Well I am in Show Low AZ up in the mountains. I am now 83 and well retired. My gorgeous husband passed away a short time ago but I live with my daughter Wendy and grand son Michael. The video that you see was a six minute clip of our act at the MGM in Reno. I am so glad that so many people are still enjoying our performance. Fe Jover.
@@wendyhartmann3943 Yesterday at the British Music Hall Society's Day By The Sea at The Royal Hippodrome, Eastbourne in Sussex, England, there was a section where clips of specialist Variety acts was shown. This was top of the bill and a packed house was rocking with laughter. Wonderful stuff.
This act perfectly illustrates how personality and presentation make all the difference in how enjoyable an act is. There are few gymnastic feats performed here, but every second of the act is riveting because of the talent of the performers. Bravo!
this is fantastic. someone is sharing/trending it on Facebook to show Fe that people still care. Will passed on, but Fe is in her '80s and is still well. Fantastic Jovers!!!!!!!!
One of the funniest, warmest and most entertaining clips I've seen in ages and ages! Why haven't we seen more of them? Please post more of this unique double-act! Your mom's laugh will be with me forever. X
Great!!!! I love this type of act. It's clear, well thought out, and very funny. The writing and delivery was great and the physical skills were outstanding. Today's entertainers could learn from such a wonderful act!!! Wonderful!
I laughed so hard, I had to watch it over and over to hear what she was saying. I thinkthey were amazing....what a funny lady...whenever I am down, I will watch this video. Much love to the lady that could make us smile....
This is a gem. It's the most infectious laugh I have ever heard conserved in an amazing act. I am going to rewatch and enjoy this so many times. Thanks a lot for sharing. Fe, sorry to hear about your husband. Be proud and glad that even to this day, the two of you are making so many people so very happy.
Now THIS is funny. Better yet you can see they are up there in age and he still does those amazing feats of strength and balance. The world needs more comedy like this. Could not believe how hard I laughed. Well done
At the MGM in Vegas was one of the biggest and most technically amazing scenes I have ever seen on a stage. The scene ended with the iceberg coming through the back wall and thousands of tons of water gushing everywhere followed by the Titanic sinking on stage. It was sensational and they followed that with The Jovers walking frontcloth and they tore the place apart every night. I never worked with them but I wish I had.
I saw that show with the Titanic and all the water flowing. That was followed by George Carl who made everyone in the place cry with laughter. These kinds of acts are so wonderful and few are performing any longer.
Raf and Julian Jover are two of my three brothers. We are/were a big show business family. What a good memory you have to remember Raf and Julian at the Glasgow Empire. Must be at least sixty years ago.Cheers Fe
I have a programme from 1937,which was from a Cinderella panto at Finsbury Park Empire. The broker's men were played by The Jovers. They were Fe's dad and uncle.
This is just what entertainment is missing today ! Your laughter is soooo contagious and you and your husband were so funny ! It's sad he's passed away but you must have had so much fun with him !!!! With much love from a Frenchie !
OMG! This was the kind of humour I was raised on thanks to my British parents. Great laughs, she had me in tears with laughter, thank you to whoever posted this and if you kind find anymore please share. The world needs to laugh more!
LOVE THIS! Had to share it with my daughter & children. Ari is 8 and thinks Miss Jover has the best laugh ever. I must agree. My daughter liked the way she innocently brought in 'risque' tidbits & kept them sweet. Wish we had that today. Are any of the kyds wanting to revive the act? It would be great-hoping someone inherited Miss Jov's laughter cuz it's one in a million & so contagious! Any more gems with them? Sure hope so. *just me*
Have just read your comment. Thank you so much. I think that I was the last Jover performing. All my nieces and nephews think that Auntie Fe is a bit bonkers.
What a wonderful skit. I also laughed from start to finish. I'm terribly sorry for the loss of such a talented man. I truly enjoyed watching this and will definitely pass it on. Thank you both for the wonderful performances.
A friend sent this to me to watch and I have the flu. It was the best medicine I can think of even if it did make me cough more than ever while laughing my head off! What talent! Wow!
What an adorable, infectious laugh! You are the cutest vaudeville act I've seen. I'm very sad to hear f the passing of Mr. Jover. I wish you happiness and continued sweet laughter.
Hi Pat,How lovely to hear from you. We always tried to be just the Jovers but the management kept on adding Jolly What a riot. I don't know the gentleman who put this on but Wilf would have loved it. Wilf passed away last November.I miss him a lot as you can imagine. We did end up doing just stand up.If you did the lighting back in the 70's it would have been the Desert Inn or The stardust. Thank you for your kind words. What are you up to now?Love Fe
I don't think it's possible for me to have enjoyed this more. It's a master class in charm and making an audience feel your joy. I laughed so hard just sitting at my computer. Thanks so much for sharing and I can't wait to see more!
This couldn't have come at a more perfect time. We're dealing with a potentially very serious illness with our closest friends, and I'm about to forward this to them as they need a laugh as much as I. Thank you, thank you. Austin, Texas.
So glad this clip has made it to me. You must be very proud of your fantastic act. I think we need that laugh more than ever at the moment! Like others, I wish there were more clips of you at work.
I'm amazed to see that they were still performing their incredible act ( however toned down physically) in the 1980s from what I'm used to seeing from when they were frequently on the Ed Sullivan show during the late 1960s - early 1970s. . They were so delightful. An amazing act.
I am new to this, but hell, I haven't laughed this this hysterical for quite a long time. It was contagious and unstoppable from end to end. More of this please !!!
Wonderful! Her laugh is infectious and she is absolutely delightful. I am sorry you lost your partner but know that years later people are still enjoying your act together!!!!
Fe, your laugh is so infectious- its just wonderful! You must love having this to look back on, you and your husband seemed to have such a amazingly good time....how blessed!
This is one of the funniest skits I've seen in a verrrry long time! Laugh out loud funny. I don't know how his back held out very long but I'm sure they knew what they were doing. Can't believe that I've never heard of them before because they were two of the funniest people I have ever seen!
Thanks for the laugh. These guys were great- so silly that it's funny. And her laughter is infectious! Good to watch at the end of a mentally exhausting work day. :)
This is real comedy. Not the filth they have on TV now. You could sit there and go into hysterics from her infectious laugh alone. Wonderful comedy team.
Now.....THAT'S, entertainment!!!! Fe is adorable, the two made a great team, very entertaining and talented...they complimented one another beautifully....Thank you Fe and RIP Will...
I just simply loved this...lots of fun, not profanity, uses your thinking just a bit, AND they are more talented than the silliness might suggest. I laughed out loud through most of it. They might even be considered a bit ahead of their time, however, they are TIMELESS. It is a real treat not to be inundated with vulgarity or with political correctness.....thanks for the real thing!
I agree with conita527 - we need more of this type of humor. There is another clip on Hulu as part of an Ed Sullivan show (have to watch other vaudeville type acts till about 1/2 way through). Fe Jover's presence, humor and laughter played to Will's superb "straight" man. Such a great combination. Many thanks.
Well that's a trip down memory lane. I did the lighting for Will and Fe Jover, hundreds of times. Seems like it was at MGM/Bally's Las Vegas, back in the 70's. They used to be known as "The Jolly Jovers". I watched the whole thing and I don't think they've changed a single word or movement. They are true professionals and Delightful People. Pat the ex-Lightman
This is a perfect picture of what the rest of us think we would look like if we tried to do some of the antics serious acrobats do. Soooooo funny! What a treat!
Great video. Thanks for providing it for us all. Any chance of more clips from this fantastic couple?? I wish there was entertainment like this today. Steve
Dear Mr.Harrington, Please tell me where you got this clip. We lost the majority of our tapes a few years back. We had them all in a box that came off the top of our car and it did a beautiful slide down the mountain side. It seems even in real life the comedy never stopped. It was quite a performance trying to recover the box but, it proved to be impossible.
It was corny and all but I couldn't stop watching it. Fe's laugh was authentic and contagious. I must admit I never heard of this act until now. In many ways they reminded me of Wayne and Shuster - Canada's greatest comedy duo. They didn't do the physical shtick like this but had the same infectious patter and corny jokes. Thanks to the uploader for this video.
I LOVE IT FE! YOU TWO WERE WONDERFUL! WOW, WE DON'T HAVE THIS KIND OF ENTERTAINMENT TODAY! SO SORRY I DID NOT GET A CHANCE TO MEET WILF... LOVE, YOUR FRIEND, ANA.
Absolutely fabulous! Fe your wonderful laugh had me laughing right along with you during this entire clip - you're magnificent, and just a little bit naughty! I'm so sorry about your husband, though - you were definitely a pair of pistols!
Started off a little slow but got me laughing out loud later on. This was one seriously stout guy to pull off the strength moves he does, she's not your typical twig-thin acrobat by any means. Also, doing those awkward moves is probably tougher than a properly performed acrobatic move as well. Her laugh even grew on me after a couple minutes. Great act.
+Patti F I tried Googling biographical info about them, and failed to find any. All it gave me was the link to the video clip of their stunts on the show. If you could give me any link you know where I could read about their lives, I'd apprecate it.
Now folks, this is class AAA entertainment, and I don't care who you are. Bring back people like this who had talent, and get the vulgar, political, so-called comedians off the air. What strength these people had. They could have done standup with out the acrobatics I'll bet, but the acrobatics just put icing on the cake. They remind me a lot of Burns and Allen. Such great talent. Best wishes Ms. Jover. RIP Mr. Jover.
Fe, the post said you were 83 now and I'm impressed you did that at 53! My daughter and her teen friends do partner acro... I'm lucky if I can hold a handstand for two seconds. Best wishes!
Yes , this must have been my Dad and Uncle. Tommy and Rafael. I would love a copy if it isn't too much bother. My sister Nena's son is always finding bits and pieces on the internet about one Jover or the other. I would love to show him something that he didn't find. Fe

You just can't beat this kind of comedy. Their act is wonderful. Her laugh is so infectious. They are both very fit and pliable. More please.
Wonderful!
That has to be one of the funniest acts I have ever seen. George Carl, Larry Griswold and now The Jovers. My three favourite acts of all time.
I laughed so hard, I had to watch it over and over to hear what she was saying. I thinkthey were amazing....what a funny lady...whenever I am down, I will watch this video. Much love to the lady that could make us smile....
WOW, BEAUTIFUL JUST BEAUTIFUL!!! and HILARIOUS!!!! What a wonderful performance.

This just made my day! What a great act, done with much grace and a superb sense of humour!
i cannot stop watching this. Absolutely brilliant. I love her laugh! I wish there were more clips of them.
I have a programme from 1937,which was from a Cinderella panto at Finsbury Park Empire. The broker's men were played by The Jovers. They were Fe's dad and uncle.
That really was outstanding. A lot of strength being demonstrated without a hint of it on their faces. Amazing.
Thanks for sharing this. I viewed it thanks to a tweet from Teller of Penn & Teller and am so glad that I was able to see it.
BRILLIANT!!!! A masterclass in comedic perfection with wonderfully understated athleticism
That is PRECIOUS!!! And actually, very difficult to do!! Thanks for this!! God bless you both, him in heaven and you at home.
this was hysterical...what fun....Fe your laugh is contagious!! what great memories you made with your husband!!
Delightful. She reminded me of Gracie Allen. Thank you for posting this.
This is just what entertainment is missing today ! Your laughter is soooo contagious and you and your husband were so funny ! It's sad he's passed away but you must have had so much fun with him !!!! With much love from a Frenchie !
I love your laughter also. You two were great!! Thanks for letting it be online I'd never have seen it otherwise.
Classic Brit humour with strength, skill and impeccable timing....what a great act. A must see!
