the auditorium and up the right side of the floor to the back of the stage, as though it was bringing Elvis to the stage. Back then, a lot of people thought Elvis was still alive, and many people in the audience were hoping it would be his surprise return, and that he was going to actually walk out on the stage. Of course, it wasn’t and he didn’t. For the song you reviewed here, Priscilla introduced Lisa, and everyone was blown away by this duet.
That is more poignant now following the sad passing of Lisa...but now Lisa is with her Dad and son Benjamin...Love you Lisa..rest in peace
Lisa died January this year. After going to Golden Globe Awards n she looked sick n had trouble walking n speaking, She was very pale. If I was a family member I could tell something wasn't right, After returning home a member of her staff at the house found her. After her death her twins would not go in the house. Now she is singing with her daddy in Heaven n no pain. Also will see her son Benjamin who committed suicide afew years ago. She is buried at Graceland next to her son n across from Elvis. God Bless Lisa
