    My husband is currently in Riyadh and it's the best decision he's ever made, he loves it there and you are right, the money is too good to pass up on. I and the kids are joining him next year, it'll be a different experience for us and again, I'm more than happy to raise my kids in a more decent country. The prospect for growth as well is amazing, it's something we could never get easily living here in the UK.

    I moved here a month ago. My wife and daughter are coming in 2 weeks. The reason was, I felt like we weren't getting ahead in Australia. It was a rat race. We wanted to travel as well so we needed to make a drastic change, otherwise the years were just going to keep passing and nothing would ever change.

      I totally relate to this. How have you found the experience so far?

    • @Hybzy
      @Hybzy ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@petedoessaudi So far, so good. It takes a while to navigate all the paperwork and apps, etc to get the iqama and open a bank account, etc, but I think it gets easier. Once I buy a car and can start driving around with my family here I feel like I'm going to enjoy it a lot more. The Saudis I have found to be very friendly and welcoming. Keep up the great work with the channel too. We watched a lot of your videos while we were preparing our move here!

      @@IamNotAgainstYou I wouldn’t say it’s ‘settled’ because it’s a residency visa that renews every year, assuming you still work with the employer. The residency is called an IQAMA

Second is the safe and has good life style to start a family. To be honest I am sure you will love it. Most of the states are so fun and you have things to do for up to sunrise.

      I have done many contracts throughout the gulf and KSA Riyadh Jeddah and Khobar, divorce rates are high amongst expats as its full of beautiful single women. I divorced my English wife and married a Persian. Temptation is to much in KSA its in your face everyday. Women galore, my other English friends the same but married Indonesians after divorce from there English wives. Women make the same choices to and leave there families for a step up in life. Many saudis have English wives and visa versa.

    Anyone who would leave their pet behind is pretty much a sociopath; i mean you gotta be devoid of a heart to do such a thing, for many people leaving a pet is completely unthinkable.

      I wouldn’t say sociopath more so a selfish person and it’s not like he ditched it on the street or left it in a shelter he left it with his brother in a good home. He definitely should look at the pet like his kid but he’s not devoid of heart just not very attached

    So there is no racism in Saudi Arabia? So what you saying is if someone who doesnt look like you are like a Saudi male can flourish in this country? Really? I would love to meet an Asian person in Saudi to see how they doing.

      Bangladeshi's, Indian's and Pakistani's have it the hardest. Anyone brown and from South East Asia, it's terrible irrespective of your passport. The Arabs call them miskeen. However, if you're light in colour, you're good.

      i am canadian but grew up in saudi. and even back home there is racism. there are bad apples everywhere. but what i can tell you from living in saudi and amongst saudis, plus visiting the country as an adult ( i am now 29) there are POCs working in health care and ARAMCO and as teachers in all levels of education are doing quite well. some of my childhood friends are still living there and have returned after finishing their higher education in their home countries. their families are still there and thriving.
      again it all depends on what you want from life and if you can make the best of your situation.

    *Let's be honest, the ONLY reason you are there is because of money. If you were making the same amount of money in the UK as you are in Saudi with ZERO tax, you would have never left the UK and would have NEVER moved to hot and humid desert where there are no basic human rights. Not to mention, the money they are paying you is based on the passport that you hold, not your skills. I hope you know that the pay in the middle-east is based on individual's citizenship, not skills and experience. Also, the money that's been flowing is all oil money. Nothing else. These are the facts, not my opinion.*

      I agree. But in the most west countries nowdays you only work to pay bills. If I could work in a country like Saudi Arabia and make more money and saving I would do it. Now so much stree only to pay the rent.

Just ask the people who work are professionals and make a decent living for themselves and their family.
