Every wolf character can be the focus of a great novel. So much personality and uniqueness. From Bjorn to my fravourite Bran Redmaw, Get a load of this: The Battle for Montberg Spaceport (897.M41) - When Hive Fleet Colossus descends in force upon the civilised world of Thressiax, the Imperial forces of garrisoned there prove unable to stop the constant influx of Tyranid invaders, Imperial Command issues a high ruling for all Imperial forces to withdraw and leave the settlers of Thressiax to their fate so that the Tyranids can be exterminated from space. Bran Redmaw, resupplying upon Thressiax at the time, objects fiercely to this dictat. Though he himself cannot leave the front lines, he sends two full squads of Grey Hunters intensively train the menfolk of Montberg in anti-Tyranid drill, putting the fear of Fenris into those who considered fleeing. Against all odds, the Grey Hunters and their new recruits hold the walls of the spaceport against the screeching swarms of alien invaders, buying the settler families enough time to escape. When the six surviving Grey Hunters finally leave the spaceport themselves, Imperial High Command orders them to be stripped of all honours for disobeying a direct command. Instead Bran Redmaw promotes all six into his personal Wolf Guard in recognition of their valorous deed
Imp High Command: "Those soldiers must be publically dishonoured for disobeying OUR orders" Redmaw: "ONE, they answer to Me. Two, they will get what they deserve" Also Redmaw: *Promotes them on the spot*

That's how Bjorn sees himself. For all his amazing feats in this day and age his biggest accomplishments in his own eyes are fighting beside Russ and the Allfather.
To be honest Bjorn is better when we see him through the eyes of others he deserves his legendary status and would be very hard someone to make a story worthy of him with him as the main character , they are only two things that could work (for me at least) a story from his days as normal Astartes or when a new Primarch, Leman Rass in particular return

I wish you included how he reacted to the inquisitor. When he told her she looked beautiful (i forgot the exact phrase, its been YEARS since i last read the novel). That's pretty wild to hear that from a space marine let alone a dreadnought.

It is hilarious to me that the inquisitors and Grey Knight showed up to get the Space Wolves to surrender and ended up on their knees begging Bjorn for forgiveness, after realizing how badly they done messed up, "They woke HIM to deal with us" as though someone else could have bent sent to negotiate but Bjorn was here to take out the trash.
Space wolves the embodiment of the fact "it only matters if you give it meaning. And then it is in your power to assign what ever meaning you want" Random space wolves dreadnought doesn't mean much. For ten thousand years have I fought for my own for ten thousand years spent in endless war! A Space Marine that can actually put someone like Dante to shame. Try "Russ's ass get on yer feet or i'll drag you up ! " And me ? slouching ? Rather looming over them.
It was the Months of shame, the space wolves protection of civilians and imperial guard and their tactics, simply putting themselves between the ships and not firing back, until the grey knights betrayed a parley, then they went full blown destroying them :D its my fav story in all of 40k and my first step into the lore.
Kysnaros should have been slapped for not dropping to his knees right from the start! disrespectful little pup!
And I would love a Bjorn centric book, but not until the return of Russ, I want the return of Russ told through Bjorn, I want him to be the first wolf to see him again, he deserves it! more than anyone in the entire Imperium!
Just picture that moment...
Gives me chills.
It'll be the only time in 40k that a Dread actually kneeled.
he has waited for so long for russ to return, he has kept his word too, and stayed with the chapter this whole time.
If we’re honest, Bjorn’s only going to kneel to better sucker punch Russ for 10,00 years of leaving him behind. And right in middle of a massive battle, a classic Fenrisian Bro-Brawl will break out.
The only way to tell a Bjorn story worthy of him would be Russ returning to the Imperium. There will be some punches thrown between the two.
When Russ returns, bearing the seeds of the Tree of Life and sees his old friend in the Dreadnought, I hope he will have something for him.
I'm with you, Russ breaks the front off the iron coffin and demands Bjorn to stand, and from the smog pouring out of the machine, a pair of long withered feet restored touch the floor for the first time in centuries. I'd fuckin hit the floor.

Every wolf character can be the focus of a great novel. So much personality and uniqueness. From Bjorn to my fravourite Bran Redmaw,
Get a load of this:
The Battle for Montberg Spaceport (897.M41) - When Hive Fleet Colossus descends in force upon the civilised world of Thressiax, the Imperial forces of garrisoned there prove unable to stop the constant influx of Tyranid invaders, Imperial Command issues a high ruling for all Imperial forces to withdraw and leave the settlers of Thressiax to their fate so that the Tyranids can be exterminated from space.
Imp High Command: "Those soldiers must be publically dishonoured for disobeying OUR orders"
Redmaw: "ONE, they answer to Me. Two, they will get what they deserve"
Also Redmaw: *Promotes them on the spot*
@Ban this youtube the attitude of the Vylka Fenryka can best be described as "hehe, try and stop us".

I respectfully beg to disagree. Sandy Mitchell could write it in the same style as the Cain books, no problem. Bjorn out walking his puppies.
He is such a mythical character in the lore that I agree it can only be told from others perspectives and him showing up should be a moment of sheer fun for the reader. You know shit is going down when Bjorn starts killing stuff.
Wouldn't it be epic if Russ returns with Isha and she heals Bjorn. He then breaks out of his sarcophagus and walks on his own legs again.
@@SigRho1429 You honestly would compare me with someone like Cain ?? He's too much in love with the sound of his own voice. I wish you included how he reacted to the inquisitor. When he told her she looked beautiful (i forgot the exact phrase, its been YEARS since i last read the novel). That's pretty wild to hear that from a space marine let alone a dreadnought.
Just because they dont engage does not mean that they cant judge beauty... Just ask the Emperors Children ... wait dont do that.
Little Lucas is learning something from Bjorn, sadly it's not his tactics in war 😅
Space wolves are one of the few chapters who's space marines can actually have sex and actually do, so it's not surprising.
Never forget that we were ordinary men once, and that we always remember those days before we became what we are today. Others may forget or even despise what they once were (like those Iron Hands) but we never forget the joys we had as humans and while others may stick to some daily routine as it is described in the Codex Astartes we embrace our past with even more relish.

I'd love a book for Bjorn. It would be awesome to see him doing his thing especially from his perspective. The crazy thing about him too, coming from our perspective as readers, is that Bjorn was about as vanilla a personality as it gets compared to his brothers and lords during the Heresy. If I remember correctly he sees himself as a failure as he believes russ left him behind becuase he was upset with him however I think it was more to the fact if russ didn't leave him behind no one would be able to lead the wolves
I think, he thinks of and compares himself to the rest of Leman Russ' wolf guard and Leman Russ in comparison to himself, and that's why he doesn't see himself as extraordinary. (Even though he is)
@@lordcommissar7813 he felt like he had been discarded after Russ left but not realising that, out of all the Wolf Kings warriors, he was the only one that Russ truely felt was capable of watching over and guiding the Vylka Fenryka in his abscence. @@lordcommissar7813 but its also them being a first founding chapter that didn't go insane with weird shit like the DA or have their own Empire like the Ultramarines.
