    Much improved over the old version. Articulation is much better and more consistent which is the most important aspect of the harpsichord technique in my opinion. Well done! I would really like to listen to your renditions of D. Scarlatti and J. K. F. Fischer pieces

      This means so much to me. I will try to post something every week.
      The issue I’m running into right now is the harpsichord in my room (different harpsichord) needs to be revoiced completely before I can use it for any music videos. Revoicing is a huge project in itself because it determines how each key sounds by shaping the piece of crow feather that plucks the strings. I think I will start a technician playlist and make some videos on my process of revoicing.
      I can’t believe I’ve never heard of this instrument until recently. It’s now my favorite instrument with accordion.
      What is your music background and how did you hear about harpsichord?

    Absolutely incredible prestation! Bravo, i know alot about this Baroque composer and as i listened to 1000 differents version of this concerto, ive to say that yours is unique. A question, is there added notes and baroque appogiatures in your version or its the original??

      oooooooooo, I'm so curious if you have any preference on which video was better xD (sound/visuals) i think the two videos are very different.
      I never expect to inspired this many people just from a few videos I edited on an iphone HAHA. I will work really hard to get some XLR mics and post some higher quality videos and new songs!!
      Thank you so much for your comment. Please feel free to ask me anything at anytime. :) Do you currently have a harpsichord? How long have you played harpsichord for? I just recently started for about a year. I grew up with piano but quit for 6-10 years. I love harpsichord more than piano now.

    Playing is super clean and that harpsichord is awesome, thanks for this. Also your audio in this version sounds better

    • @broquemusician
      @broquemusician  10 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      I experimented a lot with what angle sounds the best, the instrument overall all is much better, and I also used a tripod instead of a cameraman this time so the mic wasn’t blocked.
      The sound was from the (right) side facing iPhone that was filming.
      Lots of factors played into the better sound quality however, my final goals to achieve “perfect” sound quality is to eventually buy a $2000 XLR microphone that will capture the “exact” sound quality coming out of the instrument. Ideally you need two XLR microphones, one for the base and one for the treble side but even one will be magnitudes better than an iPhone mic.
      Also I should have played on 8’ or 8’8’ instead of 8’8’4’, this would have made the sound much more clear. I’m going to post a video about this very soon. Thank you so much for commenting!

      My personal recommendation: if you are a good swimmer, have a jump into the "Eisbach" behind the "Haus der Kunst" on a warm or hot summerday and just swim with all the others. Real fun. Eisbach videos on YT available. Than visit the Chinese Tower Beergarden for eating and drinking a beer. The best baroque music event in Munich of course is me practicing Bach fugues😆. Not really. Actually for this please look at the programms in the internet.

      This comment makes my day. I did make some intentional changes and I am so glad you notice them.
      My favorite changes are--- 3:42-3:55, slightly delaying the chords/ 4:51, holding that base note for as long as possible/ 4:55, ornamentation added.
      Please let me know if that sounds about right because if there was something else it may have been on accident xD.

    • @yourfavebrendan
      @yourfavebrendan 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@broquemusician Yes, those are some of them. Like some of the others here, I really enjoyed you adding the trills you did. I also like that it seems more intentional in general. You are clearly making conscious choices to highlight certain sounds and I love it. It's so fun to hear it your way and catch certain passages that I often don't pay as much attention to.

      I am the same person! I am glad are interested in the full version of 4 season. I arrange all of my accordion pieces. I completed the three movements for winter and 2 movements for summer. It is a tedious project since I am typing my own arrangement from the original orchestra manuscript. But I will finish it, especially with someone who is already interested xD (thank you). Do you have a preference on which instrument the 4 seasons video should be on?
      Solo Accordion
      Solo Harpsichord
      or a mix of both?
      Duets?
