Hi Anna, Yes, I can believe that you have 8 new starts so far for January. I just loooove you and your channel. Thanks for being who you are!!! I so appreciate you.! Happy stitching. Alberta from Southern, MD......☃☃☃
Happy birthday G enjoy your birthday month. I’ve seen those hoops and wondered if I would like them, came close to ordering it many times. Thanks for the nudge 😂 Spring is coming…it’s sunny and 13*. Thanks for the great visit.❤
I call your hoop a Fanny stand. And yes, I have always used this kind of hoop, two handed stitching. I have tried in hand but it just isn’t comfortable for me. I test parented too, and those sweet people survived and have thrived! Lol😂
Oh my goodness, my feelings about old samplers too. I love them and love seeing what others do too. My husband and I have enjoyed the roller coaster ride of parenting and life for almost 52 years what a ride! Many years ago I bought my MIL a hoop stand like that and she loved it. I have often wondered if it would work for me as I lean back in my recliner to stitch. Happy Birthday to G. Have a Blessed Day
Happy birthday to G.🎉 it is a blessing to have each other to grow old with. Enjoy life while we have it and be aware of and happy for each blessing. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi! I always look forward to your floss tube. Agree with all you said. I love how you just sit and chat with us about all. As I’ve told you before since watch on tv I’m bad about going to back on iPad to comment. But know how I appreciate you. I wanted to ask you does the new stand you got, work with sitting in a recliner? That’s how I always stitch. I haven’t found one I like so far and have been looking at this one. Thanks for your help. ❤️
I splurged last month and bought myself the pair of red Cohana scissors. I’ve wanted them since I saw Nichola of Hands across the Sea show hers. Have you seen the matching red sewing box? I used to buy jewelry, now I buy sewing tools.
Lots of starts! But I’m just as bad. And I just keep starting and finishing Valentine small pillows to put in my collapsable heart basket made from wood. And so many thank you charts that so sweet. Lol. But I’m having fun. I also got a great start on my Christmas Quaker 2. Love working on it. To many things to do… happy Birthday G! Enjoy celebration.
Your words encourage me so much! We celebrated our 40th this week and I feel your words so much! Oh you make me want to try that hoop!! I use sewing method in hand, think I could make it work?
Hi glad you stopped by till g happy birthday 🎂 I had a good birthday it a Loud one my husband can't here lost his hearing aids boy be glad for him to and me to get them back my neighbor will too it is cold here but tomorrow is back in the 50s I keep saying spring is coming from Indiana
When you talked about “the shelf”, it brought back a memory of a favorite aunt who used to always talk about how she was always spilling food on “the shelf”😁 A very good memory. Thanks for the visit.
I chucked to see that your Hardwicke Frame is called a Fanny Frame! I’ve never been a keen user of embroidery hoops except for needle punch. I do have some scroll frames from when I was cross stitching in the 80’s thru 2000. But haven’t tried them since starting back stitching again. I’m very much an in hand stitcher. I’m glad to hear that it sounds like G had some lovely weather to hike on his birthday. Tonight February 3rd we’ve got wind storms heading our way and rain until my birthday…then a promise of sun on that day. I need to make some new project bags. The shipping is a killer up to Canada unfortunately, my Dutch grandfather and mom and my dad were always in for a deal as am I. Let me know when you head up to Washington state and maybe I can come down and meet up and get away from my condo reno noise.
Your wips are looking so great. I laughed so hard when you said "spider break" because I recalled that most of the time, flosstubers say "squirrel". Thanks for another great stitchy visit.
Loved ❤all your projects and projects binders. During the video I got mesmerized by the blue piece on the wall behind you - I couldn't stop staring at it. In fact, I caught myself losing track of what you were showing us and I had to go back multiple times. If I were to guess, it's sashiko. You might have told us about it before and I missed it, bu would you please tell me what it is. 🙏
Love this video- you know - i was thinking- there should be a small clear “label holder” on the outside of your project bags - like a luggage tag - so you could put all of the information about the project on it - oh - i wonder if they would be hard to make…
Thanks for the visit Anna. Happy Birthday to G. You are so blessed to have each other. Wanted to tell you that awhile back you had mentioned that starting the chart on your pumpkin fabric I believe it was Janine told you to turn it upside down to start stitching at the bottom. Wow that came in so handy on the Temperature Tree chart that I’m working on. Mind blown! Would love to see your WIP on that…I can’t remember what the chart was but I love the fabric. Take care. See you next time.
I remembered G's birthday is about a week before mine so hope he enjoyed his day. I've had a frame like that for years but now can't sit on it for too long. Just got haul charts and threads from 123 Stitch for gifts to make so I'm ready to begin🙂. Good excuse for a spend😄. I must have another try at making Project Bags as I can't justify the expense and postage for all my WIPs and agreed I'd use up stash this year when possible as I went overboard last year! Finding it difficult to work in my overcrowded little Sewing Room yet so thankful to have one. Yes, counting more blessings.
I totally agree with you. Working and raising our family was wonderful but not always easy. Now that we are retired I am so grateful that my husband and I both have creative outlets that we love. Gotta enjoy the journey!
Loving your enthusiasm and your semi-bloopers! I relate so much! That Hardwick hoop looks amazing. We’ve had appalling heatwave conditions here. It’s much cooler today, I reckon, but everyone else here says it’s really hot…can’t figure that out. Hope you and G get to travel again soon. ❤️🇦🇺
Good to see you, I was at the acorns and Threads Gathering via zoom and it was so much fun. Your videos as always a joy to watch. Best Wishes to G on this birthday. 🍧
You inspire me so much!! You get so much done. I wish I was as dedicated as you are. There isn't enough time in the day for me to do everything I want to do. How do you stay so motivated?
I was already for bed when I saw a new floss tube up from you Anna! I told my husband your clips are shorter than most and I wanted to watch it ◡̈ . Now I will hit the pillow and dream of stitching! Got a good giggle from your spider break and that hoop set up really looks good! Love all your starts! Thanks so much for your delightful floss tubes!
I’ve seen these hoops but they always say you “sit” on the platform. Never thought you could put it between your legs. Does it really work in a recliner type chair? I have table/lap type, but still looking for a better solution - for those rare times when I need a hoop and am not stitching in hand. I appreciate your advice!
Another hoop? You'll have to give us an update. Not a reproduction sampler person either, whew. ! If you come up to WA and on the Kitsap peninsula let us know! BTW Austen Chase coffee in Silverdale is the best!
Have a great day. I am so proud that my kids turned out great grownups, esp when l look back and think of all my mistakes! Hehe take care and huge hugs.
I absolutely agree with you on reproduction samplers. I’m not putting anybody else’s name on my stitching project. I generally don’t put my name either on a project
Are you still able to use the sewing method with your new frame? I stitch in hand (hence my FlossTube name!) and have always struggled with frames. I’m so curious about this frame!
Loving your flosstube videos. Also enjoying your honest opinions about things and how you describe them too. You have a great personality and enjoy life so much. I hope you never change.
I had a girlfriend when she was pregnant she would use her self to hold her mirror to put on her makeup, until it got kicked off a couple of times. I started watching Cindy's Adventures in Cross Stitch, I love her she shed.
Loved you video today, thanks for sharing
Thank you so much for your comments about samplers. I feel the same way.
I love two handed stitching and I use the that hoop more than any. I think I can stitch faster. Love seeing you❤️
Just jumping on to say how pretty your hair looks. And poke you to no forget to work on your trees. I finished another page last month. Loving it.
Trees😍😍😍

Spring is coming…it’s sunny and 13*. Thanks for the great visit.❤
I think you’ll like it😀
Thanks for another great video. It's freezing up here in Canada. It's minus 45 degrees Celsius below zero. Yikes!🤤
🥶❄️
Thank you for sharing your stitching + life Anna. 😃
Thanks for watching!
I call your hoop a Fanny stand. And yes, I have always used this kind of hoop, two handed stitching. I have tried in hand but it just isn’t comfortable for me. I test parented too, and those sweet people survived and have thrived! Lol😂
Such a perfect description…test parenting

It is working great in my stressless chair with my feet up😀

So I have used in a regular office car, my stressless chair with my feet up and my upholstered stitching chair and it has worked great😀
Sweet lady returns💕
Happy Birthday to G🎂 such an enjoyable video Anna and yes stitch what you want to ! Thankyou for sharing 👍🪡🇳🇿❤️
I splurged last month and bought myself the pair of red Cohana scissors. I’ve wanted them since I saw Nichola of Hands across the Sea show hers. Have you seen the matching red sewing box? I used to buy jewelry, now I buy sewing tools.
No!!!!! A box😍

Your stitching is beautiful. Love the scissors and Happy Birthday to G.

Love that!

Happy birthday 🎂 Mr G

You inspire me so much!! You get so much done. I wish I was as dedicated as you are. There isn't enough time in the day for me to do everything I want to do. How do you stay so motivated?
Interesting question because I don’t this motivation is even a factor…will have to explore this topic

I wanted to thank you fort putting the Mama Mia Parody for Crafters on your blog. It was very funny...
You are so welcome! I laughed so hard!
I think I've seen that bear on the Charmin commercial 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Happy birthday G.
😂
That new stitching stand that you showed, would you be able to use it with a magnifying light? Or does it sit too close to the body?
I use my light with it😀
perhaps it is a fairy riding on a bear? 🎉 happy birthday to G.
🤔😂
I absolutely agree with you on reproduction samplers. I’m not putting anybody else’s name on my stitching project. I generally don’t put my name either on a project
I usually don’t either 🤪
You and G totally blessed. Xxx🇦🇺 Many more for you.
Are you still able to use the sewing method with your new frame? I stitch in hand (hence my FlossTube name!) and have always struggled with frames. I’m so curious about this frame!
Yes you can! I load it with just enough play so I can sew along😀
Loving your flosstube videos. Also enjoying your honest opinions about things and how you describe them too. You have a great personality and enjoy life so much. I hope you never change.
Anna does your Harwick hoop allow you to rotate it to see the back and tie off your threads and cut. If not how to you manage doing that?
It does🎉it is very versatile
Well preached, my Friend. Hubby and I celebrated our 54th wedding anniversary last week. It was a journey. ❤❤
Congratulations🥳!
That is awesome!❤️❤️
I’m bummed my Libby doesn’t have The Book of Lost Names. Wish they had “we’ll email you when we get it” capability.
Oh no…an excellent book!
You make me laugh 😂❤ thanks 🙏🏼

Parenting is so hard. You think you are getting it then the goal posts move! New challenges all the time. So glad my girls are grown up.
Thanks Anna.
I am not a sampler stitcher at all!
I have always told my oldest child, our son, that he as my experimental child. I get what you mean about that first born. Lol.
Happy birthday Mr G❤🎉🎂🎉🎉🎉
