Saudi Arabia subsidizes it's farming and food production so if you look for local brands at the supermarkets you get better prices than imported items.

I live for almost 8 years in Saudi Arabia Riyadh... For me cost living in Saudi Arabia was the cheapest than the other country.. i love the food sales...

If I could, I would live in Saudi. It would be amazing if they allowed muslims from other nations to migrate there to obtain citizenship. Sometimes you can get work permits to live/work there, but only in a few specified work fields. I’m a retired US police officer, so my creds don’t really do much for me in that regard.

Northwest of the kingdom, go there ... the Red Sea islands between the city of Umluj and Wajh..you will find dolphins and clean beaches.
It is better to visit the city of Al Bad (Madyan). There are the ruins of the Prophet Yethro, Jabal Musa and Bir Musa, and beautiful beaches near it, such as Muqna Beach, Sharma Beaches, Khurama Beaches, Tiran Islands and Sanafir
And the city of Tayma to see other Archaeology
Tabuk city, Astra farms, rose plantations, and desa
And the city of Al-Jouf has the largest olive farm in the world
Hail in which motor sports and
Al-Qassim is the largest date farm in the world and a kleja candy
Each region distinguishes it

Prices have generally risen in the last year or so since they've increased the VAT from 5% to 15%, which is a substantial increase. It is much more expensive now as every business is trying to profit from this VAT increase as it is applied to everything. Even imported and online bought items that go through customs.
As a general idea from someone that has lived in both the UK (Birmingham) and Saudi Arabia (Jeddah), consumer prices in birmingham was mostly lower than Jeddah. Fast food is mostly the same for the franchises, except for pizza where it is much cheaper, a large pizza from dominoes in the UK is around £16.99, while a large pizza in saudi arabia is only around £7.
Something that is still absent in saudi arabia is memberships for supermarkets and other places. Gyms are significantly cheaper in the UK, around £20 for a decent gym, while it is more than £70 in saudi arabia on average.
Salaries are also not as good in saudi arabia as it is in the UK, even after taxes. This will affect the quality of life compared to the similar cost of living. For example, baristas on average earn about £7-£10/hr in the UK, in saudi arabia this is much much lower at £3.5/hr which minimum wage in saudi arabia.
To sum it all up, you can definitely live to the same standards in either country as long as you know how to manage your expenses and plan ahead. It all depends on how much money you make, wheich city you live in, and your spending habits.
It was very exciting to see you explore saudi arabia and having a great time at it. It is such a wonderful place that is becoming better and more modernised and developing at a very high rate. There are many aspects and areas where it can improve but all it needs is time.
