- Been a great bike. No issues and runs strong. Cranks right up always. Does between 68 and 73 on the GPS depending on the day. People who ride it say if feels like a real motorcycle with the extra power and plush suspension. I have more detailed videos on how to do everything I have done to it and where I got the upgrade parts.

What did you use to grind down the kickstand metal?
And did you leave the stock CDI on?
Thanks bud. Yes stock CDI. I tried the NCY CDI and it was worse. I want to try again now that I have a bunch of mods. Maybe I will do that tomorrow. I just ground it down with my harbour freight 4" angle grinder then hit it with spray paint.

Hey man. Another fl scooter man here. Whats the top speed uouve gotten with this setup? Im building a ruckus for a buddy that very similar and heard issues of stock clutches blowing apart. Love the vids and knowledge your bringing to the community 🤙🏽
Thanks bud. I live in Sebring. It does anywhere between 68 and 73 depending on the day.... you know how that is. So I call it 70. Never heard of the clutch blowing up. Would make for a good video tho. LOL

Did 74 one day and did another run to confirm and went 76. Currently building a 171 for a buddy so can't wait to see how a slightly built motor feels
@codygullett88 that's awesome. Is it a taotao or lance type bike? That's are way faster than a maddog. My wife's vespa has the GET fuel injected 150 so it moves out.
@@tedowen409 it's a metuckus I built. With a gorilla motor works 150cc gy6 motor. Has a taida t300 cam, stock head stock bore, ncy drive face, 846 belt, koso 115mm var, 11g sliders and a sspg clutch bell.. that's pretty much it mod wise. Besides rider mod 😉 I'm in Jax. We gta link and ride one day!

Do you know what parts are interchangeable between the generations? I have 2014 (I have no idea what gen that is if you do let me know) and would just use parts of a newer bike since they’re easier to find
It depends on what parts. Does it have 2 shocks or 1? If only one is there a mount for one on the right side frame? How many spokes does the front wheel have? I will prob know generation from those questions. What parts you looking to change?
@@tedowen409 2 shocks on the rear, 6 spoke on the front. I’m only going off photos I have since it’s buried in a shed. Just looking for stuff like exhaust and some body stuff (seat, battery cover, replacement screws for battery cover)
@lastresort1757 ok. That is a Gen 1. It could technically be a Gen 2 or 3, but people only speak in Gen 1, 4 and 5. All those front end and battery boxes pieces shoukd be the same. The only thing majorly different that makes problems is the rear hub and rear wheel spacing.
I’m thinking about getting this or the trike version. Currently have the x18 r6 clone from venom. But having issues and I need transportation. I have to get a 50cc but how easy would it be to put a 150cc on it?
My 50cc x18 blew so I basically tried to convert to a 150cc so I did custom motor mount a whole shabang. So I have all sorts of parts.
If you have a welder or someone that can weld the mounts then the 150 conversion is easy enough. The CDI, coil etc... all fits either bike so it will plug into the 50 harness. The 150 has mounts on top of engine where 50s are on bottom so that is the only issue and why you need to weld on mounts.
With your rusty Nuts and bolts Heat them till hot and drop in old oil
should black them of I've been successful with that if there steel Aliminum bolts wire wheel them and polish put I would use steel

That's an aliexpress special. If you search gy6 kick stand they come up by the thousands.

@michaelhatala way better. And it has a set screw to tighten it to the round key barrel part. It does not have that tab hanging down a bolt goes in... if you have the tab secured type.

@michaelhatala ok. Ya same as mine with the tab. The billet aluminum one is so much nicer and comes in all the colors.. except white.
What's was the top speed from 150cc to 171cc
I broke it down to JUST the the 20cc increase. . 2mph. Here is the video on it. Sounds lame but got way quicker. ..... like torque.

Hi Bud if the parts are not to big can't you pick up old electric oven dust them your self and all over projects it would pay of for you even do a few bits for mate's QUID PRO QUO

Key off kill switch off .power hooked up on battery to maddog bullshit an negative cable is mounted to frame an touch that cable to negative side of battery. Why does motor turn over
Did you change the starter relay? The little round thing with 2 posts on it inside the battery box by the CDI. If you reverse those 2 cables it might do that. Those are side specific
