    I really appreciate seeing some enjoying organic quality healthy food and preserving that is not a prepper. Thank you!

    This is very helpful. Thank you. I’m new to canning, prepping, and Azure. I’m actually picking up my first Azure order tomorrow so I’m excited.

    Love Azure...they've been around for many years! I first heard of them more than 20yrs ago and they've expanded quite a bit.

    You don't have to take the cap off the milk. The indention on the bottom will pop out when it freezes so it won't explode in your freezer.

    Very helpful video. Loved the haul and how you showed how you used some of the items to create pantry items for your family. TFS

    I was wondering what was up with your milk 😂 That’s so funny. I froze mine too and the bottom swelled, but apparently they designed the bottle that way? Anyway, I just put my bottle in a large bowl to thaw to avoid the wobble effect. 😆🤷🏻‍♀️ Oh! Suggestion for apples… you could do apple pie filling & apple butter!!

    Oh I wish you would’ve showed a video on making your salsa that would’ve been a good one.

    Wouldn't taking a bit of the milk out before freezing be the way to go? Commenting for algorithm. I like your videos

    Do you have a good recipe for the salsa? Or did you use the ball canning recipe?

    • @TheHappyHomestead
      @TheHappyHomestead  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use the ball canning recipe when I'm specifically canning, and I also love fermented salsa when I just want a fresh salsa.

    I’ve seen a few people order pears this month from azure and I had tried but it wasn’t on the site. Not out of stock, but not there. I have a hard time finding organic pears so I was really hoping they had them. 🤔

    I made the same mistake with the milk 😬 not sure what I’m going to do when I go to thaw

    • @TheHappyHomestead
      @TheHappyHomestead  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I've done it one too many times. It still is fine, and doesn't explode when you open. But open over a sink, to be safe. The bottles just never went back down from the swelling.....so, they were more like roly poly. ha

    Do you mind sharing your salsa recipe?

    • @TheHappyHomestead

      I used the Ball Canning Zesty Salsa recipe. 👍

  • @BostonBorn
    @BostonBorn 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you’re gonna open the milk anyway, why not mix that cream in then open it and pour off a little from each bottle for immediate use? That way, you can put the lids on to freeze and you don’t lose any of that precious cream within the milk. I know…I think of the weirdest stuff…lol

    • @TheHappyHomestead
