  • What is it that makes us uniquely human? What is it about being human that compels us to destroy and create?
Having traveled the world interacting with his favorite species
Erwin Raphael McManus argues that humans are all woks of art and artists at work.
As bees create hives, and ants create colonies, humans create futures.
This is the intersection of creativity and spirituality- humans materialize the invisible. The creative act is proof of the soul.
The human revolution needs a manifesto of human creativity: "We breathe therefore we create!"
Erwin Raphael McManus is an iconoclast known as a cultural pioneer for his integration of creativity and spirituality.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

"Like bees create hives, ants create colonies, humans create futures." So true. Some of those futures are cramped and dark, some of them vibrate with life and delight; some include a small inner circle of others, some stretch out across barriers to embrace everyone within reach. But all of us are shaped and fueled by "the invisible" that we imagine and make real to one degree or another!

I never knew you were a pastor, although i still feel the same way, because you spoke so beautiful for the heart, that is why i admire you so very much, i put a mask on my soul, i wouldnt care what religion you speak from, what back ground you came from, or nationality, everyone came to life to shine their light, & you is definitely one that is shining your light so bright, like you said it is up to us to choose which way we want to go, every thing is energy, & its a cycle, but its up to us to break that cycle.

Wow, I was at the Encounter Conference in Vacaville and he was a speaker there. Never heard of him before the conference but this speech is basically a speeded up version of his sermon at Encounter. He just talked slower and added some things. But still much love to Erwin! Love his other work!

Yes. We are living in the world with values from imagination. And we could not find ourselves in the imagination. And we could never know our values of life because that our world had the values from imaginations.

Love his heart, but it saddens me that he hides he is a pastor and lover of Jesus.

    • @tastas9569
      @tastas9569 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

+Jason Schifo not sure he hides it. I could tell by the way he presents that he is a pastor, preacher, priest, teacher something. Because he talks using YOU a lot. His TED bio says so as well. count his YOUs. Listen to 14:00, his originating power is Jesus.

i can see that you were looking at his soul.
you may think religion is something of an imaginary thing but i say trust him what he will do with it if you trust his heart.

Jason Schifo it's no necessary to say that you're Christian, you have to demonstrate your beliefs through your acts.

    • @UltraX34

Estefany Velásquez Munevar false, it is necessary, but you must prove it through your acts. that's where we get "By their fruit you will know them"

Seriously?!! Obviously I have Zero knowledge of Who you are, Alexander Michael, nor your personal experience, if any, with Erwin McManus that has led to your own passionate opinion here. With that being said, my hope & prayer is that since the time you wrote this comment you have had a chance to re-examine and alter your conclusion(s). And IF not I will continue to pray for you in hopes that you are able to at least open yourself up & be Willing to learn more about the hearts & souls of others in this shared life of humanity; Especially the unique and lovely experiences that help form & shape each and every single person. It’s refreshing to see others in light of our differences and our sameness.
