I never had problems with PC parts or monitors catching fire. I think if it ever happened I would be somewhat scared to use that part again. I would also not think highly of the brand either unless it was a one in a million fluke and I just happened to be the unlucky one who got the bad one.

The weird blurring motion artifact is actually a ghosting issue of the Samsung G3 because of its slow response times. The monitor isnt all that great for gaming because of that but has a superb contrast ratio that makes it a great monitor for content consumption.
That’s what I was thinking. It was really distracting while play FPS games.

@@kiavashasadi8687 HUB seems to have pretty in-depth monitor reviews, there is also plenty of other dedicated monitor reviewers. But yeah not something you can test without specialized testing equipment.

I was using a 3080ti until maybe October of last year, I had to sell it to pay for some life things. I actually sold all my GPUs by then. About a month ago I got a MSI Ventus RTX 2060 used for $400 CAD. I pair it with a 144hz acer loser suck face 1080p monitor and for some reason I actually get a lot more joy out of PC gaming now. I feel like having the highest end GPU kinda takes the fun out of it and I get a lot of joy configuring the 2060 and seeing how far it will go with different games. I do miss 1440p, you can def see pixels with 1080p but i'm totally happy with the 2060 and I don't think I care to look for an upgrade for the foreseeable future :)... a 1650 might be a litttttle too far in the other direction though... DON'T TOUCH!
I'm gaming in 1440p in a GTX 780 TI. I think you'll be fine. 🙂
Hey TJ! Good to see you popping in. Just wanted to say, I don't think it's the fact you had the highest end GPU that was the not giving you joy in PC gaming. Though, there is a certain element to that. When you've got the bestest of the bestierest gear, you're always looking out for the newer more bestier gear that's coming out. That kinda sucks the joy out of things, because you're always thinking in the back of your mind that whatever you got is about to be obsolete. I used to run that race, too, and never had much fun. It was always about bragging and stuff. Now, as I got older, I just took a look at what it is I like to play. I check the specs, look at recommended spc, and then get something appropriate. I'm not looking to the next thing, like you, I'm just enjoying the games I like, and when something comes along that makes my card not run well, then I look at upgrading.

I'm still keeping my ASUS strix 5700 XT. I actually find it more satisfying to see how far I can push the card, than to buy something top of the line.
I took the money that I originally was going to buy a RX 6800 XT with before the shortages, and I learned custom water cooling, and I'm right now in the process of renovating my loop again, instead of upgrading my video card because I just find more satisfaction and playing with that then I am grabbing top of the line hardware. Although I did splurge and jumped on a R9 5900X from an R7 2700X because it was 379 bucks and I'm not going to pass that up. Maybe the next generation of video cards will be the time I upgrade.

The G502 is the mouse I use, I absolutely love it, especially the infinite scroll wheel and the removable weights
I use it mostly for the buttons and size. Even outside of games that need lots of keys, it's super useful in content creation and general office work.
Your RAM on that setup isn't running completely in dual channel, Dawid. It's running in "flex mode."
When you have an uneven amount of RAM in each channel, the amount that is equal (8gb and 8gb) in this case, is running in dual channel, but the add'l 8 gb of that 16gb stick is running in single channel. ;) #TheMoreYouKnow
Flex mode is for sure on Intel system.
@@AlfaPro1337 AMD uses essentially the same thing as Intel's Flex Mode, although it may not technically actually be called Flex Mode. It's the same situation where we refer to automatic RAM overclocking as XMP, even though that's technically an Intel thing, too.

You could have used Acer nitro "suckface edition" mouse and headset as well (not sure if they have acer nitro keyboards or monitors, but have seen the mouse and headset,they looked quite horrendous)

I’m surprised those are the low settings for Tarkov! I imagine performance could be improved quite a bit with getting rid of a lot the grass and lowering the resolution of, or outright removing shadows. Then again, I’m not entirely sure how those might affect the competitive aspect of the game.

Most games look pretty good on lowest settings these days. In fact, I can never figure out which settings to turn up in Tarkov because the game already looks good on the lowest so I just leave them there. Nothing wrong with having a guaranteed 100 FPS most of the time.

So, i was going to buy a GTX 1650 priced at IDR 3.500.000 or about $244. But then i see a secondhand GTX 970 priced at IDR 2.500.000 or $174. Which one is better? Because when i watched Dawid's video, i often feel like "Does Dawid means this GPU is weak?"

I'm not surprised it went this well. A tech guy using a pre-built is like a Jedi using a pocket knife. Yeah, it's not the right tool for their job, but they can make it work.

Just put tape around the headphone adjuster so it locks it in place.
The headphones were so obvious, you just can´t go from one of the best headphones ever made (the first DT7700 pro are pretty old) to some overpriced crap with bloated marketing to even sell that shit.

Doubt this will be seen by David, but my BeyerDynamic DT770s broke and I replaced them with Meze Classic 99s. Like the DT770s they are closed back but sound better and have easily replaceable cables (you can get a balanced cable if you wish too). Highly recommended!

@@DawidDoesTechStuff At least as the DT770s. I use them at home on my desktop and I basically can't hear anything with them on. They're pretty well regarded. The headband is also a whole lot more comfortable for extended wear.

There is a different model DT770 without the volume module, however I know it's fairy easy to replace the cable in DT770s

I know it's not exactly the same as a pre-built desktop, but last month I switched over exclusively to a GL66 Pulse laptop with the 3070 Mobile version and I've gotta say that laptop setups have come a long way. I've been travelling too much to appreciate and use a desktop setup so I sold off my custom built with a 2070 + R9 3900x. I was using a Silverstone SG13 for the case to make it compact as possible, but nothing is more compact than a laptop. So far I love it, but I also sometimes miss having a paperweight that doubles as a high-end gaming PC.

The pixel response time of that monitor is terrible. That's what's causing the blur. Not every high refresh gaming monitor is created equally. I bought an HP Omen 1440p 160hz monitor that has the same issue at 160hz. I just crank it back to 144 to fix it And make sure that the response time is not set to fast. What it is set too fast, a lot of white artifacting happens around the lines of stuff that's moving on the screen. Lol

yeah. i also think he is wrong in combining that expensive monitor with cheap hardware. i won't buy monitor as expensive as that. i prefer cheap but quality monitor. i have acer for now. forgot at what price i bought. but i only bought monitor that are around $100 - $150. and it is good.
Beyerdynamic headphones are meant to be repaired. Against the current trend in electronics, they sell replacement parts in their shop. It shouldn't be too hard to replace the cable.

No joke today , after about 2 years with my Acer Nitro 50 I get a screen saying the PC has to be repaired and backed up. Literally an hour after watching this video and yesturday joking about buying a new PC. Wow.
I have an HP Z800, GTX 1070, Dual Xeon X5687;s with the 192 gig ECC RAM kit, PCI-E SSD at 1.6tb and a Samsung 860 boot drive. I can play Cyberpunk at Ultra settings at 45FPS. Yes, I know...But the PC IS 13 years old at this point and due to the fact that most of the major parts were either birthday or Christmas gifts, so less than 1500 bucks has been invested in it....I feel a bit smug these days HAHA

I have a nitro 50-600 with a i7-8700 and rtx 2070 , I'm very happy with it. I only put in a more agressive fan curve through msi afterburner in order to keep the temperatures reasonable ; still on the hot side though but doable. Since I am disabled I have a lot of time and play for hours on end without any troubles whatsoever.....
Is nitro that has rtx 3060ti i5 12400 good? Am scared about the temperature
One thing I think your set up could improve on is desk size, just with everything so close together it seems very cramped, but I love the vids and keep up the good work

got myself a prebuilt setup before this setup. it was an i5 4440 and gtx 960 with 16gb ram. it served me pretty well for a while to be fair. could stream games at 60fps without losing performance on nvenc encoding. but then pubg came out and things did not run so great anymore xD

There’s a reason the G502 mouse is the most bought gaming mouse on Amazon, it’s really fucking good for its price.
I know there are better mice out there, but I’m more than happy with my G502 (also, it’ll last an eternity since it was made by Logitech so that’s nice)
I have a samsung g3 and i didn't notice this problem about blue haze and motion blur.
The problem that I noticed is with dark background with anything white moving around fast. This ghosting is really weird.
But in general use, no problemos.

Man, I'm digging your setup choices. I do have some recommendations for you though:
- The Sennheiser HD6xx from Drop is a really good option for you that will fix the issues you've been having with the DT770. Don't chuck the DT770 though, because closed back is useful for outdoor usage. Open-backed headphones are going to be far better for sound stage and imaging, which should make gameplay experiences much better. The breathability is also dramatically better, and the pads on those headphones are amazing for comfort.
- I think your keyboard could use an upgrade, why not check out and do some videos on some budget hotswap keyboards and cheap switches? The GAS67 is only 85 CAD right now, and it should be a pretty interesting board to put together, and you can pair it with some Gateron Oil King switches which don't need any lubing whatsoever! You already have a nice keycap set to use on it too. There's also the option of going for the QK65, when it goes on groupbuy again, though you can always try ask Qwertykeys to send you one for review.
- Maybe consider producing a full-sized deskmat so your keyboard can also sit on top of the mat? It gives you more space to work with and your keyboard will actually sound better due to some cushioning on the bottoming out.
i bought a version of the acer pc here 2 years ago with a 1050ti / 8gb ddr4 / intel i5 8400 / 1tb hdd. was not able to run tarkov till i switched to ssd and 16gb ddr4 😂 finally upgraded last year just waiting till gpu price drops to fully upgrade.
Dankpods has a pair of modded bear dynamics with a removable cable. might check that out. I'd totally watch a video of you modding them or covering a modded pair.
This is so funny, I had been thinking of upgrading my monitor for some time and I had been trying to deside between the g3 and the LG and I heard about the terrible screen tearing on the g3 so I think I made the right choice going for the LG (and it was much cheaper lol)
This video makes me more aware of how much people like to spend on a gaming pc, now if you people really wanna buy and RTX 3080, you will have to pay more than $4000 and have fun living with that.
I use a setup with nice peripherals, i have a like $350 custom keyboard and a $70ish dollar mouse but then my actual system is just a dell xps with a random 1080p 60hertz dell monitor :)
I used to have a cheap headset many years ago (2004-ish) that had that exact same volume slider as your DT770, and it had the exact same issue whenever you touched it. Truly a design that stands the test of time.

I feel like living with prebuilts is fine if you have a moderately set up prebuilt. Like my sister has an Alienware with an i7 and 3060ti and sure my computer I built runs better and her thermals aren’t great but it’s liveable.
Cut that volume knob off the headphones and fix em. It's not hard, I know you can do it big guy.

I think it’s best if you completely reinstall windows on pre-builts, I did that with my Dell XPS 8940, and it was so much better of an experience than the OEMs pre installed garbage 🗑, concluding that Anna is probably possessing the oem pre installed trash.

One suggestion you should try the sceptre line of monitors they are lower in price but are actually really nice quality monitors they even have 144hz refresh rate monitors
I don't think I would trust myself to buy thousands of dollars of parts and put them together without breaking something, or at best, setting it up wrong. I don't see how there are really any other options for non pc builders

To get the full effect of the loser nitro suckface edition, you really should have used the E-Waste peripherals
moral of the story throw in an extra 8 gig stick upgrade the GPU and install a fresh bloatware free copy of windows 10 or 11 and you got a pretty okay PC

Yeah the frame drops when aiming down sights with a scope in Tarkov is a well known thing.... at one point if to many players scoped in on one map... it would crash the whole server

i have an older hp omen with an i7 6700 and a gtx 1060. i can't complain that much tbh but what bothered me at the time back when i got it was the fact that McAfee would literally take up allmost 100% cpu utilisation while performing its scans. after noticing i instantly uninstalled that shit rip
To be fair, McAfee did that back going all the way back to Windows 3.1. Which is probably when the last good version of it came out.
