Way better than World at War. Never seen a game that was so much historically accurate, and the characters that dont feel like superheroes, but nameless heroes, who lived and died. Such a beautiful game. 1/10
Well the Japanese probably did receive SOME equipment from Germany. I mean the Germans sent at least one tiger 1 to Japan! However the German equipment would likely see little to no combat on the Japanese front excluding extreme circumstances. On the other hand, guns like the AS 44 were not even put into service let alone used by combat units making it quite stupid that they were added especially when there is so many guns you could have used instead! So I would say the experimental prototypes is slightly more stupid!
@@griffinkelley8785 The German equipment Japan did buy was only used for testing purposes, against their own firearm types. Pretty much zero chance you'd find a German gun in Japanese hands, at all
It's so weird that there is so much wrong with this game. Like, they had most of that stuff figured out back in World at War, yet somehow they menaged to put German guns in the pacific front.

I really don't want them to do that lol. They will just be turning a ww2 game into some alternate ww2 while saying its ww2 (and yeah please don't forget that, micro transaction lots of it so Activision can sleep better) Cod as we knew it 10 years ago is long gone and made room for the cash grab that it sadly has become. Its really a shame because cod games look really good and sound pretty good but when some money related (gaining more) decisions are made everything is fucked up.
@John Homer Of Mogu Mogu or they could do the 3 years of the eastern front that they skipped over after Vendetta. We could get Kursk and Konigsberg maybe. Also they could fix the nade spam problem for veteran.
That kind of quality, but I'd like more theatre variety instead of the constant America dick sucking. The Soviet stuff was good in that game, but I felt the lack of anything commonwealth - and I also think it'd be nice to see some completely neglected theatres and nations (I'm not even going to start listing because I'd be here all day), and some different perspectives including some axis perspectives. People say "ww2 has been done to death" in games, but it's more like 10% of ww2 has been done to death. Nobody gives a fuck about muh omaha beach lol
So happy we got to see Polina's character arc. She went from "I want to kill Nazis" to "I want to kill Nazis" with everything her saying being "I want to kill Nazis". It really made fall in love with her characters incredible writing
@@Tronathon242 Oh yeah. I liked how the bloke who ran the place was Steiner. I thought it'd be the BO1 Steiner as CoD is linking all the games together now. After you kill him I guess not
Yep. Some SJW self insert writing. Look, imma preface this with I'm pretty liberal, and of course I dont agree with Nazi ideology. The fact that anyone needs to say that anymore, rather than it just being a given, is sad, and speaks volumes about just how retarded politics has gotten. But I'm saying it here lest anyone accuses me of being a nazi just because I think burning them alive for fun is "a bit much", and you just KNOW some @$$hole is literally going to do that, even despite my stating what my actual political leanings are first. Watch, someone's gonna do it anyway. It used to be kinda fun/funny to dehumanize WW2 Nazis, like in the old wolfenstein games. ... This sh@ts ridiculous now. For one thing, I think most people who actually give a sh@t about history nowadays, know intuitively that in the fog of war, there were good men and villains on both sides of that conflict. You just CANT lump old men and young boy conscripts in late war Germany Wehrmacht into the same category of "evil" as the concentration camp SS officers. Like, STOP portraying it in such black and white morality. It's childish. Shockingly, not every "nazi" was the same. And nowadays, the term nazi has gotten so intertwined with modern politics, you can't really just parody them in a game without it having some weird connotations now. You just KNOW whatever ret@rd wrote that arc was imagining trump voters/mysogonists/"anybody who doesnt chug the blue coolaide as hard as I do" as the "nazis" in this game, like a f@cking psychopath. You can literally FEEL the hatred dripping off the writer, its insane. And you know what, that COULD be a good thing if youre trying to write a convincing villain, it's something you could put towards good writing... But youre somehow supposed to be the good guy here thinking this way, getting sick enjoyment from setting a living human being on fire. I'm sorry, but I dont enjoy that, because I'm not LITERALLY A F@CKING PSYCHOPATH. What made the Nazis BAD is their inhumanity. How different from them are you really, if you think people should enjoy watching people, ANY kind of person, burn to death? And theres no, like, dark humor here, like you might see in the doom games, where gratuitous violence is supposed to be kind of a joke, it seriously comes off like the writer thinks this is the morally righteous thing to do. Sorry, but in actual combat, either kill people cleanly with bullets, or if you can afford to take prisoners when they surrender, do so, and hold them accountable for warcrimes legally. Anything else IS A WAR CRIME. I was in the military, even as some back end dude, never on the front line, they drill it into your head code of conduct in combat. That's what separates the "good guys" from the riff raff theyre fighting. Brand anyone a Nazi, and violence against them is okay, right? Right? Because of course Nazis are the worst thing in the world, right? Thats what that entire arc screams about the writer. And that kind of thing is why so many inappropriate n@zi comparisons has become just, NORMAL in modern politics. You just know some SJW, probably a chick given the character, got the opprotunity to write a character arc in a WW2 game, and immediately decided to self insert and do some horrific sh@t to a group of people that they think embodies everything they hate in modern politics. All the villains in this game come off like comically bad charicatures and strawmen. Theres so many amazing stories of heroism from WW2 that deserve to be told. I dont know why these gaming companies keep hiring f@cking SJW writers, and hand the reigns over to them to fictionalize it, fantasize it, politicize it, self insert the crap out of it, and literally make sh@t up, all while disregarding actual history. This is modern fiction that uses random WW2 set pieces. Otherwise, its just NOT a "WW2 game". And I'm not even sure WHY activision panders this f@cking hard to SJWs, given what an abusive company it actually is internally. I dunno, are they compensating for their culture of sexual assault within the company? Like, if you actually give a sh@t about equality, you'd be coming down hard on how awful the gaming industry is, instead of praising companies for their pandering media.
Even Daniels from COD WW2 got better character development, especially when he pointed at a German and said “That’s someone’s son.” Who tf wrote COD Vanguard
Such a phenomenal game. Honestly, they nailed the historical accuracy. All the weapons fit in with the locations that you're fighting in, and the characters, my goodness. None of them felt like action heros unlike the characters in all the other Call of Duty games. You have outdone yourselves Sledgehammer Games. -1/10
Fun fact, they actually OPENED their canopy to dive, they did not close it when they were entering the dive. This was because the different temperature air could fog up the canopy, then you wouldn't be able to see anything. Also only a single diget number of Panzer IV f2s (long barrel 75mm) took part in the battle of El Alamain. You should be fighting across open terrain with shermans and Valintines, clearing mines along the way, the big set piece battle should include many M13/40 and M14/41 Italian tanks (and many italian soldiers) alongside short barreled Panzer IVs and Panzer IIIs Edit: Also remembered that the Ship that he bombs explodes in one huge explosion, and if this is supposed to be Akagi, it should be slowly destroyed by fire not go up in a giant fireball.
I would like to add that at 7:40, the shermans showed mount the long 76mm gun. This tank wasn't introduced until early/mid 1944 in the western front as a better counter to german heavies and, according to wikipedia (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/76_mm_gun_M1#US_service), it wasn't employed in the pacific theater at all
I just want to point out that when the weapons suddenly become historically accurate in the cutscene that's the result of Blur Studios (one of the best animation studios) doing the cutscenes for this game and Activision not making them. Blur cares more about the campaign in cod than Activision does
So that's why the cut scene looked like one of those mobile add games Here's what we show you😇 And heres what we give you🤡 2 completely different things
@@randomperson6305 that's also why those look like that. They hire an animation studio to make the ads and it's an entirely separate entity than the game studio. All game companies do this for their cutscenes and trailers etc. Some are just better at making it representative of the game
With the sbd-dauntless, the plane that you where flying, the windows would fog up uncontrollably in a dive if the cockpit was closed, so pilots would open their canopy before a bombing run. Its pretty strange how vanguard did the reverse of that.
To add on they also have you dog fight A6M zero’s with a full bomb load still on your sbd and then precedes later on to show you match level flight speed to the a6m and the only thing to scare off the Japanese pilot is a Colt 45
So convenient that Activision forgot that the US Army was segregated in WW2. You can call it artistic license, but at this level it is just revisionism for the young ones. In contrast lady snipers in Stalingrad is extremely cliché… Painting by the numbers, created by uninspired developers and pushed by corporate assholes.
To be fair, that (“colored”) division was at that battle…just a whole year later. It did exist and worked alongside the British-Indian army in Burma/Myanmar.
Exactly bruh. They couldv done it so much better instead of whitewashing history and doing a disservice to all that served like this. Genuinely pathetic story telling. ion expect anything less from Activision, the company behind all those SA allegations

@@manwithballsonarm6775 I think they just don’t want to be too historically accurate, to have accurate weapons accurate battles, accurate soldier competence, etc. also they caved to SJWs by adding women to a ww2 game which they didn’t fight in, it’s not sexist, they literally did not fight in the war except as maybe artillery or snipers, usually not combat roles though, sorry sjws but history is history, and call of duty hasn’t made a historical game in a long long time.
For these kind of games and stuff people are prone to not see the weight of what really happened in WW2 or wars in general, and i say this because you would be surprised by the amount of people that learns history on games or movies

There were like seven as44s made. It’s ridiculous. The Soviets and Germans and everyone had sub machine guns that, at 30-50m ranges, no player would notice any difference.
They don't seem to understand that type of fuckery needs to be kept to the multiplayer. For some reason the guys making all the cutscenes got everything perfectly accurate, I'm not sure why they weren't responsible for the rest of it. It was probably one of the support devs like IW, Raven, Neversoft or even Treyarch behind those, which is why they aren't complete garbage.
I mean as annoying as it is from a historically accurate point of view, it makes much more sense from a gameplay point of view because it adds more content and personalization and so on. Plus it helps to give more leeway for story mission ideas and so on. It wouldn’t be as fun if there was less personalization and options. Part of what makes cod popular is the crest a class system they have always had.

Yeah, the lee enfield was the closest thing to accurate and they still fucked it up with a 5 round magazine. Like that one wasn't even hard to fix, you literally just change the variable to be 10 instead of 5!
I think they kept a single 5 round clip loaded while carrying, then added another clip when they expected imminent combat. I think you can see it happen in 1917.
Bit of both I think chaps, at least from the various things I've read/seen demo-d, and like was said about 1917. I've heard it was common to keep 5 loaded, fire one or two shots and (situation depending of course) then load another 5 and go with 7 or 8, alleviating the magazine spring problems

Let them be fat, old and undisciplined. We mush abolish military service. "Ah... yeah but the other thing is that they are homogenous. They are a single people, a single race. There is no ethnic chaos." Ok, then in whatever way, we must send them boats with blacks, Africans, Chinese. "But they have a lot of babies! 6 or 7 babies on average! They're happy to have large families!" Ok, from now on abortion, the pill. You have now defeated that island.
I was going to ask "where is the top half of the Enfield rear sight?" . . . . then I saw the red dots and thought "I'll just go shovel snow off the grass back onto the sidewalk". . . It makes more sense to me then this game.
That's not entirely wrong though, some armies that used Enfields did it to their sights for more sight picture; you can argue whether that's a good idea or not but people did do this. Problem with a lot of CoD weapons is the fact that developers probably never saw these guns irl so they have fuckall idea how they should look like. This game taught me so many things. Like that burning a german man you barely know alive simply for your amusement is perfectly acceptable and definitely not a war crime.
Nano did you know that the flamethrower is the worst army position in the Second World War because the enemies could shoot the gas tank and kill you easily, In addition, you must be very close to the enemy to be able to burn him (kill him), something very difficult knowing that there are more than 2,000 enemy soldiers in front of you.

I'm pretty sure they meant Sherman 76s, but the guns are too long and Sherman 76s didn't see service in the Pacific anyways lol EDIT: No it's worse, they're Sherman 90mms, of which one or two was made because the 90mm couldn't fit in the turret due to the recoil (see also, M36 Jackson, which was a Sherman chassis but a completely different turret)... Also, 90mm is so overkill against Japanese tanks it's insulting; irl the Sherman 75mm was already overkill and that's why the 76mm never saw use in the Pacific
10 years ago I didn't think games would still play the same way as they did back then. Sure we have better picture and performance but is that all that we can do? I'm so hungry for a truly great next gen experience
Dude, I actually can't believe this. Someone inside Activision (or EA for that matter) has to go and tell these people what shitty games they're making. Really... it's a shame
I mean, it’s been like this for over a decade, but often the problem was less about “historical accuracy” and “realistic guns”, and more about being effectively propaganda for the American military and the American worldview. Often times vilifying regions that have contained America’s enemies and somehow trying to paint the most powerful military in the world as the underdogs while also having the main characters pull out a super weapon every other mission and killing the enemies 50:1
This was actually painful to watch, it's really mind boggling how Activision stooped so low, literally ignoring the cries of its playerbase, to stop whatever they are doing and release some good ol' fashion CoD that everyone loves, just give us more old school modern warfare, hell just remaster the original call of duty where the Russians are attacking stalingrad with one guy holding a gun and the other is holding a 5 bullets for him, and use the gore from the old CoD titles, I GUARANTEE if they released that mission alone for 10$ with today's technology and actually putting effort into it, it will make more money than vanguard ever will
My favourite moments are when the Stukas (wich are dive bombers by the way) are casually gunning soldiers with their 3 machine guns, and not using the 250 kg bombs they have under each wings. Also they make their iconic noise while flying slowly above the ground. And they never dive-bomb also. So historically accurate they can't even make the most recognizable planes fly right.
@@theonionsystem7779 Well, I guess gunnig the ennemy instead of bombing them is way funnier for a psycho pilot, but in this particular plane and with the bombs still on, it's incredibly dumb.
@@leaverpool8059 It depends how much freedom the devs get. Idk if Activision actually pays a guy just to tell concept artists and modelers what weapons they are supposed to replicate, but if they do, this person needs to get fired.
@@valentinmitterbauer4196 believe me working in a big software company myself. We are highly specialized, Devs does not come with the designs for sure. Concept artist does but he is not the one deciding just applying, the target here is basically the management who decides. the fact that they name the head black guy "booker Washington" is hilariously transparent. its like they got together and wrote the story like 15 minutes before the deadline.
1:10 I laughed so hard when Nano using kamikaze on the Japanese. Also, gotta love that Activision turn MVP which means "most valuable player" into "most voted player".
One big problem I always had with every single CoD is that your super elite SAS NAVY SEAL DELTA FORCE CAPTAIN PRICE teammates cant hit shit in gameplay. This always destroyed my immersion so hard. The enemies are aimbot snipers with every weapon meanwhile out highly elite team of dumbass's cant hit a target unless they are directly 2 feet in front of them and that's if their lucky 😑
@@hirahihernandezmarini5613 Yeah I'm not gonna lie. When I play on veteran I purposely take cover behind whichever wall my plot armor teammates have. For example, I push Captain Price off the wall and out into the open since he cant die anyways so atleast he has a greater chance of hitting someone now and if an enemy gets close from his angle he can handle it, asshole move against the bots but it works like a charm 😭
I also hate how most friendly tanks in cod games are just there to be destroyed by an enemy tank, artillery fire,or an anti tank foot soldier just so Private Hero Protag and his squad of soldiers who cant hit shit unless enemies are at point blank range, deal with said tank, artillery piece,and/or anti tank foot soldier
@@ManyBadVids My idea is very realistic and I prefer this. Increase your friendly A.i. teammates accuracy far more than it is now, not perfect shots but not embarrassing like it is now either, they have to be valuable instead of fodder. Now your wondering "that would make the game too easy" but the next part is make it to where your "die-able" teammates dont respawn and come back from out of nowhere like they always do. This would be realistic asf, if you lose your elite squad, you will actually feel like you lost some good help. Depending on the scenario some missions can have it where when u hit a checkpoint like a squad of those who died are replaced. Yall remember "Charlie Dont Surf" mission in CoD4? Idk if you guys seen or remember but when your teammates died more didnt come back till you advanced to another checkpoint with Lt. Vasquez. I always felt like this was realistic compared to how our teammates unlimtedly die and have a random spawn generator going on forever but CoD hasn't used that system from that mission ever since I dont think. Either way this would make people rely on their teammates and feel like they are apart of an elite unit and actually feel like you lose something when they die. Since you and your guys are always outnumbered by enemies in CoD it's not OP because your teammates will definitely die unless you go out of your way to protect them.
If they want diversity, they could just explore other less exposed theatre of war. SE Asia, China, Manchuria, Burma. They could have Indian, Chinese, Malayan, or Thais characters. Heck, they could have made a campaign of a Thai soldier who was initially have to fight the Japanese, lost a lot of friends, then suddenly their King made peace with them, and now he have to fight alongside the Japanese (who he despised) against the British. Then he has to fight in Burma and China, but conflicts against their Japanese partners are mounting due to discrimination. Later he joined the Allied sponsored resistance against the Japanese, preparing an uprising against them. Voila! Accurate historical narrative with a new and diverse setting.
Nah, that's dumb ! because everyone knows that the Second "WORLD" War was only about the Americans, the japs, and the krauts ! And also communists, with maybe one or two tea-drinker somewhere. Can you imagine ? an indian soldier ? or a Chinese soldier ? Heck, why not even put Italian soldiers, or moroccan soldiers, or even worse ! Imagine a french soldier fighting the germans during the events of Dunkirk ! Or a Belgian aircraft pilot ! Everyone knows that none of those things ever existed, right ?
They don’t want diversity, they want to please woke garbage while selling shit to kids and tie them to their game with loot boxes (That have the same effect of a slot machine on brain)
@@bianconos3967 If they want to be "woke", they could have made a campaign about a Senegalese colonial soldier fighting for France in Europe. Watching the Midway mission hurt my head. As a WWII enthusiast I was excited to have the SBD Dauntless in the game, but the game really did it a disservice. The silver lining is I hope people get more interested in aviation history!
Might not want to watch a full playthrough of the Stalingrad mission, either. In the beginning, the city is getting strafed by Stukas with gun pods that were used for tank hunting in 1943 onward, and bombed by a bunch of He 177 Griefs, which most certainly didn't participate in the bombing of the city. Also, any T-34 you see in the game is an 85, which of course didn't see action until 1944. You see them in the beginning of the Stalingrad mission as well. The Soviet uniforms are also wrong in the Stalingrad mission. You see soldiers with shoulder boards that weren't added on to the uniforms until 1943. Oh, also, the Shermans in the jungle mission have 76mm guns, which weren't used in combat until July, 1944. Also, the 76mm gun wouldn't be necessary in the Pacific, due to Japanese tanks having paper-thin armor. I also don't recall seeing any "Zippo/Ronson" variants of the Shermans either, which you definitely would've seen in the Pacific.
it hurt to see no one even contest you as you pop out of no where over a carrier, exactly lined up,ready to go,and dive bomb it in minutes of the game starting
@@VexingWeeb Funnily enough, thats kinda how it happened in real life. The 2 groups of dive-bombers that simultaneously destroyed the first 3 Japanese carriers at midway came in by surprise and nearly uncontested because Japanese air defenses were focused on other dive bombing attacks away from the carriers. Obviously there were many things wrong with the way it was depicted but the “uncontested” part was pretty accurate.
@@Alderak1 True, it was a bad mix of the IJN's overconfidence, their decision to maintain radio silence and the pilot's sheer luck of landing a bomb spot on the deck as the planes were restocking on ammo and fuel. A gambit, that one.

The British produced theirs under license with a few modifications, such as the magazine size and the calibre(?) of the rounds.
It's a M4A3 76mm, the British didn't exclusively make anti-armor typed Shermans. Enemies using experimental weapons
yes
Well the Japanese probably did receive SOME equipment from Germany. I mean the Germans sent at least one tiger 1 to Japan! However the German equipment would likely see little to no combat on the Japanese front excluding extreme circumstances. On the other hand, guns like the AS 44 were not even put into service let alone used by combat units making it quite stupid that they were added especially when there is so many guns you could have used instead! So I would say the experimental prototypes is slightly more stupid!

You should be fighting across open terrain with shermans and Valintines, clearing mines along the way, the big set piece battle should include many M13/40 and M14/41 Italian tanks (and many italian soldiers) alongside short barreled Panzer IVs and Panzer IIIs
Edit: Also remembered that the Ship that he bombs explodes in one huge explosion, and if this is supposed to be Akagi, it should be slowly destroyed by fire not go up in a giant fireball.

@TheCosmuc wrench I think they only loaded five for speed and convienence, not really to preserve springs, if I recall correctly
yeah this tilted me the most while watching this and maybe the "war machine"
Bit of both I think chaps, at least from the various things I've read/seen demo-d, and like was said about 1917. I've heard it was common to keep 5 loaded, fire one or two shots and (situation depending of course) then load another 5 and go with 7 or 8, alleviating the magazine spring problems

Stop buying their crap and the problem is solved.
@@Berstalin I did. Hope more people follow up
I mean, it’s been like this for over a decade, but often the problem was less about “historical accuracy” and “realistic guns”, and more about being effectively propaganda for the American military and the American worldview. Often times vilifying regions that have contained America’s enemies and somehow trying to paint the most powerful military in the world as the underdogs while also having the main characters pull out a super weapon every other mission and killing the enemies 50:1
This was actually painful to watch, it's really mind boggling how Activision stooped so low, literally ignoring the cries of its playerbase, to stop whatever they are doing and release some good ol' fashion CoD that everyone loves, just give us more old school modern warfare, hell just remaster the original call of duty where the Russians are attacking stalingrad with one guy holding a gun and the other is holding a 5 bullets for him, and use the gore from the old CoD titles, I GUARANTEE if they released that mission alone for 10$ with today's technology and actually putting effort into it, it will make more money than vanguard ever will
you actually had to play for the guy with 5 rounds, yet this scene also isn't anyhow historically accurate
Oh they were listening to the cries, they just went against them hoping people would stop asking them for good games.
Call of duty 1 is the best single player i have ever played
@@SergeiSugaroverdoseShuykov But it is? Sometimes as much as 20% of Russians went into battle unarmed because of the shortage of arms
@@georgewhitworth9742 no one got forced to advance without a weapon that's bullcrap
2:46 THAT SCARED ME BUT ITS ALSO HILARIOUS 😂😂😂
My favourite moments are when the Stukas (wich are dive bombers by the way) are casually gunning soldiers with their 3 machine guns, and not using the 250 kg bombs they have under each wings. Also they make their iconic noise while flying slowly above the ground. And they never dive-bomb also.
So historically accurate they can't even make the most recognizable planes fly right.
What do you mean? Didn't they always just have a fun time flying low just for a fun time and not to bomb the enemy?
@@theonionsystem7779 Well, I guess gunnig the ennemy instead of bombing them is way funnier for a psycho pilot, but in this particular plane and with the bombs still on, it's incredibly dumb.
Devs could’ve just googled “What guns were used in what war” and got every gun they needed to add instead of weapons that never made it to service
Devs do not create the storyline, your target is the production team/script writers
Freedom like you talk about can be seen from Indies companies, and even there it's a only a possibility not a sure fact. You don't make AAA games by letting a bottom hierarchy worker decide.
@@leaverpool8059 The management wants faster weapon in order to show a fast paced gameplay to the shareholders.
That or just leave the prototype weapons in multiplayer
the fact that they name the head black guy "booker Washington" is hilariously transparent. its like they got together and wrote the story like 15 minutes before the deadline.
Pretty sure he was my running back in fantasy
"Before getting this game, I thought it was garbage. After I bought this game, I'm sure this is garbage."

The skill and usefulness of your comrades in COD never fails to astonish me.
Just remember that in BF4 friendly npcs do literally no damage
And if you're looking at them, if not, they won't do shit
Dude, just think of what would've happened if they actually did their job.
6:35 this is for making me try wasabi🤣🤣 I literally can't stop laughing
So glad this game exists,
It just helps show how good of a game World at War still is…
hell, this game makes call of duty ww2 actually good XD
@@benauld3838 To be honest I think CoD WW2 was a good game, I remember playing it and it was WAY better than this.
@@aclevername4517 oh yeah the game was great, I just didn't like all the stereotypical stuff put in the story
@RandomCommentor true, but, it wasn't just one or two, there were just alot.
It's good to take the piss out of as an example of the sheer self parodying nonsense mainstream games corporations vomit out.
I love how everything he says is just naturally comical lol he's effortlessly funny
Lol was going to say the same thing
Yep would be great
Nah, that's dumb ! because everyone knows that the Second "WORLD" War was only about the Americans, the japs, and the krauts !
Tell all about their sacrifice despite of discriminations and how mainstream media downplayed colonial soldiers' contribution to the war.
But I guess they don't have the courage to do that.
"Our marketing team has consulted with our focus groups, and they do not find that idea to be 'fun' at all. Therefore, we've opted to take a different direction..."

@@Alderak1 really , I never knew that
6:09 Lewis has multiple gunshots wounds on every limb of his body including head

Lowkey COD always had their characters turn into tissue paper in cutscenes
The best part is they added him as an Operator so he somehow survived that
@@tannerdodge6029 no they didn’t lmao. Lewis isn’t an operator my g.
12:59 that Bren gun has a drum mag, that feeds from the side.
The only drum mag the Bren gun had, that I know of, was a Lewis-style plate on top of the gun, not on the side.
As a Czech native, this pisses me, as we have developed the predecessor of this gun, the Vz 28 light machine gun. The British produced theirs under license with a few modifications, such as the magazine size and the calibre(?) of the rounds.
Gun history guy here; thanks for the catch! I learned something new today.
I know, right??? The Vz.28's and the Brens were *easily* the best LMG's of the war, and COD did THIS to it.
WHY ACTIVISION WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, made a typo. It's ZB vz 26, not 28.
Love how in the pacific mission, the Americans have the British Sherman Firefly which was brought into service in 1944.
It's a M4A3 76mm, the British didn't exclusively make anti-armor typed Shermans. Technically, the M10 and M36 are also Shermans, but they are modified and their turrets are open-topped (some have light hatches that can be closed, but it's still partly open) and were specifically used as Tank Destroyers.
Remember old Call of Duty, where you'd progress a few levels, be in late 1944 and THEN start to find Gewhers & STGs?
Also, 100% the Mauser broom handle pistol was the world's first machine pistol
Yep, and in the WaW campaign the FG42 was only in the battles where the fallschirmjagers were
