Excellent video, I just subscribed after watching a couple of them. I’m an old school mechanic planning to eventually do the LS swap in my 1966 El Camino.
Great Info maine appreciate this best video I've seen straight to the point quick questions if you don't mind is this the 4.8 Ls or the 5.3 Ls you have and what trans are you running and do you think I can run power steering/ AC with these engines on a 64 Impala thanks
What do you think about the cast exhaust manifolds on a lq9? I’m not looking for a rumble sound just something streetable to drive daily!!! Thanks for the videos
Like to know what wire you use to get power to the coils like it would be for a distributor thanks so far know one has ever shown that thanks in advance
Hey I just subscribed….im from Baton Rouge La we have a lot of Tahoes and trucks in really thinking about just buying one and keep it till I get me a an old school I want a Chevy Caprice 80’s model…..I mean they have a lot of them most are wrecked
I was curious if you could provide information about the brackets that connect to the frame and what brand or source those are. I'm working on my 1964 C10 right now and I have made them fit but they seem really high, too high for the transmission to clear the hump. Hoping you can help point me in the right direction before spending any more on bad parts. I tried search for the HEKA logo (at least that is what it looks like) but I can never see a clear enough image to tell exactly. Thanks!
when I click the link for that maf sensor it doesn't work please let me know what adapter I need for the maf sensor and also the wiring harness you suggest for the Camaro swap u did has a few complaints on eBay. its pinned for a 4l80 and when you try to use it on a 4l60 it gets stuck in 3rd. that may be why you Camaro transmssion was acting weird?
Couldn’t you simply use a GM fuel tank w/ pump & filter in-tank, or what we called “ship in a bottle” I would think you could use a modern tank assuming it would fit in your classic vehicle
Will the in-line fuel pump pull fuel from the tank if it’s not being gravity fed? I know they prefer to push but I’ve never used one and if I were to use my factory tank the feed comes from the top
Do you think stock accessories will fit in a 1960 C10? I have a 60 C10 body on a 1989 1500 frame that I bought on FB marketplace it has a 350 tbi. The dash gauges and gas tank are from the 1989, Will I have too much trouble with an LS swap?
Depends on if you want to run the factory lines, how old they are, etc. Also depends in the vehicle. Typically old school cars the fuel lines run on the passenger side and LS engines hook up on the driver side of the fuel rail. Usually easier to just run new line with how cheap it is.
What spark plugs are you using in your 4.8?i wanted to replace my ones, took one out to get exact same part number then found out that ac Delco not doing that part number anymore and wherever i look on the Internet, rock auto etc its showing completely different part Numbers 🤦♂️,my old one was 41-985 and apparently it's 41-110 now?im running 2004 4.8 i believe from Silverado (thats what ecu vin number saying anyway)got ls1 manifolds but not sure about injectors etc as i bought like that, thanks
Can anyone help? I got a 98 ls1 and a 03 4l60e trans trying to ls swap a 91 s10. Do I necessarily have to buy the $2k terminator Holley harness? Or are there cheaper
Thank you I’m in Dallas looking to do a ls swap I’m my 89 Camaro Iroc do you have a email I want to send it to you for pricing on labor charges.Thank You
These videos are what we all want. thanks for keeping it on the cheap.

This is a great series about the ls swaps. Thank you for all the wonderful information.
Thanks for watching
i soooo agree!
1st time LS swapper here(lq9 in a 68 bird), great video straight to the point.
You have really helped demystify the LS swap. I'm going to swap my C10 now. Keep the excellent content coming. 👌
Excellent straight to the point video. I love it
Great Video! Can you link the trans cooler you are using? It wasn’t included in the description
also thanks to you I have done my first ls swap good job man my car runs but just minor stuff to keep it form driving still
Have you did a swap for someone connecting an LS to a TH350? Or would you definitely recommend changing out the trans to a 4L60e?
We do th350 in derby cars. But I'd go 4l60e if you plan on highway driving. Gas mileage will be better. With overdrive and all
I like that Vega GT.....cool........Looks like original color too......
Thank you Sir for your knowledge & information.
Awesome video as straight to the point
1st video I've seen from you. Great video, bracket for throttle cable?
Thank you for all the great info… and links for the parts 👍🏾
Nice work. How can we met to do fj80 sawp?
Awesome video 💪
What about the transmission does it bolt up to a stock 350 transmission
I hear you can use any gm trans, but you have to oblong the holes In the flywheel
Great Info maine appreciate this best video I've seen straight to the point quick questions if you don't mind is this the 4.8 Ls or the 5.3 Ls you have and what trans are you running and do you think I can run power steering/ AC with these engines on a 64 Impala thanks
Coil packs what's your input on that great video by the way👍
What do you think about the cast exhaust manifolds on a lq9? I’m not looking for a rumble sound just something streetable to drive daily!!! Thanks for the videos
Nothing wrong with those. Just use whatever fits and gets you hooked up to an exhaust
Hello Bro, I just did an ls swap on my dads 79 TA, I was wondering which is the adaptor for the MAF sensor, the one that goes from 2 plugs to one?
Like to know what wire you use to get power to the coils like it would be for a distributor thanks so far know one has ever shown that thanks in advance

Sorry I’m new my dad just passed in left me his box Chevy but it has no engine. Can I put my automatic ls engine and transmission from my 2008 tahoe
That intake manifold looks gen 5 are they interchangeable
How did you do your power steering?
What dip stick did you use?
how about those header wraps?

What kind of coil pacs did you use?
Will the in-line fuel pump pull fuel from the tank if it’s not being gravity fed? I know they prefer to push but I’ve never used one and if I were to use my factory tank the feed comes from the top
For an external fuel pump it needs to be below the tank.
What part of TX you live in?
I have a question if I have a c4 corvette with a tune port injection system do I still need to upgrade the fuel system?
Do you think stock accessories will fit in a 1960 C10? I have a 60 C10 body on a 1989 1500 frame that I bought on FB marketplace it has a 350 tbi. The dash gauges and gas tank are from the 1989, Will I have too much trouble with an LS swap?
I found one that has a 147,000 miles for 800$ what's lifespan on a 5.3
How much u charge to swap a 86 caprice?
So my question is with the inline pump do you have to run new lines also or use the current ones
Depends on if you want to run the factory lines, how old they are, etc. Also depends in the vehicle. Typically old school cars the fuel lines run on the passenger side and LS engines hook up on the driver side of the fuel rail. Usually easier to just run new line with how cheap it is.
Quick question boss have you used the adapter to use the 4l80
Works great
