*Overall **enjoyable.fishing** recommend I feel the Shadowfire 360 offers excellent value for those who are new to tenkara and don't want to break the bank on their first rod purchase.*
I just can't get enough of the Catfish Dude! I've watched every fishing video at least 8 times! I watch every day! I need more! More! More! It's refreshing to spend time with someone down to earth like The Catfish Dude! Who's Lisa and show her once in a while! Please!
Fishing video's never grow old. I enjoy so much your persistence! You always provide a high quality fishing experience in all your video's Steve. Thank you so much for all the fun. Kindest Regards to all...
Lord o mighty what a Hog. Glad we got the chance to see you catching him. You sir are one of the Best catfisherman supporters out there and that fish was well deserved. Thanks for the Vid and keep em coming.
Steve... You are no longer known as Steve the catfish dude... You are known as Steve the catfish legend! Thanks to you and your video's and your knowledge I was able to catch my first big blue over 20lbs and my buddy caught his first flathead ever. At 30lbs. Thank you legend. Keepum comin bud.
My largest Blue Cat went 48 pounds, and I think your's might have tried to eat mine. 80 to 100 range I'd say. Excellent job of keeping him out of your other lines, solo no less.
Another super job of educating your fans on the finesse tricks to pull in great fish Steve. I learn something every time I watch one of your videos, thanks again.
Another great one by Steve Douglas. Man no need to apologize for being outa breath it looked like that big ol cat was out of breath to. Caption after that one pic with you and the fish siitn down, He fought hard ,I gave him all I had, FINALLY I get to see the top side of Steve Douglas's boat.
I've watched all of your videos from the beginning and I have to say they have developed into a real professional looking production. Your camerawoman is getting better and better; her skills are top notch. Keep them coming and the longer the better!! I'm thinking from 95-105 pounds on that monster.
My name is Carl Cummins. I need some information about where I can find a Catmaxx baitcast reel. I've called Bass pro stores in Cincinnati and Springfield Missouri and Lexington,Kentucky and I haven't had any luck. What is my best bet?
That's a really superb fish and video. I got tickled because ol Steve almost got a little emotional after he got that beast in the boat! Good stuff Steve and Lisa!
I do appreciate you trying to teach the techniques in catching the fish. It really helps plus it's a lot of fun. I still laugh when you were catching the carp you were having too much fun but that is what it is about. Thanks again I watch everything you make and will get some of your product soon too.
Now here is a great video, I like videos that do a little explaining at the beginning, then start fishing. The ones "not talking about you Steve." The ones that want to explain about every single thing they are doing. I usually do not watch those.
I love your video's……you are a real catfish whisperer….Just guessing 80 pounds plus….I remember drooling over 35 pound Blue Cat's that were stocked in a local lake in WV when I was 15 years old……You make it look easy when fishing conditions are less than ideal…..I have learned so much from you……Thank you so much!!!
That big fish just calmed down and let you lap it. He got mad after you took him off your lap.. Looked like you were trying to burp him and rock him to sleep.. Great Catch Steve D......
Congratulations on a whale of a day. Ain't you glad you didn't head for the barn when that storm rolled up on you? You are a tough Hombre and prove that, "The harder you work, the luckier you get". Congratulations and thanks for letting us share your day with you. Good luck at the Monsters on the Ohio in a couple of weeks.
Now after a hard day working at it, that is a fish. Really nice and it took some time to get him in also. I have always liked that drag singing when they first hit it. That usually means a good sized fish. Now I'm a good sized fellow but I may not have gotten him in the boat. I'm not as stout as I once was. I could see you had to strain some. Now that was a good catfish video. Thanks as always Steve
Steve, You mentioned that front coming in and if you notice the clouds in the shot as you first net this fish behind you there is a distinct frontal marker in the clouds. There were multiple changes in weather on this day and you stuck it out paid your dues and were rewarded nicely. For this angler there is no greater feeling to see you experience that and RELEASE that old girl WTG.
Yet Another Great/Awesome video Steve. Thank you so much for all you do and share with all of us! Sure hope to meet you some day and shake your hand. ;-)
Very nice fish. i have watched all your videos and like always this video didnt let me down. Keep the great videos coming, helps to pass time when im not fishing.
60-75#.....my 2 cents i believe evrything you did plus weather conditions..produced that monster....you changed depth because of conditions....yor just being humble...i appreciate it....i watch every video...u make ...GOOD SHIT BROTHA
No matter how poor the fishing was that day, just that 1 fish made up for it. Hell, it would make up for a whole week of poor fishing. Very nicely done there Steve. Some day, I would like to see if I can catch one of them monsters up here on the Missouri River in South Dakota. Great video Steve.
as usual great video. the weather is really wreaking havoc with the heat down here near memphis. there picky and are only picking it up if they really want to. maybe a week of cooler weather will help.
Great catch! Friends and I who fish the maumee river for flatheads are coming down to the Ohio river in October, have never fished for bluecats and am excited to learn.
+Steve Douglas The Catfish Dude I will have to look into that, we are just looking to study, learn the catfishing from parts of the Ohio river from Cincinnati thru Kentucky for 4 days. We have implemented a lot of your tips into our catfishing in the maumee, thanks they have worked very well.
great video Steve . your videos give me the inspiration to try and catch big fish so next month I'm going to a lake a few hours from me to target big glue cats . catfishing is my passion and your videos are the best
Great video Steve! This is probably the main technique that I use to fish, I use bigger floats for bigger baits like skipjack and it helps keep the bait suspended and more in the strike zone. Sounds crazy but I also seem to catch more fish on the lime green floats. I think the bigger ones I use on Wheeler are 2.5 inch vs the standard 2 inch. Also only use 2 ounces of weight and plot my course based on the wind direction which sometimes requires me to drive quite a bit to find an area that works or is parallel with the wind. The best drift sock I have found is the Cabelas 78 inch Pro Angler. Keep the great vids coming and was great to meet you at Winter Blues! The 2 ounce sinkers don't seem to hang up as bad and instead of clipping them on I just use 30 pound test so its a weak point and you only lose the lead. I average 100 to 150 feet behind the boat. Farther always seems to be better and I keep my speed .1 to .3 max.
Hey Steve, awesome video! Good rigs you were use like using all of them. Nice cats your catching there! YOU got to love them trout lines hate get your hook in that.Love u boat man that thing is awesome. Great cat at the need congrats on that catch. Keep the videos coming Steve and catch the biggins.
Steve, i like your set up. It looks like you are running quite a few electronics, fish finder, lights, trolling motor, etc. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind doing a video of how you set up your boat. Mainly your battery supply. I see you use your trolling motor for extended periods of time and how do you keep your batteries charged, and what kind of trolling motor and sonar do you recommend/prefer?
I've seen your videos to muddyrivercatfishing and you get some big flattheads from places I wouldn't even think to look for even a minnow lol hats off to you sir
That float works great when your fishing the hot shallow waters up near me where we got bad vegetation growth on the bottom. distinct difference between with and without a float both on fish caught and vegetation covering the bait. Also, we use go pros and I found you can get knock off mounting gear off ebay for nothing and it works great. I got a 20 something piece attachment kit (head , chest, dash cam, stick pads, tripod, stick, float stick, ect) with a case for 25 bucks lol FYI. Thanks for the great video.
Great vid Steve I'm going to have to try this technique the next time I'm out on the boat great fish by the way he was a pig I'm gonna say upper 80s low 90s for sure great job keep em comin and good luck in the future
This is also a great a great rig if your anchored and want to suspend your bait if u use the right size float and bait I use this all the time especially when there's lots of moss and grass on the bottom
*Overall **enjoyable.fishing** recommend I feel the Shadowfire 360 offers excellent value for those who are new to tenkara and don't want to break the bank on their first rod purchase.*

lisa is my wife but is very camera shy, she loves to run the camera but not be in front of it.
