I love the grey knights, but more and more the lore makes them seem nothing more than the ordo malleus’s attack dogs. They’re supposed to be the imperium last stand against chaos , but they kill more ppl than demons it seems, makes them seem less like a space marine chapter and more dogs on leash to the inquisition

See now, if you played the game you would totes know that the Imperial Guard kicked the collectives butts of all non Imperial Guard forces in that system. Because that is what happened, unquestionably, because real men wear flak armor.
The best scenes in this novel is when Bjorn the FellHanded actually raising his eyebrows and showing exasperated expressions when the delegation bows to him and Bjorn calling Logan a pup. The next best scene is when Hyperion describes Logan sprinting in Terminator Armor and scaring the shit out of the inquisition.

Pretending for a moment that 40k will ever advance, Fenris's name and this episode has neat foreshadowing for the SW eventually going against the =I=. If you don't know Norse mythology, Fenrir is the wolf son of Loki. Short version is he wanted to be friends with the gods, but they tried to kill him and then he ends up becoming their enemy who will chomp down on more than a few of them during Ragnorak.
The imperium is like a dog that drowning in a lake yes it's trying to save it's self but it's also trying to save it's while trying to bite off it's own arm and biting everyone trying to help it

If Russ comes back then he will meet his end at the hands of the Inquisition. He will probably bring the complete destruction of the inquisition though.
Hyperion does end up serving the chapter in their Monastery as a Prognosticar. But before that there's 55 years of blank history, unsure what he did there, though I assume he spent those time training under the previous Prognosticar.

We can argue the ins and outs of why he did this, but from Russ's point of View, Magnus was an Oathbreaker and needed to be brought to account. Horus knew what buttons to press for his Brother to go from simply apprehending Magnus, to the full blown assault of Prospero. Whilst I'll concede that the likelyhood of the Wolves taking Magnus without a fight is small, it's still not a taint against the Wolves IMO. Magnus was seduced by the powers of the Warp well before Russ set foot on Prospero, even making a deal with Tzeentch. Was it really Russ that pushed him, or was that simply an excuse that Magnus could tell himself to justify his actions, rather than face the fact he was a pawn in Tzeentch's great game (cough Rubric Marines Cough).

I'm actually playing through the game (deathwing), it's pretty good as an fps, these guys are also pretty likeable. I still would like to see the gray knights as heroes though, I'm sure they have their moments right? I mean fighting the forces of chaos has to be worth something right...

I’m a Grey Knight main. Now I know y’all think because of this incident, I should abhor them like the Imperial Fists hate the Iron Warriors. I don’t. I HATE the Inquisition above all else for dragging a lot of the Grey Knights including other notable leaders as expendable muscle.
Kysnaros in particular. He answers directly to Inquisitorial High Lords. On that note, the High Lords also were behind in the destruction of the Celestial Lions Space Marine Chapter. The High Lords are clearly corrupt.

Its happened buddy, one exceptional ork lead a WAAARGH! into the eye of chaos. They caused so much damage that khorne keeps them in his realm to piss off his generals and give them an eternal fight. He's not a bad guy all the time that khorne
What's funny, is in "If the Emperor Had Text to Speech" series. When Grey Knights present to their Grandmaster of the Curse of the Wulfen to have the Space Wolves investigated for heresy? The Grandmaster continuously looks at the image of the Wulfen and goes, "Digganobz!" Puts whole new perspective to that sketch after hearing this story.
Hmm, my understanding was awaking yee old fell handed one, was amoung other things, because its hard to win a moral argument with a chap who fought along side the Primarchs and the Emperor. In many ways he carrys the authoraty and will of the Emperor It was not because they were scared, its because they were smart.
IMHO the best part is that the Inquisitor demanded to speak to a "ranking" member of the Chapter and got told by whoever (probably a Bloodclaw) answerd the call/door "Can do. But it will take at least 4 hours to get him up to the landing platform." Forcing the Inquisitor to wait in the freezing wind while being flanked by a native who didn't bother the weather and a guy wearing power armour with built-in air-conditioning.

If Russ comes back then he will meet his end at the hands of the Inquisition. He will probably bring the complete destruction of the inquisition though.

You think you could do a video about Grey Knight Hyperion later? Without a doubt one of the most interesting grey knights around.
Hyperion does end up serving the chapter in their Monastery as a Prognosticar. But before that there's 55 years of blank history, unsure what he did there, though I assume he spent those time training under the previous Prognosticar.
This why I like space wolves
They most Savage group but they more human than most space marians groups
They not willing to kill people for no real reason
I think they are just behind the salamanders but they are generally good people
Prospero affected them really bad.
The GK tries to fuck with the Wolves.
Logan teleports in and kills their leader easily.
I really dislike space wolves for their ignorance and hypocrisy during the time of Horus Heresy but in this case I couldn't agree more with them.
ikr the space wolves were assholes in the heresy and russ was the prime reason magnus fell to chaos but after the heresy the space wolves really look like a decent chapter of astartes now

@@meth2733 Magnus broke his Promise to the Emperor and the Imperium. We can argue the ins and outs of why he did this, but from Russ's point of View, Magnus was an Oathbreaker and needed to be brought to account.
Horus knew what buttons to press for his Brother to go from simply apprehending Magnus, to the full blown assault of Prospero.
Whilst I'll concede that the likelyhood of the Wolves taking Magnus without a fight is small, it's still not a taint against the Wolves IMO.
Magnus was seduced by the powers of the Warp well before Russ set foot on Prospero, even making a deal with Tzeentch. Was it really Russ that pushed him, or was that simply an excuse that Magnus could tell himself to justify his actions, rather than face the fact he was a pawn in Tzeentch's great game (cough Rubric Marines Cough).
@@MajesticDemonLord magnus brokered a deal with tzeencth just so he could break the wards around the imperial palace so that magnus could tell the emperor of horuses future betrayal but ik magnus failed in that YET magnus was not fully UNDER tzeencth if the emperor had only talked about the powers of chaos with magnus face to face no doubt he would never fall to chaos it was after the burning of prospero and his spine being broken by his own brother was when magnus turned full heretic

I'm actually playing through the game (deathwing), it's pretty good as an fps, these guys are also pretty likeable. I still would like to see the gray knights as heroes though, I'm sure they have their moments right? I mean fighting the forces of chaos has to be worth something right...
@@chrise221 Those are not Grey Knight... Those are terminators from the Deathwing of the Dark Angels chapter. And yes, the Deathwing are a completely different thing, much better than the grey knights.

I HATE the Inquisition above all else for dragging a lot of the Grey Knights including other notable leaders as expendable muscle.
Kysnaros in particular. He answers directly to Inquisitorial High Lords. On that note, the High Lords also were behind in the destruction of the Celestial Lions Space Marine Chapter. The High Lords are clearly corrupt.
Ya your chapter master was in a tough spot but he paid the price. And Hyperion knew better.

Its happened buddy, one exceptional ork lead a WAAARGH! into the eye of chaos. They caused so much damage that khorne keeps them in his realm to piss off his generals and give them an eternal fight. He's not a bad guy all the time that khorne

What's funny, is in "If the Emperor Had Text to Speech" series. When Grey Knights present to their Grandmaster of the Curse of the Wulfen to have the Space Wolves investigated for heresy?
The Grandmaster continuously looks at the image of the Wulfen and goes, "Digganobz!" Puts whole new perspective to that sketch after hearing this story.

Hmm, my understanding was awaking yee old fell handed one, was amoung other things, because its hard to win a moral argument with a chap who fought along side the Primarchs and the Emperor. In many ways he carrys the authoraty and will of the Emperor It was not because they were scared, its because they were smart.

Bjorn is probably the closest thing to a primarch the wolves had and the inquisition knew that
IMHO the best part is that the Inquisitor demanded to speak to a "ranking" member of the Chapter and got told by whoever (probably a Bloodclaw) answerd the call/door "Can do. But it will take at least 4 hours to get him up to the landing platform." Forcing the Inquisitor to wait in the freezing wind while being flanked by a native who didn't bother the weather and a guy wearing power armour with built-in air-conditioning.
I don’t like the space wolves... with that being said this is one of my favorite stories in all of 40k. Let’s go Wolves!!
