I remembered doing some of the cleaning with the manager when I used to worked with. We both cleaned the deck oven, donut fryer, chicken fryer, the hood above the fryers, the proofer for raising the bakery items, and even the walls in the department. It is so important to do daily cleaning of the equipment or it would be to gross. The fryers at lease once a week for the oil changed as I remembered. Another place that I used to worked at that I get stuck in doing all of the cleaning which I hated and I was in my early 20’s back then. I don’t mind to do some of the cleaning or even helped out in it. I’m smart on certain things with a little bit of a learning disability, too. I always asked questions and I will get the answers or figured an idea in my head on that problem that I came up with.
I feel for you, Beth. I've had the very same predicament when I worked at Taco Bell at Newport Centre Mall in Jersey City, NJ for the past 13 years (2004-17). I had to clean down the prepping line, steamers, the twin-sided grill, rethermalizer, heating cabinet, etc. and wash all the pots and pans in the back sink, all of them all by myself as I closed for the night. It was a living hell. Thank God I left that "dead-end job". Today I'm working at an Amazon FC warehouse as Inbound Stower, making serious mad money.
People in general have no idea how costly resteraunt equipment is.. it requires constant maintenance and cleaning.. it's not your kitchen stove.. these individuals were causing insect problems in the restaurant by living in squalor..
It's not the company who hired them, a local business owner who owns that franchise hires those people and that store owner is the one who loses all the money
I had a dad use his son (was like 3-4) as an excuse to cut in line and yell about not being able to purchase a case of beer at self-checkout, if someone is using their child as an excuse to treat people in a bad way, especially when they drink, it's proof they are not fit as a parent at all.

I have done air-conditioning and refrigeration work for Denny’s throughout the state of Texas Oklahoma and Louisiana And I can tell you firsthand once I go behind the scenes of the restaurant it is totally disgusting everyone I’ve been in They leave coolers and refrigeration units broke for weeks and months I have been to multiple sites where they have the under grill coolers were they keep pancake batter milk eggs cheese and dairy products. And they are at 75 to 80 degrees And the cooks on the line tell me that they have been broken for weeks or months And the only reason why the measure calls in the ticket is because they had a health inspection at that time and of course the manager tells the health inspector that I just went down yesterday and they have a work order in for already And funny thing is after I fix their cooler or refrigeration issues the manager has the audacity to ask me if I want something to eat for free on him. Lol and of course I always tell him no I’m good I’m not hungry I will never eat at any Denny’s ever in my life This also goes the same for churches chicken
It is almost at all restaurants. I work at a high-end restaurant. The kitchen is never clean. It's made me reconsider what you call fine dining. Nothing is as clean as it seems.
Or learn to cook. I sometimes, cook a big meal, then freeze in containers. In between make breakfast for dinner, or eat lightly, or have a sandwich. With the new shortage of employees, in fast food. And already declining uncleanliness, I wouldn't want to get sick. Just my 2 cents.
I'm a former food service worker. If I had my own restaurant, I'd teach and ensure my staff, to clean the condiment containers. Clean booths, and tables thoroughly. I've gone to Denny's in the past. When I sit,I look at table. It may have butter or syrup. Then I ask to please, have a towel,so I can wipe the table. I've said, I know your busy, I don't mind cleaning it myself. When I tell them, I've worked in food service, and can relate. They become less, critical. Cause some have had the attitude of who do you think, you are? Sometimes,it's the employees who are lazy, even if you give proper training. They don't want to comply. Sometimes it's the owners, who need to be more diligent in seeing, how things really are maintained in keeping the place clean and food properly stored.
I definitely would never eat at a black owned restaurant... this is the same way the lot of them live at home too. I suppose most of them dont own the property so they really could care less on how they maintain it (lack of)...they will just play victim and blame it on the owner/landlord and the state will end up moving them to another property to destroy again...
If I was manager at a Denny's, I'd go all "Jon Taffer" on the lazy employees and make them keep the place clean and sanitary. Mmm-hmm, I watch Bar Rescue every week on the Paramount Network, plus I had experience in the food service industry, to understand the standards that needs to be met so that people will want to keep coming back. That's the truth.
I blame the absent franchisee as much as I do the employees. Either he knew and did nothing, or he was completely aloof and not involved in managing. Another issue is that nowadays it's typically hard to find anyone to work these jobs.
Why are animals sensitive to being recorded in public spaces that already have cameras? Like- not doing anything, you still being recorded one way or another.

He didn't go immediately to wash his hands. I told my spouse,at the time. I'm never coming back. I've worked in food service.

WE DONT CLAIM THEM AT ALL PERIOD
All people are individuals. How you think and act is more of a common denominator than how one looks.
People in general have no idea how costly resteraunt equipment is.. it requires constant maintenance and cleaning.. it's not your kitchen stove.. these individuals were causing insect problems in the restaurant by living in squalor..
You guys did a great job on making sure that restaurant was shut down! 👍👍
Denny's seemed to go out of its way to hire a crew of total lowlifes at this particular location.
It's not the company who hired them, a local business owner who owns that franchise hires those people and that store owner is the one who loses all the money
They hire lowlifes at all locations
I had a dad use his son (was like 3-4) as an excuse to cut in line and yell about not being able to purchase a case of beer at self-checkout, if someone is using their child as an excuse to treat people in a bad way, especially when they drink, it's proof they are not fit as a parent at all.
They probably think it's everyone else's fault their restaurant shut down.
The food and service at all Denny's has gone way down hill. I stopped eating at Denny's ten years ago. They are selling garbage.
Exposing the criminal behavior of the employees was a genuine public service.
I feel sorry for the franchisee, but this is what happens when you don't stay on top of things.
@cliftonmcnalley8469 Don't feel sorry for the franchisee!! The franchisee is RESPONSIBLE for this disgusting mess. They hired these criminals, probably so they could pay them bare minimum wages. The franchisee is also responsible for the filthy conditions this place is in. This is why people buy/rent these dumps from Denny's - to spend as little as possible on the quality of the restaurnat make make a lot of money. I'm willing to bet the franchisee is also a criminal.

I have done air-conditioning and refrigeration work for Denny’s throughout the state of Texas Oklahoma and Louisiana
And I can tell you firsthand once I go behind the scenes of the restaurant it is totally disgusting everyone I’ve been in
They leave coolers and refrigeration units broke for weeks and months
I have been to multiple sites where they have the under grill coolers were they keep pancake batter milk eggs cheese and dairy products. And they are at 75 to 80 degrees
And the cooks on the line tell me that they have been broken for weeks or months
And the only reason why the measure calls in the ticket is because they had a health inspection at that time and of course the manager tells the health inspector that I just went down yesterday and they have a work order in for already
And funny thing is after I fix their cooler or refrigeration issues the manager has the audacity to ask me if I want something to eat for free on him. Lol and of course I always tell him no I’m good I’m not hungry
I will never eat at any Denny’s ever in my life
This also goes the same for churches chicken
I've eaten at the Euless, Texas Denny's several times over the last few months. I guess I need to strike it from my list?
It is almost at all restaurants. I work at a high-end restaurant. The kitchen is never clean. It's made me reconsider what you call fine dining. Nothing is as clean as it seems.
This is why its so very important to be selective about where you go when eating out
Or learn to cook. I sometimes, cook a big meal, then freeze in containers. In between make breakfast for dinner, or eat lightly, or have a sandwich. With the new shortage of employees, in fast food. And already declining uncleanliness, I wouldn't want to get sick. Just my 2 cents.
I'm a former
food service worker.
And these are the same type of people that demand first-rate service wherever they go eat
And don't tip.
The employees should be charged with with assault
Love the diversity of the employees.

Lmao. They protecting Dennys like they own the establishment 🤣🤣🤣🤣
They just have a victim mentality
And got fired.. that was like a reality show
I definitely would never eat at a black owned restaurant... this is the same way the lot of them live at home too. I suppose most of them dont own the property so they really could care less on how they maintain it (lack of)...they will just play victim and blame it on the owner/landlord and the state will end up moving them to another property to destroy again...
Excellent coverage .
More please. Much more.
Such a shame less people know about Jon. Most people think about Gordon Ramsay. I like them both but I like seeing Jon Taffer make them clean
I blame the absent franchisee as much as I do the employees. Either he knew and did nothing, or he was completely aloof and not involved in managing. Another issue is that nowadays it's typically hard to find anyone to work these jobs.
Jon Taffer is awesome
man we really needed Jon Taffer here
