Great video… I have the 72 c10 with a sbc 400…but I would like to upgrade to a ls… based on the video it doesn’t seem hard and can be done with basic tools…
Did you do a gas tank relocation or did you put a fuel pump in the tank behind the seat? What drive shaft did you use? I have a 72 long bed I’m trying todo a swap on. Been looking at engines on MP for 3 days now.
I did retain the factory behind the seat tank but went the easy route of in line filter, I used an aluminum drive shaft from a 88-97 Chevy 4x4 it's like 67" long
I'm working on my first Ls swap in my 03' Crown Vic Police Interceptor. I'm installing a Ls3/4L80. I found a block for $500 so that's the route I am taking. But this is costing quite a bit more. I've gor $1600 in the bottom end so far. I still need ro get rods and main bearings and a cam and the block is complete.
The block part will be the more exspensive part but everything else is the same. Harness and such. Bigger injectors and throttle body but pretty.much the same. Lol
Happy yr my friend!
Same to you sir
Thanks for sharing the walk around nice job can’t wait to see you give it to Pops ! Take care Sir !
Thanks for watching!

Yes it is not bad at all and can be done on a budget! We did everything with basic tools like anyone would do at home.
@@Wrenchingwithray definitely will be a backyard project ....long as it doesnt rain..lastly do you have ac and heat? Thanks again
@@MisterAdam-jj5jv heat is hooked up, did not do air yet because we may do a vintage air set up
Awesome video man thank you for sharing!
Always glad to help
Nice man! Looks good!
Thanks man
Dakota Digital has a speedo converter box.
I will check into it
I do love that truck. Your pops will enjoy it very much. I hated injection till I was kinda forced into it. Now screw carbs lol
@@GrandPitoVic same here

Awesome! Gas here is expensive so here we convert these old trucks to LPG alot. How many mpg on gas does this setup do?
Around 18-20

Ls3 is definitely a more expensive route but should be fun

@@GrandPitoVic true, sounds like you got a good deal on the block
what is the length of the driveshaft and you said you used a S10 driveshaft?
I will have to measure it again sorry I don't recall.
Thanks for the video ! What fuel set up are you running?
Using a Evil energy pump and filter 6an setup
Its mainly the labor cost of shop thats high..swapping a 350 to a 454 is cheap compared to ls swapping
I guess that's true, I do all my own work so I guess I don't think about it
Any swap in anything will be pricey if you pay someone to do it for you 🤷🏼
@@FZYT-qk7ts duh..
LS swaps destroy a lot of nice old cars and trucks
How is it destroyed lol
Letting them rot in yards does that, I don't see how getting them on the road is destroying them
