I was looking at some data and it is showing that the number of Pakistani females watching and get addicted to porn is increasing at a higher rate than that of boys. This needs to end before it destroys future generations!

Yes of course one shouldn’t stay quiet when seeing something they disagree with or think its wrong however he didnt tell us to stay quiet. He said we should make our opinions known, especially to the directors and writers and have a debate about things we disagree with instead of just straight up banning the content which is unhealthy as it leaves no room for experimentation, because the writers dont want to try new things as if the public doesnt like it they would just ban it and cause huge loss for them. I am too disappointed on all these bans. #Churails is a web series for 18+, if someone wants to watch it, pay and watch. Its not available for everyone. Its personal choice there was no need for the ban.

I saw the trailer of Ek Jhooti Love Story, but this concept is already once shown in a bollywood movie, "mujhse frandship karogi". Though I'm 100% sure that the drama will be great as wriiten by umera ji. But the cusp of the story is already once shown.

Please don't compare dance at wedding to a dance where you are paid to 1,Wear clothes and do steps of director's choice 2, an advertisement that runs on drama, sports and news channels. The argument doesn't make sense because there's literally nothing in common. I can choose to not watch wedding dance with my family but during breaks while reading headlines? Nope not the same.
Child molestation and rape is worse worse. It's entirely different topic and a crime. And yes people should talk about such issues as much as this ban. But again NO comparison.
If so efficient pta is then why doesn't it ban the projects of Netflix, after all almost every other project on Netflix and other western streaming sites has nudity and explicit content , why not ban them or is it that pta doesn't have guts to do it
Ok so my problem is neither with Mehvish Hayat nor is my debate based on the 'this is not islamic' slogan. First of all, it was a TERRIBLE add. Secondly, my problem is with brands sexualising and objectifying women to sell their products. The add had no sar pair. If they would have shown a shaadi where the biscuits were being served with chai and girls were dancing it would have made sense. But showing a woman dance for no reason in a biscuit add is just very absurd. Also this is exactly why I am against item numbers as they serve no purpose to the plot of the film and are just there to sell the film. I am not judging Mehvish here. It was her choice to do this add or any item number for that matter and I respect that. But I just think content creators really need to rethink this ideology of using a woman's body to sell their product.
Asalamoalaikum I am not about banning stuff, but please our actors are all about looking good, dressing, makeup, dance etc. No content SAD. We have no Sania Saeed, Nadia Jameel, Shanaz Sheikh, Marina Khan type actresses who were about the acting not looks.

But I am confused about one thing, due to recent events you guys have often shown your opposition towards banning culture but I have never seen you guys discussing Geo's decision to ban Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar or Hum TV's decision to ban Firdous Jamal. Do you guys think it was a fair decision by Geo and Hum? I'll be grateful if you discuss this in one of your shows. I always look forward to your show and I have a great regard for your point of view, however different it may be from mine.
@@R-Ash28 ok my bad, Geo did not fire KRQ, but one thing is for sure, Geo didn't care about conduct, they nullified the contract based on strong public outcry against him. In case of Churails, it's the same case, public outcry against the series which is quite a democratic decision in my opinion. I'm not saying if it's right or wrong, but it is democratic.
My point was solely about banning culture. Whether the state-owned entities ban something or private entities ban something, both decisions encourage and lead to banning culture in country.
Mere des ka biscuit Gala' was done by Noor I guess 7-8 years ago by Noor Bukhari and it was so tasteful! The dance was so beautiful. The ad was so aesthetic and music's tune was also amazing, still miss it❤️

PEMRA didn't block Gala ad. Just look at their notification. PEMRA blocked motorway coverage as it was damaging the court case.
There are other rape cases constantly discussed how come those aren’t banned? Why the motorway case alone?
@@samraz6958 Because our media tries it's best to reach the victim. They were trying their best to take victim's/her family's perspective. In motorway case, the victim didn't want to come on TV or any other platform, didn't want to answer media's questions. Moreover many of the discussions on TV were also leading to the victim blaming, which could have been hurtful for her and her family.

This is the first time I am commenting on Haute Bites. I saw the first episode of Churails and was really disturbed by it. Amina, during the discussion was hesitant to say Hina Biyat's lines; as educated , decent men and women in any culture and society do not say such vulgar things. If you make such dialogues common then our children will be speaking such profanity with ease. Yes, everything happens in the world but we don't always put it on display. If the west is doing something or Indians are doing something then let them... indians are showing bedroom scenes and kissing but we don't want our actors doing that... there is a line of decency in words too.... Why are we bent upon degrading our women by giving them such roles? The roles actors play stick to them. The words they speak stick in our minds.... the more vulgar content we put on the internet the more normal and ok it gets for the youth to emulate and repeat.

Zee5 is not viewable in Usa. I watched with VPN and the one darkweb upload whole series from Pakistan. And I watched on that. Also youtube channel HUM, ARY & GEO are not available to view in USA. I used india or japan VPN to watch all content.
So people will use VPN to watch zee5 to watch content. And VPN is legal.
Main USA main dharalay se VPN use karti hon without any issue Kion k ye legal hai.

I was looking at the old pictures of my mum and her cousins in the 1970’s and they were all wearing sleeves kameez and bell bottoms in Karachi. Also, at that time it was very safe for the women to go out on their own. Even children could go the cinema without adults, as my mum said. Now with so many bans and restrictions it has become so unsafe for women and children.

I recently saw churails after seeing ur episode as it's available on Zee in India.
I absolutely loved it...and am surprised that this is Pakistani content and story....I am so used to just seeing that regular Pakistani drama and quite surprising to see this part of Pakistani society and that a liberal side exists. This is probably how we felt after seeing monsoon wedding that oh, now this feels real.
Although I didn't find anything objectionable or ban worthy. Absolutely loved the direction and story and how those women rose to fight the hypocrisy of society. People need to look beyond women smoking and drinking and focus on the men, the story, the subtle supression on women . In the end...raise ur boy's better...the onus of all society can't just be on women. It will always be a dysfunctional society.

I literally paused the vedio n watched the gala add. Desh rangila song se 'inspired' hai, pakistani music is so strong itna bura music aur add dekh kar bura laga. But u can't put ban on any art form!

The web series "Ayesha" and "Saat Mulaqatein" was amazing. Why can't we make such content rather than Churails. Imagine a 15 year old boy or girl watching something like Churails. What is a teenager gaining from it,?? Who said a woman has to speak profanity to be a feminist, who said a woman has to kill or detest a man to be a feminist?
True feminist dramas were made in the past like" Tapish" starring Rubina Ashraf (a strong woman with a voice; fighting with the ills of the society and in the end winning and not giving up) and Dhoop kinarey( a woman with a career, a right to choose a life partner, a loving father), Zard Dupaher starring Samia Mumtaz( a social worker fighting for others rights, a strong female character).
i am from pta tomorrow morning first thing i am going to do is to suggest my seniors to ban zee 5 straight away or atleast first screen out all the shows conerning pakistani artists from censor board then allow them to stream. thanks for the idea Hassan thats why i watch your show

Thanks Aqsa :) I can't find your other post but 2 things: one, you and I are allowed to have different opinions and interpretations of any teachings. In my personal opinion, unless someone is being harmed against their will, I would live and let live. I know you might disagree with that. But neither one of our opinions should be allowed to dominate the other. For me, banning a show like churails means we are not letting people speak their real stories. I know people who stuff like this has happened to, and it feels like we're telling them no, what happened to you is a shame, so you hide it, while we pretend to be living in some other idea of reality.
