It was Woodstock 99, they already had a whole day of metal and Megadeth were one of the last bands to play that day

they didnt mic the audience, so you can focus on the live perfomance instead of how the people are reacting. its something that is common practice now

Not that hard i guess, i've been playing for around 7 months (started on january ) and i can play the riff and kinda sing the lyrics, its the palm mute that makes it hard for me

@@longboardguy I mean, i started playing in January of this year, although i had some lessons 4 years ago and i already knew smoke on the water and how to read tabs. I started with basic stuff like sabbath (into the void was the first song i learned), and then played Megadeths easier stuff untill i practiced holy wars. I can play the whole song now except the second riff, and i only know how to play the easier solo marty plays, although i haven't got the timing perfected yet.

Marty Friedman was such a great fit for the band. A metal guy that was a little outside the box.

@@consumedbydeceit5942 It's easier said than done in the music industry. Besides, his flunks, if nothing else, have just proven how much his nuts hang for taking risks. Most bands take the always trying to sound the same approach, and most don't see the least little shimmer of success. Dave isn't one of those though, because not only does he still have it vocally and instrumental, but he has already cemented himself as a metal god. Point blank, no discussion.

"Rust in Peace" and "Symphony for D" are the best Megadeth albums, with the best solos and even the excellent Kiko Loureiro couldn't reach that stage on the last albums. But no way you can't repeat the same albums so let's appreciate the lasts...

Definitely one of the high points of Dave's career in terms of vocals. I prefer The System Has Failed era vocals but these are also very good.

Maybe the only metal band without tattoos! But even those that had tattoos back in the day just had a few compared to people who have tattoos these days. It's amazing how often I see guys and girls covered in tats by the time they're 25. I don't have any problem with it, I would just think they'd want to save some space to add new tats later in life.
