Loved all the chatter in this video. So nice to see all the small tomato pincushions done. I laughed at your comment of "just look at her. I love her mainly because she has a butt like mine." Happy stitching to all!
Love all your interesting chatter...especially touched by how the kits, fabrics, and new acquisitions are a world of "possibilities" and not "have-tos". A great outlook!
Anna, your videos are like sitting and chatting with a friend. I am glad your son and grandson were ok - Mom’s always worry , it is in our genetic code. I love green and I bet the kitchen will be fabulous. Enjoy stitching your new projects.
Thank you for sharing your hot sauce cap idea. What a wonderful little pin cushion you made with it. I love your chatter it always puts a smile on my face and gives me giggles. Cute little pillows too.
Sweetheart, I love your rambling and all that goes with it. You are a joy to share time with. Know you are loved my stitchy friend. Hugs from the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. Linda
I had so much fun with you today. I laughed so much hearing about the hot sauce topper and it came out adorable!! Also love your finishes. Glad to hear your son is ok, and yes I absolutely believe he’s having the time of his life on an adventure ❤️ xxoo
Great chatter and lots of food for thought, as usual, and all good stuff. I love all your little finishes from Keeper of the Pins, so cute! I also love the tomato pin cushions you made, adorable.
Sons are a mothers reason to depend on the power of prayer, I learned when mine were teens. God was truly faithful! Yes gifts for family are way more important. Your tomato collection was beautiful.
Hi❤Anna. Love your chatter especially about your family and the renovations, and of course your stitching. So glad your son and grandson safe and well. But how scary for you and G. It’s very uncomfortable hot weather…tomorrow set to be hottest in x years. Just have to stay cool and think cool. ❤️❤️🇦🇺
Anna, this video of "possibilities" rang true for me today. I am sitting in my sewing room and looking at ALL the potential projects I've collected. You have just brought me peace! That being said, I have put on the brakes for purchasing more this year. I don't have any more room!!!
I love your word possibility . I try see a possibility in anything. I now want to paint a bottle cap too. I love hearing your chatter. Your work inspires me. Glad their safe
Hi Anna, Always love your channel. I just love love love your hot sauce bottle top story. Thank God for your hubby. So, pleased that you didn't give up!!! What a really nice, finished job you completed on the bottle top. So, PROUD of you and your efforts!!! You go girl, you are amazing. Love all of your small pillows. I did them and they were so fun. It's alright not wanting to do something. I feel the same way lots of time. So, glad that your son and grandson are both are healthy and well.! I'm likening your new refocus. I love that you keep it REAL!!! Keep breathing and be blessed.... Alberta from Southern, MD....☃☃☃
I have so many patterns-quilt patterns & books, knitting (many inherited from my mother), and cross stitch. It was overwhelming and anxiety producing. Then I stopped and realized that my purchases had supported the designers & told them I valued their work. Anxiety out the window! I stitch what I love and follow the spirit where it takes me.
What a great talk Anna about possibility. Recently my husband has been diagnosed with an aggressive cancer in his sinus so I’m facing the reality that we just don’t know what freight train might derail our lives and coming to terms with many things. We were married 50 years in June of 2022 and we have moved 19 times so I know where you are coming from with your new home. We moved to this one in April of 2022 with the idea that this would be it. Now I don’t know what will happen so am working hard at my quilting and stitching and just trying to stay sane. You’ve helped me stop worrying about the kits and fabrics I have ahead of me to turn into beautiful things and just relax about the possibilities my sewing room holds.
Anna, I so enjoy your stories of your home renovation projects! I do hope you will do a short video of al the changes you and G have made. I am in the thinking process of changes I want to make to my home and I am interested in any and all inspiration! Thank you for your channel! You have become an inspiration to me as I like to jump on board for the next new thing I love. You have inspired me to say, "Oh, what the heck? I will get back to this one someday!" Which as you have pointed out, makes so much sense and is so fun!
I remember when my brother, sister in law and four children under the age of 10 decided to drive an hour plus home to Chilliwack. No hills or mountains just up the Fraser valley and it started to snow. They got stranded on the freeway which was closed while they were on it. Finally after about 4-6 hours search and rescue appeared and helped carry the 6 year old twins, 8 year old and the 10 year old walked on his home where they were taken to a large farmhouse that helped about 100 people between their house and barn. Mom and I were in a panic trying to contact RCMP in the valley to see if they had been found. The next day a train came along the tracks that ran by the property and families with children 10 and under were evacuated first. The next night they slept in a church basement I think. Then they ended up coming back to New Westminster as the roads were still closed going east. Spent a night with my mom after I picked the 6 of them in my 2 door grand am. Next day my brother and another guy got a ride back where they had to pay to get their cars out of lock up came back picked up the family and drove home. 3 plus days for a one hour drive. So stressful I understand your anxiety and concerns. Your new sewing box and scissors are lovely. I like the idea of your AB intertwined and maybe a bee or two added or a small hive on the medallion.
Cracked me up when you said sometimes you let out the trucker mouth. My husband told me one time that my mouth is worse than the construction workers he has worked with🤣 glad I’m not the only one. Although my daughters have picked it up also. My dad was a marine and my brothers are 6 and 12 yrs older than me so I really didn’t have a chance at being the lady my mother tried to make me be😆.
Thank you for sharing all of your thoughts and outlook to what to stitch and why. I have been a monogamous stitcher because I am afraid if I put a project down I won't come back to it. I am getting more adventuresome and starting more than one. I have not been stitching for long, but I am surprised at how addictive it is! I love it.
Good to hear that your renovations are coming to an end. In my adult life, from my 20's to my 70's, I've moved 21 times!!!!!!!!!!!! With regards to the pandemic, I'm with you......isolation didn't really bother me. What I grieved about was the many years [3] of quilt show cancellations. This year, the major ones over here on the northern east coast, are coming back. I'm looking forward to going. LOVE the red sewing box. I collect all kinds of "interesting containers". Great to hear that your son and grandson were "found". I could echo your angst if that were something that happened here. Blessings to you and G.
thank you for the company this morning as I ate breakfast and had my first cup of coffee. I commented back in 2021(!) about how much you had helped me through COVID. I retired at the end of 2019 with tons of plans of travelling and getting together with other retired friends to stitch and quilt... So much for plans! My early days of retirement were spent cleaning my sewing room and discovering old cross-stitch and then discovering FlossTube thanks to you. Last May I moved from NH to western NY to be near my son and his new family. I arrived May 1 and their twins arrived May 15 (making a 6-week early appearance!). So, I've left behind my stitching friends and everything I know well and although being near my grandbabies is amazing, it's been a bit overwhelming. In January decided to go back to the beginning of your FlossTube and start again. When I got to the end of 2020, I started keeping up with your current postings and I'm getting caught up on the older ones (almost to 2022) (I plan to do this with a couple of other FlossTubers that I love). I have had many laugh-out-loud moments with you and thoroughly enjoy your ramblings...and your enabling! My one box of patterns has grown to 3 and I have a stash of cross-stitch fabric. I have a lovely collection of needleminders and wonderful project bags! I recently had a visit from a friend who is a cross-stitcher and I was showing her my FFs (hoping to be FFOs this summer) and she asked why I used a different color fabric than the called for - i told her that Anna says we are the boss of our own projects and I believe her! Please don't stop the stories and "jabber" - I truly enjoy it all - it's like having a friend across the table. BTW, SO happy your son and grandson are okay. I truly understand how you felt. Have a wonderful day!
Welllll, I buy all the fabric, floss, and charts that make my heart flutter. If I never stitch them, oh well, my favorite past time is leafing thru charts and fondling fabric. Love you guys. 😉🫣🥴😍
I really enjoy your videos, and love that you share not only your stitching but your life as well. I hope you will give us a peek at your home renovations, they sound awesome. I’m so glad your son and grandson are safe.
Thanks for stopping by Anna. Your pincushions are adorable. Love the sewing box. I need that and I need a G in my life to paint it for me. Your story about your son and grandson will definitely be one for your grandson to remember and tell. Glad your painting and bathrooms reconstruction are coming along. Take care. See you next time.
Anna, what about the Christmas stocking? Or is he getting something else? You certainly are blessed with wonderful friends and a wonderful husband! Thanks for sharing.
Love your pillows! So cute! Im glad your adventurous son, and grandson are fine. Sounds like they were having a memorable time adventuring. Looking forward to seeing your progress on the designs you chose for your loved ones.
Oh Anna your son definitely got you to use your word of the year for sure. Breeeeeeeathe. I have such PTSD when it comes to one of my kids calling me late at night with a frantic call. They do stress us out. Thank God your son & Grandson are perfectly fine. 💃🏻💕🙏🏻Mariaknits27
Life is a wild ride for sure my friend. So glad your scary situation came to a happy ending! When life throws us curve balls, we definitely tend to get a new perspective which quite often changes something about who we are or how we proceed. Your stitching has turned to "family first" at the moment, which tugs at my heart strings. I did get a good laugh at the hot sauce incident. I can just see you in my minds eye, paint splattered and cursing a blue streak! Another case of all's well that ends well. It is times like this that remind me of one of my favorite quotes, "“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!” by Hunter Thompson. Let's all live large and hug often! Love you friend. Hugs from NE Ohio.
Oh Anna, I laughed out loud.. my dad when he was alive and now my husband says that when I go to do a project that involves painting…DON’T… I can go to “touch up” a small area with paint and have paint all over me the drop cloth tracked though out the room and out the house. 🤦🏻♀️ True no matter how careful I am . So glad there was a good ending for your son and grandson.. definitely scary. As a mother of boys (with grey hair) I can relate. Thanks for the visit..❤
Always fun to visit with you Anna. Glad your missing son and grandson were ‘found’. Such a great adventure they now have to share. Glad your remodeling is going well even with the dust. Happy stitching!
What I miss most pre 2020, is how neighbors didn't hate neighbors. I miss going to the grocery store and not getting screamed at in line. I miss being in the school drop off line and not having parents send "hand messages" to the crossing guard. I miss taking a walk and not avoiding eye contact with each person I come across because they might be the person leaving cruel threats on the NextDoor app. Truth be told, I stay home more in 2022-23 than I did in 2020-21. On a MUCH lighter note, I loved your comment about your husband. "Someone like me will always need someone like him." Perhaps you could design a sampler?
Anna, I really hope that when your painting and bathrooms are finished that you will give us a tour. I am so very interested and from what you have told us is intriguing. So please? Give us a tour!
Hang in there Anna! The kitchen sounds like it is going to be great! We who live on the edge of wilderness have all gotten that cold hard knot in our gut when someone does not return as scheduled. We can have faith in our loved ones and also respect that the reason we love the outdoors is the challenge of its unpredictability. Not only will your grandson remember the occasion, more importantly, he'll remember all the practical steps his dad took to keep them safe until their circumstances improved.
Saturday morning here! Great to hear from you. Thanks for sharing your daily life with me. We have so many ideas for this house but with the corruption in our country we have to work carefully with our monies lately. We have, thank The Lord, enough to get by to be comfortable but not waste. So the upkeep takes place but nothing extra. We have spent enough when we bought this place but we looked at nice and budget. Hehe that paint experience was so funny and familiar! Huge hugs!
@@stitchroadie4076we lost our oldest sister 2years ago so the time we have together is even more precious. It’s kind of odd to think we always were the “four Albee girls”. Now it’s just the three of us. I guess I’m feeling a little nostalgic today. Love listening to your jibber jabber. It’s just like I’m with my sisters. Thank you.
Hi glad you were on we are on a amish run that helps me to listen to someone it is cooler to night it is dark an 7:30 28" from Indiana love the little pillow s an pine cushions
Always enjoy an update on how you and yours are as well as seeing what you're stitching. Pleased your boys are safe and sound with adventures to recount and recall. My planned projects for 2023 also got additions with Golden WA, 60th and 70th birthdays for starters so more WIPs will take longer! Still, it's up to me to stitch them early enough and get them ff before I run out of time and stop enjoying making them and lose some of the love I'm giving as I stitch. We always had to bear in mind resale value too.
Anna, so glad your son and grandson were found safely. How us Mother's worry over nothing. I'm sure they wee having the best times of their lives. I too need to focus on certain projects, wish you a lot of luck especially when the Squirrels come to visit. Happy Creating!
The problem is finding a shop "close" to me! Crazy how many are closing - being sold and moving - going to online only....Oh my gosh Anna, the hot sauce bottle cap pincushion is ADORABLE!!!!
So glad your family is safe I can only imagine the fear you had, but God is Good . I have made a similar decision on my quilts getting the ones I want for my family done this year is important to me too. I feel my time clock ticking! God Bless!
Good to hear from you Anna, as always. So happy your son's camping trip turned into an unexpected adventure! I do love the possibilities viewpoint. I have a room full of possibilities in my craft room as well. Take care and see you soon.
My original idea for stitching this year has also gone out the window already. I'm going to do what I want to, and not be so structured this year. Yeah, we'll see how that is going in a few weeks. I enjoyed your "talkie" today. Happy Stitdhing!
I relate so much with the feelings associated with being in house that you are not finishing just for it’s sale value. And, the way my life has changed due to many factors? I miss Salem and Portland area for sure. We can wallow or embrace what we have going. Cross stitch and such as you on FlossTube have helped me adjust and thrive. Thank you. You for your genuine chats with us.
Anna, I always enjoy listening to you - so much joy and life updates. I so understand why you were holding your breathe until your son and grandson returned home. Have you ever read the “Wildwood Chronicles”? My grandson (11) and I are reading a couple chapters a week and enjoying a “book club” on Sunday over FaceTime. Your book recommendations have been some of my favorite. Please continue to share what you are reading.
Love your TH-cams even though I haven't commented for ages...but we watch them all. Hope you do a room tour so we see the results of your construction. Are the cabinets Martha Stewart green or dark? Marlene & Jeanette
Love your videos Anna. You have such a calming manner and I really enjoy when you get off the x-stitching track. (Your stitching is great as well) The book you mentioned, "The Myth of Normal", is it authored by R.L. George?
Anna, Loved your floss tube and when I was done I went back to some of your earlier floss tubes and started watching when you moved from Sisters to Portland. I’ve watched about 10 floss tubes - trying to find out if you ever found your 20 skeins of black floss for your Pandemic chart. Did you find the baggie or did you end up purchasing more floss. (I sure hope you found it)
@@stitchroadie4076 Oh noooo! I was hoping you had found it! When we moved from Corvallis to Colorado I lost a lamp that I had just made for my daughter in a ceramics class. I was sick about it. We had movers move us and all our items had been stored till we were able to get into a house. I just hope someone found it and were able to use it. Sigh! I’m assuming you ended up purchasing more floss.
I think I finally have ;my sojo back and I am wanting to get started on Sue Spargo style of embroidery. I began embroidering since a little girl, and I like to do some creative work while I am doing it. I watched ;your sand dollar class with her and would like her first book on those stitches. I think you recommended that for beginners of her style. What else would you recommend for supplies...basics for budgets? Thank you for your time.
Be sure you have a variety of needle types because different stitches require different needles. I would invest in the pattern Toned Down circle sampler because it will give you a wealth of ideas❤️
@@stitchroadie4076 thanks, I did and its on its way. Love watching you Anna. So relaxing and so many good suggestions for stitching, books and life in general.
Loved all the chatter in this video. So nice to see all the small tomato pincushions done. I laughed at your comment of "just look at her. I love her mainly because she has a butt like mine." Happy stitching to all!
Thanks Anna! I enjoy every minute with you!! I truly look forward to stitching and jabbering!! ♥️
I really enjoy your videos. I hope we get to see those kitchen cabinets. I am tired of seeing white.
Hello Eileen how are you doing,

My favorite phrase of this video: “the sheer joy of possibility”. What a beautiful way to look at things ❤
Have used DMC Floche?
No what is it?
It’s a one ply cotton floss. Sold in a hank. I wonder what coverage might be like

Definitely a good one. My heels will be smokin all the way to the end. With stitching clutched to my chest, threads flying.😂
I read G the quote and he laughed out loud…yep the boys in my life 🎉🙏❤️
Smokin 🎉🎉🎉
We walk the same mother path😱🙏
Always fun to visit with you Anna. Glad your missing son and grandson were ‘found’. Such a great adventure they now have to share. Glad your remodeling is going well even with the dust. Happy stitching!
Life certainly is a journey that doesn’t follow a straight line🙏
Some days are more challenging for sure
I love your last line❤️❤️❤️
Saturday morning here! Great to hear from you. Thanks for sharing your daily life with me. We have so many ideas for this house but with the corruption in our country we have to work carefully with our monies lately. We have, thank The Lord, enough to get by to be comfortable but not waste. So the upkeep takes place but nothing extra. We have spent enough when we bought this place but we looked at nice and budget. Hehe that paint experience was so funny and familiar! Huge hugs!
Sounds like you are happy and comfortable ❤️❤️
My 2 sisters and I get together every winter to quilt and stitch. We have such a good time. It is really priceless.
Memories ❤️
My plans change daily😂
Anna, so glad your son and grandson were found safely. How us Mother's worry over nothing. I'm sure they wee having the best times of their lives. I too need to focus on certain projects, wish you a lot of luck especially when the Squirrels come to visit. Happy Creating!
So true!
God Bless!
Tick tock 😱❤️
Love to listen to your chatter
The pincushions are the cutest :)
Great video. 😎
Anna you are a talking billboard and get me in so much trouble. Now I want to do little pillows. 🤦♀
Of course you do😂❤️
Good to hear from you Anna, as always. So happy your son's camping trip turned into an unexpected adventure! I do love the possibilities viewpoint. I have a room full of possibilities in my craft room as well. Take care and see you soon.
Thank you so much for hanging out here with me😀
you were on a roll today! So funny! Love it! Love your finishes and so glad your son and grandson were safe!!!Thank you!
I love those Pincushions. Thanks for sharing. Happy stitching
My original idea for stitching this year has also gone out the window already. I'm going to do what I want to, and not be so structured this year. Yeah, we'll see how that is going in a few weeks. I enjoyed your "talkie" today. Happy Stitdhing!
You can do it!
Thank you for spending time here🙏
Anna, I always enjoy listening to you - so much joy and life updates.
I have and they are on my bookshelf ❤️
❤ the possibility! I shall use this from now on! What a wise woman you are my friend!
The world is now our oyster ❤️
When you said “ don’t look at what I am wearing”. I had to look.
😂😂😂
Love your TH-cams even though I haven't commented for ages...but we watch them all. Hope you do a room tour so we see the results of your construction. Are the cabinets Martha Stewart green or dark? Marlene & Jeanette
I’m not sure what Martha Stewart green is🤔 but they are not dark. We brought a bunch of chips home narrowed it to 2 then painted 2 drawer fronts… 🙏
Love your videos Anna. You have such a calming manner and I really enjoy when you get off the x-stitching track. (Your stitching is great as well) The book you mentioned, "The Myth of Normal", is it authored by R.L. George?
Gabor Mate
Anna, Loved your floss tube and when I was done I went back to some of your earlier floss tubes and started watching when you moved from Sisters to Portland. I’ve watched about 10 floss tubes - trying to find out if you ever found your 20 skeins of black floss for your Pandemic chart. Did you find the baggie or did you end up purchasing more floss. (I sure hope you found it)
Nope…has not turned up🤣🤪
@@stitchroadie4076 Oh noooo!
What shade of green?
Christmas green?
Sage green?
Seafoam green?
Khaki green?
Cause I need to know
😁
💙🖖
You’ll have to come over❤️
Love the pattern Forest home. Is it available or was it an exclusive 🤔
Check with Acorn & Threads🙏❤️
@@stitchroadie4076 thanks, I did and its on its way. Love watching you Anna. So relaxing and so many good suggestions for stitching, books and life in general.
Pistacio green?
Uh oh Anna! What happened to the plan for 2023 of no “musts, have to’s, deadlines” and only stitching what we feel like at the moment?
No shoulds or have toos…just wants❤️
Olive drab green?
Nope
Hunter green?
Baby poo green?
Nope
👍🏽🪡
