The only comedian in the world
who did not have to say a word to
kill the audience , walking on the
stage was enough then you hear the roar of laughter , amazing .

As much as I am a great admirer of Foster Brooks, your statement is not quite true.
Another comedian, Tommy Cooper, could also walk on stage, not say a word and still have the crowd in fits of laughter...too.
Foster Brooks, however, had a unique talent of wordplay as a drunk, coupled with mannerisms and glances that was so, so funny, that even the great Don Rickles would laugh out loud. Now THAT is a special talent when you can reduce other ‘roasters’ to tears.

I crack up at all of them but especially this and the Sammy Davis and Don Rickles roasts. And it's funny how so many of these comedians were from Ohio-Dean Martin, Phyllis Diller, Jonathan Winters, Paul Lynde, Bob Hope(born in England, raised in Cleveland) And they were funny without feeling they had to cuss.

My favorite part of the Roast of Lucille Ball was that Desi Arnez was invited, but didn't show. He sent a letter that was pure poetry in his place, read during the event, more or less stating that would have to lie to stand up in front of a crowd and say bad things about her, and that he would "always love Lucy."

When I was a kid some time before I started school I used to watch Saturday morning cartoons and Saturday night British comedies.
It's getting on my nerves how my local PBS station (channel 13, of course) is no longer airing Doctor Who.
