I've just bought one of these and I have a mix of about 75 carpet. What I've found is that even after it's been round and should "know" where my hard floors are, it still keeps going back to clean and refresh the mop while vacuuming the carpets. This results in a wet patch near its docking Station as that is on the carpet. If i set it to "mop after vacuum" it will then wander around the whole carpet with a wet mop as though it's just repeating its whole cycle. Surely there must be a way to tell it to vacuum the carpet and hard floors then go.mop the hard floors directly without having to resort to manual area mode?
It doesn't have onboard water tank on the robot itself It just wets the mopping pad with return to base to re-wet the pad with available interval like 6 mins 15mins etc I thought it might be disadvantaged but actually better than the robot with integrated tanks requiring disinfecting more often!
I agree, I didn't know this either until after the video when I cleaned all the upstairs and it kept going back to clean the mop pads. I actually prefer that as well.
The work around I've got is I've created custom cycles such as vacuuming only and mopping only and set these on schedules. This works really well but housekeeping mode is useless
I’ve just upgraded my N8+ to the xe1. I thought I wish I bought this T20 one as it lifts the mops but this model doesn’t have a camera, I think I prefer that feature, I’ve got used to vacuuming at night and mopping in the morning and when I want him to mop the corridors which means crossing a carpet I set off an area clean and ‘fly’him over when he reaches the doorway then press the continue button to get him going again, although he does have a very flat and annoyed voice that says “ put me down”😅
This is amazing review. I keep hearing how the App is buggy or how it gets tangled up but in your video it clearly knew what to avoid.. have you had many issues with the app itself?
I have a question, since the deebot t20 does not have a built in water tank on the robot itself, it means that mops are getting wet just before starting to work, so while not getting wet constantly while working, the mops will probably will get dry very fast. Am i right or wrong?
How well does the it clean stuck on stains? Even if the spot cleaning function worka best than the full floor cleaning option. I need one that can stay wet long enough to cover my lower floor of 2100sq ft😊
So you save 3 maps, BUT with a small bin container and no water tank, how can u use it on another floor? U cant i think... My ramp failed. Or you gotta lug the base station to another floor????
Things don’t like compared to the N8+ there’s no groove to put the little brush in anymore and taking the whole top off??? And it’s 2 mm taller and will no longer go under the tv stand
I have a question which relates to my ability to purchase this, PET HAIR!! I have a dog and a cat that frequent my tiled area and leave hair behind daily. So my question is does anyone have the same situation and how effective is the vacuum. I plan to have it vacuum and mop daily, vacuuming for the hair and mopping because I have the worst coloured tiles that show marks 5 minutes after mopping
Hard to believe it can mop for 10 minutes with a wet mop without getting dry and losing it's effectiveness. Is there a setting in the app to adjust how frequently it returns or is it set to 10 minutes? Havin no on board water tank concerns me.
Just got mine, you can set it to return and clean/refill ever 6,10 or 15 minutes of mopping, as well as Low, Normal and High mopping pad wetness. Tried it on 10 minutes/low and it did seem to work well. Need to study it a bit more to find the best combo for my apratment.
@@drivescorvette I have had a few issues here the first couple of days, nothing major but definitely things I wish all reviews had mentioned. If you are not in a hurry, I would wait a month or two to let real world users find issues first.
As far as I can tell and have read, you cannot rename the rooms. This IS a negative to me. If you use Yiko or Alexa to mop/vac a certain room, you have to use the pre-defined names and not your own. A real negative for me.
@@Ps7apple not wrong. You can’t rename rooms in the new app you have to use with the T20. I believe it was possible with the older app. What you can do is give labels, but they are generic and limited. For example there is no ‘utility’ (common room type in the UK). This also means can end up with multiple rooms of the same type - bedroom 2, bedroom 3 etc. this is not the room naming that we need.
I find it remarkable that through the app different schedules can't be created...such as vacuum only on Monday and vacuum then mop on Friday. Seems such a low level of thought.
A BIG BIG negative that I found! IF you are going to mop an area or a full cleaning (any mopping task actually), the mop extends when it backs out of the dock and returns into the dock!!! This will rub dirty/wet mop pads infront of the dock and unnecessarily wear the mop pads. I am trying to work with Ecovacs on this and have sent them videos of the problem. We'll see what they do, if anything... I hope they do because so far, I like my T20.
Just got mine yesterday from Black Friday and thank you for the tests

It's a negative if you have a large amount of carpet as it will just keep heading back even when vacuuming

What do you think of T20 vs Roborock S8?
That’s what I’m trying to figure out. Our Roborock S5 has been a solid performer.

does it have a camera to see around the house ??
Very nice 👍

I have a question and that is that if you happen to walk in front of it does it get out of the way quick enough before you step on it and trip over?
How do you find it on wooden floors/laminates. The Roombas used cause Microscrathes.
Things don’t like compared to the N8+ there’s no groove to put the little brush in anymore and taking the whole top off??? And it’s 2 mm taller and will no longer go under the tv stand
Is it will go down half an inch when floors has height difference? My bedroom floor is down compared to the living room?
May i can see the vaccuum container
I just bought the T20 too. Do you know how to add another map for two stories house? Thanks
I have one of the same brand but an older version and it's very good 🤩, without a doubt when this one breaks I'll buy the one in your video

Has anyone confirmed if this is the same vacuum as the Ecovac Omni TEO sold at Costco?

Anyone figured out how to name rooms in the app? You can only label them “kitchen 1” etc, not use a custom name?

@ILOVEDASTIG it's a vacuum cleaner, why would it be unusual to have it on a carpet?
