@@ezratambo5928They seem to be pretty reliable SUVs, so I'd imagine they're pocket friendly in the sense of long term repair costs, or the lack there of. But the fuel economy on any large SUV isn't great, maybe 15 mpg in the city and in the 20s on the highway. There's only so much you can do about a big, blocky, heavy vehicle when it comes to making it energy efficient.

Very nice review and beautiful SUV. Just an FYI, the DMV lines in Florida are way longer and you would need to sleep in the Expedition while parked in the DMV parking lot overnight hoping you’re one of the lucky 200 people to get inside the next day.

Did your test car actually have the multi-contour message seats? I've tried to order one since 2/22 (2022 model) and have not been able to order without the delete being required.

Real question, how come when Ford charges that much for their top of the line truck everyone’s pissed, but when GM puts out a new Suburban or a Denali it’s alright? Even Jeep/Fiat with the Grand Wagoneer is north of 100k

I still don’t get why Ford and GM still use truck platforms for their XL sized SUV’s. I sat in an Expedition recently, and the floor was so high. Though the cabin was very wide, vertically, the cabin felt cramped. That’s because my legs didn’t have much space to go. It was like sitting on a step stool with my knees above my thighs.
Capability, versatility, and cost. Using a truck platform helps these larger SUVs to tow more weight, which is often something they need, without putting strain on the mechanical components. Sharing a platform also saves a lot of money, both for the brand, and it's customers.

I am thinking of buy this new Ford Expedition.
The Ford Expedition Max Platinum gets up to speed very fast and the 10 speed automatic is a great and a fantastic transmission. And it has so much space.
10 speed automatic is junk, it clunks and shift hard. Have you ever even drove one of these?

It's 94k because it's not the classic Ford expedition max it's the expedition max platinum it has added features which costs more money
@@simplyxsafiyayes that shoe cars and trim levels work. When you buy a car and select a trim level it’s still that car. So if you buy an Acura mdx A spec. It’s still an Acura MDX. Just like this is still a 100k ford expedition. You keep stating the obvious like it’s going to change what it means.

🤔 💭 100k for an expedition who are they pricing these things for? Incredible, especially since in the next 5yrs it will be a fraction of the price and possess outdated tech. This is insane. For all that one might as well pick up a navigator or escalade.
An expedition is literally based on the f-150 chassis, the best truck in its segment. It's literally the same vehicle as a navigator, just with a few small tweaks. But since Ford owned Lincoln, they don't have to change much.
The same people who buy 150k ford raptors. Or 100k jeeps Cherokee summit etc.
The depreciation is UNREAL on these. 2019s are like 35k

Yours for $97,979 dollars. Sheesh! My parents had a 1998 Ford Expedition Eddie Bower 4x4 when I was growing up, and my Dad paid $35,000'ish for it out the door. Even with Bidenflation that's only $64,000 today. Cannot believe people are willing to spend this kind of money on a vehicle.

I love the expedition but i just hate the little turn signal that ford put on the suv. for a big suv it will look better with a more longer turn signal .

It is me or 94k for a Ford seems absurd?? I think there are other options around that money. It is Escalade type of money just to say one.
The Ford is more reliable, and offers similar luxury and materials at that price point. A badge doesn't mean anything. The worst car my family ever owned was a BMW, and that's saying something considering my dad owned a $300 fiat back in the 80s.

I am not really sure about the second one but I did a 12 hour trip as passenger in an F150 platinum brand new and it seemed as cheap as it could be compared to price. I went inside multiple Escalade and the sensation is totally different. Regarding reliability Ford is a disaster, all the ford of my friends continue to break to the point that most they sold them (last one 2 weeks ago). I own a jeep that is not a brand famous for its reliability and in comparison seems bulletproof

The expedition's exterior has been exactly the same for the past 18 years or so. They only change the front facia and back, but the structural shape remains the same it seems to me they're just recycling..

I was in the market for an expedition when I discovered it is a lousy V6 engine for such a large car V6 is just wimp. I decided to opt out. Ford Screwed up such a beautiful car by changing from V8 to V6
So only here in the US cars are getting bigger.
If you think this is good, check out the Grand Wagoneer L Series III. Longer, wider, and more cargo space than the "little" MAX! Comes with an in-line 6 twin turbo Hurricane engine, with 510hp and 500 lb-ft torque. MUCH NICER interior with 8 displays. 44 cu ft of cargo space with 3rd row up and has 131 cu ft overall. Night Vision on Series III is standard. So is a cooler in the console. Can be ordered to seat 7 or 8. Rear seats are heated AND VENTILATED! Can't even get that on the Escalade. Super panoramic sunroof and seperate one for 3rd row. 23 speaker MacIntosh. Has options you can't find in other vehicles. Let's see a review !

Before owning a car with heads up I would rate having that as only 12% impotance. After using it in my daily driver (grand wagoneer) i would hate not to have that . Importance 93%. At this price range (and still 20 thous less than the Grand Wagoneer) it is an absolute deal breaker.
The infotainment display is so tacky to me. The system and actual software looks so cheap compared to the *gm* products, and that’s including the digital gauge cluster too.

No one gonna buy a purple truck. Ford, once again (they did this in 2009 and 2010) removes their awesome candy apple red option for Expeditions. Now called Rapid Red, this color is available in all other vehicles except the Expedition. Instead you get “Jewel Red” aka purple. Im now looking at GMC and Chevy and their beautiful deep candy apple reds. Sign, a loyal Ford Expedition owner since 2001.
