Something about the ridiculous piercings, uncanny valley, and mutations make the Slaneesh faction always more unnerving to me than any of the other chaos gods. In Warhammer and 40k.
In real life I can't see people giving themselves to Treachery, Blinded Rage or Rot And Diseases, But I can see and already saw people giving themselves to pleasure... Drugs, Alcohol, Glutony, Excess in everything, every dwelling feeling... it talks to us humans, more than anything...

Today on TOTAL WAR Gear, Tzeentch crashes Kairos car in the great bastion as part of his plan, Nurgle lets his Nurglings escape in Slaneesh realm, Khorne screams at Kislev and Slaneesh gets stuck in a washing machine.
Fun fact: each enter the world trailer ended with a faction leader saying the name of the faction( Cathay ended with grand cathay and nurgle with nurgle etc) except the Khorne trailer. Khorne ended with blood for the blood god, skulls for the skull throne.

Well Khorne battlecry "Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne!" is one of the most iconic if not the most iconic battlecry there ever was in Warhammer. Others chaos gods don't have anything even remotely close in terms of iconic battlecries, while this one is with us for about 30+ Years now.
Same here, it really drives home the point of the God. It's fitting that the evil god of beauty has its units being graceful. I hope that if they move sigvald to slaneesh later that his animations get changed to fit the graceful fighter he is.
This is why I honestly believe Slaanesh will be a lot stronger than Khorne in melee, at least when the game releases. 70% of what makes a melee unit good is its animations moveset, the other 30% is how fast they are and Slaaneshi units fit both categories pretty nicely.

We've already seen how easily slaneesh gets crushed if you dont pick good fights in the nurgle video. And khorn has no magic or ranged outside of cannons. So his entire focus is having the best melee in the game. Slaneesh will depend Heavily on micro. If khorn catches you before you can pull off good micro you've lost.

For instance: Aranesa and tomb scorpions have so movile animation that its dificult for melee infantry to hit or stop them, also they send infantry to fly. Nakai´s and gorgon´s charge animation are another.
i was not prepared for the walk cycle, movement and attack animations for the fiends.... i dont know why but i always assumed they walked upright from their torso upwards dignified and noble... but like running in on all limbs and do a sick flip attack with their tails is waaaaaay more slaaneshi. such a good job in just that one aspect.
I think this one has to be my favourite Enter the World trailer. N'kari's voice, along with the music is just epic. Absolutely love his animation at the end too.
Both the models and the animations catch the right vibe. This is the dark horse that I wasn't interested in at first but looks kinda interesting now. On the rewatch: 0:33 the slaanesh spell is quite literally summoning a humongous whip.
Honestly im not excited about this faction really at all. It's just more dark elf vibes except trade in the massive amount of Armor Piercing projectiles in favor of more monsters. im just not excited about it as much as i am for Cathay and the other chaos daemons

Kind of fitting that Slaanesh's and Nurgle's daemons are at fighting each other - they used to be archenemies in the Warhammer lore before the dynamic is switched to Slaanesh vs Khorne and Tzeentch vs Nurgle.

Really appreciating the inconsisent tone of N'kari when he's the one speaking. The costant cracks and sudden increase of loudness really makes him sound like a lunatic drug addict
It is so incredibly amazing to see Slaanesh miniatures in a game at last, love seeing how everything moves and fights. Bring on Total War and bring on The Old World!
I'm honestly torn if I should play this on release, or wait until Chaos Dwarves DLC. It looks amazing. Better than the previous games even, but I know there is so much more to come.
Take a break from WH2 and play it like I did in Warhammer 1 excited for every new DLC edition imagining what comes next. For the immortal empires as well. Play the Game 3 campaign until you get bored then every DLC play the Immortal empires mode.

Damn, I must say... the elegance of the Daemons is insane! Their movements are really hallucinating! Not to mention the 'attractive but revolting' appearance of them.
I love how the chaos factions have their own way of terrifying their enemies!!! Slaanesh have that terrifying look of hit and run style, Nurgle are more of a sluggish swarm type of approach, Khorne is pretty much a more studier hard hitting type of fear and last but not least Tzeech have that all round range approach with spells and Calvary type of play. My favourite so far is Tzeech, they seem like the more delicate and refined look to them

One of my favorite things about Slaanesh and her daemons is that despite the fact that she's the youngest and (very arguably) weakest chaos god, a fact which she owns, she and all her daemons and followers have this absolute confidence about them. They carry themselves in a way that screams "oldest and most experienced sibling" despite being significantly younger than the other three.
I just want to say congratulations to CA for what they have achieved with this series. Never before has the Warhammer world came to life so well. The completeness of this series is a really impressive feat.

Expected lust to be the only one in the list, however slaanesh is the god of excess, as in excess of everything, drugs, lust, delicious food, feelings, even with your own goals he'll tempt you. The aeldari somewhat helped in slaanesh's creation due to the splitting of their idealogics and corruption of it's people into vice and sin, he's also dedicated to earthly gratifications and the overthrow of any descent behavior

I'm trying to decide between Tzeentch and Nurgle as my first playthrough, this is gonna be so damn awesome. I've never been a table top player as there aren't really any clubs in my area, but the Warhammer books, video games and TH-camrs describing Lore has got me hooked on the hobby.
