Even when doing it this way, my timing is still off on one of my pianos. It's fine when I'm listening to it in FL though so I really don't get what's happening.
Sorry for the late response! If you experience this problem again try the following. 1. Verify that none of the plugins on the mixer track for the piano is the offender. You can do this by muting them and seeing if the issues persist. 2. Go to the troubleshooting tab of the VST wrapper settings for the plugin that is giving you the issue. Check the "Fixed buffer size" option and then print the offending plugin. 3. If the above doesn't fix the issue, go to your audio settings and click the "Align tick lengths" option. 4. You can also try ticking and unticking the other options in the "Troubleshooting" tab of the VST in question. If you can fix the issue you will probably want to switch the settings back after you print the audio so you can avoid unnecessary latency while working.
You bet! Some plugins can be a pain. Image line has a list of plug-in problems and known solutions. Your offending plug-in may be on there. I’ll include the link below. support.image-line.com/action/knowledgebase/index?ans=145 Could also check if there is an update for FL Studio or try re-installing the plug-in. Good luck! Thanks for commenting and happy there’s at least a work around for the problem.
No worries! You route what you want to record to a mixer track. You arm the mixer track for recording. Then you press the record button and let it play. It will record whatever you put through that track live 🤙
Dude I had no clue this is even possible!😂
Thank you man!!
Been using FL Studio since I was a straight up child and I only learned about this like 9 or 10 months ago tbh 😂
thanks man, that's genius... solved a problem that I had for years
Heck yeah! Happy it helped!!!

I cannot really figure out how to get this trick to work. I've not been able to get it to record anything.
If you right click the record button do you see that “Audio” is checked?
I understood nothing
