Glad I found your flosstube. I know stitchers who have over 100 wips. I love watching Stitchin Mommy, Cornhusker State Stitchers, Two Tall Stitchers, Javagirl stitcher, Cowstitcher, Brenda the handiwork maniac. I also know a flosstuber that last year, because it was a milestone birthday, decided in 2021 to start 222 projects in 2022! Her mom made for her project bags and help her cut all the fabric. She was so organized. I have 24 wips. I have been stitching since the late 80s.
IF ya'll live out I live at the end of the earth. LOL IT's 50+ miles in 2 different ways to Michael's or Hobby Lobby and that's one way. Love you floss tube. Looking forward to seeing more from you two.
I’ve made a hole too. I like the interfacing ideas someone else suggested I have also woven in another thread of the linen, pulled from the side and stitched over it. Love your Flosstube ❤❤❤.
Welcome, your enthusiasm was amazing. I love cross stitch and to see new stitchers is so much fun. I so look forward to your future flosstubes. Your stain glass project is so amazing-go for it!
Omg! I looked at it in further detail…. It was 660 by 990!!! With 169 pages on the PDF! INSANITY! We just posted our second Flosstube. We hope you enjoy 😊
@@bandestitchery I saw it finished and it is worth every stitch. Absolutely stunning, and the colors are fabulous. Plus each character is just fun to do. If you think of it as a many multi year life project then it is doable. Do a certain amount of stitches every month
To repair a hole in Aida, cut a square big enough, with a little extra around the hole, temporarily stitch with regular thread to hold it in place on the back, of course, while lining up the holes, then turn to the right side and cross stitch and finally remove the temporary thread. Your video was fantastic! One thought, preplan where you film so the sun doesn’t get you! Lol Great job! 👏👏
Really enjoyed your first video. I started watching because of the quilt behind you. I made the same quilt about 12 years ago. It’s one of my favorites
Great job for your first Flosstube!! Watching y'all makes me think of my many Mom & daughter friends (or me & my daughters - but they don't quilt or cross stitch, no matter how much I try😢). Just a thought - get a sheet of white paper, or write project board to put behind your fabrics & patterns - that seems to work well for others. Can't wait for your next Flosstube!!
I love your flosstube! Keep making them! I watched you, then lost it before I subscribed and could find you. I didn’t know the name of your flosstube. Finally I asked Two Needles Pulling Thread. I thought you were from Maine! They commented back, giving me your name! I subscribed! ⭐️⭐️🌲🌲❤️
Emma, I have started my binge watching of your Flosstube. Both of you are naturals, loving it. Sooo we have more in common, my husband and I started dating on Dec 17th and my daughter’s first theater movie was Nemo. She ate the entire tub of popcorn. Lol
Nice start! Looking forward to enjoying your videos. You both seem very sweet and very talented! I'm just returning after 20 years to the floss world, looking forward to tips and tricks. Blessings on your new adventure!
Great first flosstube! You are naturals at it. Love all your projects and so fun to see Emma go down the "rabbit hole". I just finished stitching the Snowballs for Sale and I stitched The Wizard of Oz last fall. Both great patterns. You will love them. Looking forward to your next video! Happy stitching.
try LED lights. I like them so much better than the Ott likes. Naturally it''s up to you but try them both and see which one you like best. It's a great investment even if you are buying a house later on.
Great video! Counting is hard for a CPA, try those us who are number challenged! Just take a regular b/white pattern and color it in with Crayola super tips pens. Caution, color pens and markers bleed thru, put on plastic or cardboard to color. Y’all are fun.
Great job girls. I just found you and subscribed immediately. To me flosstube is about how people make you feel even more than the stitching. You make me feel happy!
Ii made the Bali wedding ring for my grandson and his wife. I was very intimidated by it. The instructions are fantastic and Judy has great info online. Watch the videos before even cutting out the patterns.. have fun. I am so enjoying the banter . Heard about you from two needles.
Great video ladies. Enjoyed your energy. E - you got engaged on my birthday!!👏 If you like geometrics, you should check out Modern Folk Embroidery. Also, if you want to make a needle minder, stitch a small motif or even your initial and put it on a good size self-covered button form and cut off the shank at the back and glue a magnet there instead. B - I also have a stressful coordinating job - only in a translation company. For the hole in your fabric, try removing a thread from the edge of the fabric and stitching that back into the fabric where the hole is on the warp and weft to fill in the hole. You would only have to stitch about 1 in either way - up/down and each side of the hole. Just so you know, your camera was out of focus - only focused when you brought objects really close to it.
Welcome to flosstube! You guys are so cute! Emma, I used to give away all my projects when if first started too. But now I'm like your mom, I stitch stuff I want to keep. And you really do need to make sure the person you give it to really appreciates it! Good luck with all your goals! Doing a BAP is so much fun so I'd say get one of those! haha!
I had wanted pattern keeper but I have an i phone. Someone showed me good notes and I love it. Never want to stitch without is again! Nice to meet yall!
Love your video, I feel like you both have the same style I have. I agree, stitching is so therapeutic. I'm a nurse case manager so understand your stress. I'm going to be stitching on to Live on Little as well.
Welcome to the stitching family. I wish there would have been a TH-cam when I started back in the 70's. I felt like I was in the boonies when I started stitching. No one I knew was into stitching. Now that I have returned it is like a new language for me-parking? Easy Grid? HAED? Patten Keeper? This old dog can learn new tricks. At least I saved my floss. My Mom gave me a book and so I am self taught. Appreciated the lovely quilt you had hanging in the back. Am looking forward to seeing your progress.
Way to go! I grew up (til I was 13)in Winslow, Maine. I went to Univ of New Hampshire for 2 years, but have settled in Washington State now. I do miss Maine so much and would love to take my family there. I love that your WIPS are more manageable (not 73!) because those numbers stress me out 🤣 Emma-You may want to check out the museum stitcher. She is a younger stitcher. Can’t wait to see more
Hello from California! I so enjoyed this video and your lovely relationship. Designer Carolyn Manning has some geometric designs that might appeal. I have “Bountiful Blooms” that I’m excited to start: it has gorgeous colors.
I enjoyed your Flosstube so much!! Brandi, you have so many projects that are on my wish list. And Emma, you have some awesome projects so far and great ones on your wish list. Check out Emma Congdon designs. They are bright, have sayings, and are really fun. My library has some of her books and she has an Etsy shop called Stitchrovia. You have a giver’s heart like my daughter and it sounds like it really lights to up to do that. I’m like Brandi where I think about how much time a piece will take as I consider if I can gift it or not and if people will appreciate it. I’ve given my sister an ornament that I think she loves. You two are a perfect combo of newer and experienced stitchers and I love all your projects. I can’t wait to see what’s next!
You guys are great!! Welcome to stitching! Love your Quaker Halloween!! Love the flower project you two are doing! Back stitching makes it pop...you'll see. Go Bruins! Second only to my Penguins!!!ha I have a pile of patterns I can send you for free if you let me know what type you like. Not full coverage. Love the chicks see pattern, just beautiful. Great job you two!
Emma, CPA Exam Tip: Plan to succeed at FIRST sitting. Many people who take the CPA exam plan to fail - literally. For example, they will say they want to pass two sections initially and other sections later. Me, I always plan to succeed. I passed the CPA exam at first sitting. I took a CPA review course and I did 100% of the homework. At the time, I was a young Tax Attorney. I took the exam so I would understand the language of corporate accountants to whom I gave legal advice. Good luck!
I found you guys from a recommendation from two needles pulling thread, and I just love your flosstube, amazing projects and dynamic, already hooked, congratulations on such a good video, love from the UK x
Great first video ! I heard about you from Teresa the Garden Goose stitcher ! I love all your Wips, and how nice to have each other to share this wonderful hobby ! Welcome to Flosstube and I look forward to your next one !
I ripped a hole in my fabric too. A weaver told me to get a thread from the side and weave pieces in. Leave the ends and cross stitch over them a few stitches before cutting them off. It worked!!!
Well done ladies! Weldome to Flosstube. You did a wonderful job. Looking forward to watching you again. I was nervous on my flosstube but it gets easier over time.
You were both such naturals on the video!! Love having Mom with stash so Daughter goes shopping in it! Such fun to share the love of stitching together and rabbit holes were made for stitchers to go down😄. Congratulations on #1 of hopefully many more. I’m just starting Winter Rose Manor and I’m testing my colors on my fabric to make sure they will show up nicely. Hope you can salvage your already stitched piece!❤️
Hello girls and welcome to the wonderful world of flosstube :) Tbh, I still see myself as a newbie, even I'm stitching since 2020 now. There's so much to learn all the time. :) I do have a similar stained glass pattern, but for Harry Potter instead of Disney (the Disney one really is stunning!)... but I decided to just stitch up some of the parts, 'cause it's not fully what I want, even it looks amazing. Can't wait to get started on that somewhen (have too many patterns I want to start XD). I really adore all of your projects. I don't have a special stitching style... like patterns from all over the designer world. ;) If it's my vibe I love it, no matter if it's muted or colorful or primitive or modern... there are soooo many awesome patterns out there! Oh... and not to forget... you're from the Maine area, if I understood right... so you need to watch Pam and Steph from JustKeepStitchin' here on flosstube! :) They are awesome and I'm confident you'll like them. :) Last, but not least a little tip (even I'm sure you might have figured it out until now... I'm late to the game, sorry!). If you want the camera to focus on a pattern, just hide your faces behind. Cameras always focus on faces first, so everything else gets blurry. :) Now I'll subscribe and watch the second flosstube of yours today evening :) Excited for it! :) Stay safe and healthy! Congrats to the engagement!!!! :D And lots of love from Germany! :)
Welcome to Flosstube! Always listen to your mother, I swear, we do know what you like! 😉Congrats on the engagement, Emma! Hope you guys stick around for a while.
Hello; nice to meet you both. You have fun energy and love that you're a mum & daughter duo. I like the variety of your different tastes in cross stitch patterns.
I'm totally loving your first flosstube!! I love team efforts at flosstube!! Especially mom and daughter! You go girls!! I am already love you!! I'm attending a retreat in MI in April and Teresa Kogut is the guest designer! I have that same project bag in my cart on Etsy!! Have fun stitching together!! I sure want my daughter to stitch with me!! Or even her husband as he's pretty crafty too!! Have you watching the 2 Needles ladies from Maine too???
You two are a hoot. I love watching you both. Two needles pulling thread recommended you two and I’m so glad I did! Emma welcome to the flosstube world it’s a fun rabbit hole to be in!
Great first video ladies!! I've cut a hole in my fabric before. I ended up ironing a small piece of lightweight interfacing over the hole on the back and then stitching right over it. So excited you're coming to Stitch New England!
I posted my other comment too soon. You mentioned Bangor. My family is in Orrington and Bucksport and East Millinocket so I’m very familiar with the area I’m also doing the Brenda Gervais summer schoolhouse series and the peppermint lane houses. I wasn’t sure if you stitch samplers, but There is one called Maria Davis and she said she was from Bangor so I had to buy it.
Hi girls. Just down the road from you Jay here. When I first cross stitched I gave everything away also; now I have picked it back up and have a list I want to to for me. I even have a very old WIP from either late 80's or early 90's I need to finish. I enjoyed your first floss tube and looking forward to more. I even learned something new even...didn't know what a BAP was, had to look it up after. Brandi, is that a BOM from a few years back that was available at Pins & Needles? I think it is the one I have and didn't do yet; my goal is to have it done for next Christmas to hang on my dining room wall.
My maiden name is Berry also! I have two sons who are CPA's as well. Good luck with your tests, it is a commitment for sure! My favorite designers are With They Needle and Thread and Plum Street. So excited to see a young stitcher and the enthusiasm for our hobby... Stitching calms my soul!! Enjoyed the video, I'll be back!
Well done ladies!!! I'm glad Missy mentioned that you had your first Flosstube up. Good to see you again Brandi and nice to meet you Emma good luck with your new obsession. Maine is being well represented!! Love seeing all your projects, keep up the good work. Ken
Hello and welcome to Flosstube from the UK! Loved every minute of your first video, you two are so funny and such good chemistry behind the camera! I think it's great that you both have very different stitching styles, means we get to see lots of different patterns! Well done, can't wait to see more of your progress on your lovely WIPS. Kate x
Brandi and Emma - what an excellent first FT! I finally had the chance to watch it and I loved it! I’m so happy that you started doing this and I’ll be looking forward to each new episode! Great job ladies! ❤️
This is fantastic! I love listening to your banter, and I felt like I was sitting at the table with you gals. Great job! I can't wait until your next episode! Brandi! Your oldest wip is less than a year old!?? How can that be possible? So you like finish things in a timely manner!? 🤔
Thank you Teresa we had a lot of fun doing this Flosstube together. I probably should’ve made an amendment to my oldest wip. It’s since I started stitching again. Believe me I have a box of shame from previous dimensions kits and others!!! I may still have my dreamsicles from like the 90’s ( but we don’t talk about Bruno!)
Morning! I’m just over here in Ohio binging all three of your Flosstube episodes! When can I expect number 4 because I’ll need more ASAP! It was SO much fun stitching with you girls!
What a great first video!! I cannot wait to meet you both!! 😊 Also I have the sleeping bee pattern by The Blue Flower and I cannot wait to start on it!!
You two are great. I thought you were sisters when I first started watching you. Keep up the great work. I lived in Farmington Maiine for many years and love the state. What part of Maine do you live in. Question please>>>>what stitchy group did you join, I didnt catch it. Also, you spoke about Portsmouth, NH. What group were you speaking of? Welcome, loved your chit chat!
th-cam.com/video/LHwO_FAFDSI/w-d-xo.html Don’t panic about the hole. The link is to a 5 minute video of Nichola Parkman showing how to mend a hole in cross stitch fabric.
Hello from Arizona.Great job. Totally loved every single minute. Do you happen to know the name of the designer for the farm life pattern? Thank you in advance,. . Michelle Cunningham 🙂
You can fix the hole in your fabric. Watch a hardanger how to video and they should review what to do if you cut a thread by mistake. Also, don't rip out your house. Just outline it.

Hello; nice to meet you both. You have fun energy and love that you're a mum & daughter duo. I like the variety of your different tastes in cross stitch patterns.
Thank you so much 😊
Great video gals!!!! I'm truly looking forward to seeing you as often as you post!
Thank you, I really look forward to it
I'm totally loving your first flosstube!!
Hi Brenda yes we do watch two needles we love them!!! So glad you liked our flosstube, we appreciate your positivity. Thank you!!!
You two are a hoot. I love watching you both. Two needles pulling thread recommended you two and I’m so glad I did! Emma welcome to the flosstube world it’s a fun rabbit hole to be in!
Thank you! I am very excited 😊 -Emma
Hello and welcome! It’s great to see another Maine Floss Tube! Nice job to you both!
Thanks so much! 😊
Welcome to the Flosstube World. You 2 did a great job!!! 🌻🌻🌻
Thank you! 😊
Great first video ladies!! I've cut a hole in my fabric before. I ended up ironing a small piece of lightweight interfacing over the hole on the back and then stitching right over it. So excited you're coming to Stitch New England!
Oh Helen, thank you so so much for your suggestion! I am going to try it. Fingers crossed!
Brandy, Nicola Parkman has a FlossTube video entitled: "A Tutorial Repairing A Hole In Your Linen." It may be helpful. :-D
Welcome to Flosstube!!!! Your energy is amazing, I look forward to seeing you again.
Thank you so much!!
Hi Nancy! It is a BOM pattern I think I got it at fabric garden. Thank you for watching!
Thanks for the kind words and encouragement ❤️
This is awesome that we have so much in common!!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed your 1st video. From southern maine
Thank you so much! Hopefully we will see you at a stitchy day!
Wow, thank you

Hello and welcome to Flosstube from the UK! Loved every minute of your first video, you two are so funny and such good chemistry behind the camera! I think it's great that you both have very different stitching styles, means we get to see lots of different patterns! Well done, can't wait to see more of your progress on your lovely WIPS. Kate x
Oh Kate thank you so much. This makes my heart happy. I appreciate you!

Brandi and Emma - what an excellent first FT! I finally had the chance to watch it and I loved it! I’m so happy that you started doing this and I’ll be looking forward to each new episode! Great job ladies! ❤️
Thank you Shirley we can’t wait to stitch together
Fun to watch ladies. Keep on filming. You did a great job for being your first video
Thank you Carol!
Try reweaving your linen for Rose Manor. I did that once, and it worked out fine. Reweaving is not as hard as it sounds.
What fun to watch you. You were both terrific fun. Eagerly awaiting episode 2.
Thank you Joy!
Impressive debut! Excited to.see more! Karen of Prom Queen Stitcher.
Thank you!!!
Loved your first video! Such a fun duo. That Winter Garden finish is beautiful!
Thank you so much!!
Congratulations on such a fun first video!💝. I came over after two needles pulling threads mentioned you.💕
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Morning! I’m just over here in Ohio binging all three of your Flosstube episodes! When can I expect number 4 because I’ll need more ASAP! It was SO much fun stitching with you girls!
I had the very best time! We are still so overwhelmed by how many amazing people can fit into one room. Kathy is so loved!
Good job; and I learned your engaged Brandi! We'll have to talk soon

Thank you Judy. It’s been a whirlwind!
Loved your first video! Thank you for sharing your stitching with us. Hope to meet you sometime at a meet up here in Maine.
Thank you Luanne. I usually go to the Augusta meet up hope to meet a fellow Maine stitcher too!
You could've put farm butts and put it in your bathroom 🤣

Nicola Parkman’s flosstube #7 is a tutorial on repairing a hole in your linen.
Thank you so much for your suggestion I will watch and see if I can repair it. I hope so! Thank you again for your help
Great video! I was wondering what the name of your monthly house pattern? I haven’t seen them. See you in the next one.
I believe it’s called Year Village by Zanderprint on Etsy
You two are great. I thought you were sisters when I first started watching you. Keep up the great work. I lived in Farmington Maiine for many years and love the state. What part of Maine do you live in. Question please>>>>what stitchy group did you join, I didnt catch it. Also, you spoke about Portsmouth, NH. What group were you speaking of? Welcome, loved your chit chat!
Hey Susan! I actually live in Farmington! What a small world. The stitch group is Vactionland Stitchers on Facebook. - Emma

Don’t panic about the hole.
I got it a at fat quarter shop it’s an its sew Emma pattern. I thought it was Lori Holt but when I looked it doesn’t say
@@brandifarnsworth Ty so much!
You can fix the hole in your fabric. Watch a hardanger how to video and they should review what to do if you cut a thread by mistake. Also, don't rip out your house. Just outline it.
I meant to say Emma is engaged (:
Show patterns on white background and they will focus better
Thanks for the advice 🙂
that's not a BAP...sorry. I'm doing a periodic table that is 60 inches by 96 inches
OH MY WORD! I more meant the amount of stitches ahahaha!
@@bandestitchery lol yeah I have some smaller BAPS (is that a thing? LOL) that are in the 50k to 400k stitches =)
