    Whats the purpose of that check ball in the non service port ? Also, is there any internal filter inside the HPOP in the IPR relief passage ?

    • @AutomedicGarage
      @AutomedicGarage  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No internal filters or screens. I think the check ball let’s pressure bleed off when the engine shuts down. There’s a check valve in the drivers head that keeps oil from draining out of the reservoir so you don’t have a long start.

  • @packingbone1953
    @packingbone1953 ปีที่แล้ว

    What's your thought about removing the HPOP reservoir oil during oil changes or do you think it recirculated enough during regular operation?

    • @AutomedicGarage
      @AutomedicGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I used to do it all the time, it does remove an additional +/-16ozs of dirty oil but that’s a drop in the bucket compared to the nearly 4 gallons of oil in the system. It definitely doesn’t hurt to do it.

  • @RangerRecovery

      Yes you have a check ball behind the stud that’s on the plug. The stud keeps the checkball in place. If it’s not there or on the wrong side you’ll only build about 200 psi of high pressure oil.

Kinda like you can use a 17mm socket to take the injector plugs out of the rocker box in a 6.0 but the actual tool is a lot easier to use and the handle makes pushing it out easier and it only cost $15.

    Would these leaks/failed seals cause p1211,p1209?

    • @AutomedicGarage
      @AutomedicGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      P1211 could be a wide spectrum of things such as low/high icp or even low fuel pressure. If you have one of these leaks usually the only symptom is the leak itself which when they get that bad are blatantly obvious leaks. What is your truck doing?
