And-- come to think of it, this way it would also be able to introduce a new audience to the LittleBIGPlanet series.
This is the best way. Remaster the games for PS5 (this is coming from someone who can’t even afford a ps5) and new children will jump on the lbp train while the rest of us gen z-millennial fans will come running back as well
I just hope if it is LBP4 it isn't marketed as a Metaverse. I know in some aspects LBP technically was a metaverse, since metaverse is just renaming MMO-like games, but it would be hard to mantain a decent reputation online with that tag on it
the problem is, people make things to see something new and have everyone make original games but all people wanna do is remake their favorite games the way they wanted, its like hollywood remaking movies and having people ask why nothing new ever comes out, now that everyone has a chance to create the next best thing, they just plagiarize the last thing they remember lol, talk about games and next thing you know your only talking about what the investors want to make money, i mean like cmon the biggest most glitchest company atleast has more hope than the next big thing now a days because no one wants to put in the man hours to make it, everyone just wants someone else to do it because 4 hrs sculpting takes too long....and dont tell me you need a team excuses like that just make it so the next game we all like is because the news tells us its good
i would genuinely cry if MM came back for lbp and made an lbp4, and if they do come back into making lbp games i hope they keep the whole creativity factor of lbp1, 2, and 3. if they do just decide to scrap the whole UGC part of lbp when/if they make lbp4 i probably wouldn't play it much or at all. at this point i just want something that even slightly resembles lbp 1 and/or 2.
LBP 4 would be the second best thing after Dreams, I was an active LBP 2/3 creator and ported several LBP creations over to Dreams including Silent Hills, which was originally made in LBP 3 eight years ago. Would love to make things in LBP 4 as well.
@@DrJones20 Dreams is impressive but it lacks the charm and passion LBP did, which is why I feel many would prefer a 4th LittleBigPlanet. It's multiplayer service, style, gimmicks, story mode, and overall charm is what kept the series' high sales for so long, and why Dreams did so poorly -- It lacked all of those things and replaced it with a more extensive create mode. Dreams would've been way better as a PC game engine then it would've done as a console game.
@@retsu9347 Charm perhaps, but not passion. I've spent a lot of time creating in Dreams. From a creator's perspective Dreams is far superior to LBP, but I guess from a casual player's perspective it's different.
@DrJones20 as a creator and a player, littlebigplanet had a lot more charm in both aspects for me. it's what taught me how to code, and everything was simple enough to where I could understand it so easily. dreams is to littlebigplanet to like what terraria is to minecraft, that's how I feel about it
If I'll be honest I'm a little skeptical that MMs next game because of all the higher up people leaving the company. Including the list you also had Abbie Heppie, the director of live service, leaving a week or so before the announcement, edhargrave announcing he's leaving for another studio and then recently senior producer Suzy Wallace also left for another studio. I don't think all them would leave if the next game had a big potential. Either way I still hope it's going to be a good and successful game because otherwise I think MM would have to shutdown. My guess is that we'll learn more about the game if they start hiring more people again. I'm pretty sure they started development mid Dreams though because of the mass hiring they did in 2021 and from a hint that Marcos Healey had on his profile for a while (a ??? next to MMs games). It'd also make sense because it didn't feel like they were giving Dreams its all.
I have high hopes for LBP4 and im down for it, They'd be filthy rich if they did add LBP4 along with a 3d mode too and party games and hopefully a hub along with negativitrons's return from LBP2 but they'd do a sackboy's big adventure 2 since Its their newest sequel and it was a success! I just really want a community level option for it so we can enjoy 3d versions of our beloved games and hopefully a 2d option so we can kick back to the older types of games with better scripting and programming for content creators.
It's absurd to speculate that the next Media Molecule game would not feature creative aspects at all. For the past decade and a half, they've created an empire out of the limitless creativity of user-generated content. LittleBigPlanet 4 without any creative features would be development suicide, just to say the least.
Me personally, if MM or Sumo Digital made LBP4, I would be more than happy to see such thing, I think it would be... amazing. We'll have to dream about that till then.
Live service might be bad for a little big planet game. I would hate having limited time cosmetics and materials, stickers etc. That would limit creation so much. I already am pissed alot.of the dlc packs are off sale
It's missing that little nefarious something that gets people to log in every day and consistently spend money. The first three games were built as traditional games GAAS is a terrible science these days
@@UglySofaGaming True they were complete packages on release and I hope the next LittleBigPlanet follows suit. If Media Molecule develops the next game I'm not that concerned about it considering Dreams was planned to have 10 years of support and wasn't predatory in the slightest. Although if the player base was as big as LittleBigPlanet it might've been a different story.
If they do go back to LittleBigPlanet it would be a good time to cut the cord with that content, eventually it just limits what they can do moving forward. But I also wish there was a better format to revisit that stuff than LBP3
Scary thought but what if they’re working on a third party IP for a brand. It would explain why so many key people left the company… but for now I will keep coping and telling myself they just didn’t wanna work on LBP 4
Gosh, ALL of the LBP games are so nostalgic for me. Like, I only ever visit the games a a couple times every year, yet it fills me with so much dread to think about the possibility of it shutting down in the next few years. I can't possibly explain how much of an impact these games made on my childhood. LBP was my go-to game after school and on the weekends. Sure, my moon was filled with garbage "levels", but oh boy, I had so much fun creating those. I feel that LBP honestly partly shaped who I am as a person. It means that much to me. Some of my earliest online friends were made on LBP. I remember in LBP3, I BEGGED my parents to play that one 4-player level in Manglewood with me and my brother. That's a memory I won't forget anytime soon. The games (LBP3) may be filled with many bugs and certainly aren't perfect, I'm so happy they're apart of my life. If there ever was a LBP4, YOU BETTER BELEIVE I"M GETTING MY HANDS ON IT!!!!! God, I'm praying that there will be one. I think many people like me would play it simply from the nostalgia and good memories from the old games. Granted, the LBP3 incident may stop some players from returning, but I think most of us are willing to give them another chance.
If MM is suffering financially, or can't afford to take another big risk like Dreams. Sony would swap them with Sumo in a heartbeat after the disaster of Sackboy's big adventure.
I hope media molecules next game is like dreams but i doubt it. I wish sony could see there is more to dreams dreams is awesome. There is nothing out there like dreams.
The live service ad is enough evidence that the new game IS indeed LittleBIGPlanet 4. Think about it, the big pink guy, Mr. Molecule, was a sticker in the first LBP game, so there is still lots of proof to back up LBP 4's speculation.
So here’s my thoughts for what Mm can do for an LBP4. This would greatly flip the game and make it feel new again also. Also, this is kinda copying a system from another game but just hear me out. I really liked super paper Mario bros on the Wii, where you need to switch from 2D to 3D to get through levels (if you don’t know what I’m talking about just look it up). It was magical and I’m upset they never continued the idea, but surprisingly this would work absolutely amazingly in the LBP world. Needing to switch from 2D to 3D would add more layers literally in the game to create 2D and 3D games at the exact same time. Tell me what you think
this video has thrown me into a massive nostalgia attack. for some reason, for a moment there i felt like i was 10 years old again watching an episode of "movies, games and videos". don,t know why, but thanks for that, it felt great!
if they do make another lbp game i hope it’s not like sackboy but rather a proper sequel or remake of the original ones. that would single-handedly make my ps5 not a waste of money
my opinion: i think they thought "what if we made little big planet but 3d and a wider audience than kids. make the target audience WIDE" BUT in doing this they basically just made unreal engine on Playstation without all the charm of little big planet. most people didnt play lbp for creating. thats where they went wrong although its sandbox features are a staple and without it it wouldnt be good. but mostly. the wider public. people played just to mess around and have a laugh
(SORRY ABOUT MY ENGLISH ) As a person who loves little big planet I would LOVE!! to see more of little big planet ! to be fair i would like to see Media Molecule add all of the little big planet games into one! i feel like if the players where able to go back in time kina like a LBP time capsule would be AMAZING!! I am 19 about to be 20 and honesty as a person who had played every last little big planet game that was ever made I would love to be able to go back to play all of the games again. though it hurts my heart to see that isin't possible without buying a whole new system! i would love to see more of LBP live on like so many other games have! i wanna see more of our beloved little sack boy! and due to the game STILL BEING YOUNG is crazy! LBP is 15 Years old and honesty it needs to live on for so much longer i just cannot bare to see this wunnerful game go up in smoke! i hope to see the game live on for so much longer and if there is a LBP 4 then lets hope it has everything than anything else before!! i hope to see the game live on for as long as i am around lol!! but yes as a long time player of LBP 1 2 3 and karting I would like to see the owners of LBP make all of the games into one FOLDER or at least a way to get everything we would ever need. i hope to see all of the games hit one system soon. i miss the old levels and the colorful characters that they created. kina start from the beginning yakow this game helped me though so much as a kid! and it still means the world to me and i hope that they continue to do more. and yes Dreams was great! but for me nothing beats good old sackboy.
🦆Whatever they have planned, it's hard to get hyped after they have proven how willingly they will abandon projects. I expect something safe and generic next. *edited for duck addition purposes 😂
Honestly I really don’t want LittleBigPlanet 4. Every time they tried to make a new entry into the series after LBP2 it didn’t turn out well and/or didn’t meet the expectations. Instead of further ruining the series I want MediaMolecule to remaster LBP 1 and 2 and release them onto PS4 and PS5 with online mode back so the new generation can experience this magical world and the rest of us can relive our childhoods!
@@bamban_garcia5562 that can be applied to any new games coming out. Sony is trying to get everyone to upgrade to the PS5 since it’s the next generation and it’s hardware is what most developers are basing their games on. PS4 is simply not as powerful as PS5 and devs are taking advantage of that. The downside of course, most new games will not get a PS4 release. But for an LBP remaster since the game is quite old and could run on a ps3 I’m sure it would get a PS4 release. Maybe just not a physical one.
@@Dizpicobal No need to remaster both LBP1 & 2, just put them both in the same game and call it LBP Legacy/Remastered/Retold or some other buzz name like that
LBP Karting was developed by United Front Games, LBP PSVita was developed by Tarsier and LBP3 was developed by Sumo Digital. Media Molecule hasn't worked on an LBP game since LBP2. Not entirely sure what you mean. Unless you count Dreams an LBP game.
Im just gonna say it: Media Molecule shouldve made more games and animations for dreams on a more constant basis; especially with the VR update. That's not only a good reason for people to continue playing, but it also gives them to see more stuff they can utilize for their own games. They needed a seperate team to do this daily while the rest worked on their next main title.
When Little Big Planet sequels come out, they have to revolutionize the creation aspect. What do they do with the tools of LBP, that LBP3 didn't? Heck, what do they do with the tools of LBP, that Dreams didn't? There is no where to go from LBP3. I actually think that's why SABA happened. Sony knocked on Sumo's door and said, "Can you make another LBP game?", and Sumo said, "We literally added everything to LBP3 that we could think of. There's no room left for improvement." And Sony said, "...uhhh what if you just forget about create mode?" Whatever Mm did with LBP4, would just be a step down from Dreams. So I think its basically impossible that LBP4 happens right now. They are making another regular game. Like Tearaway. Which, I am actually pretty excited for. I was really blown away by Art's Dream, and A Bat's Tale. Maybe though, LBP4 could still happen one day. But the world needs more time to forget about Dreams. Maybe after Mm's next game, then they will be ready to return to LBP, and so will the world.
This was a solid video essay on the matter. Definitely going to buy a LittleBigPlanet 4/PS5 Reboot of the LBP Series. The 1st entry was so darn amazing for me as a child. Memories I cherish.
I doubt it will be a new LBP game, but I'd love it if it was. Only if it could play the old LBP games too though, which I don't think would necessarily hold it back because they made a lot of changes to LBP 2 from LBP 1 - at least for a creators perspective (being able to use logic gates was a huge step forwards). I know some people complained that the platforming still felt loose, but you could alter that in create mode and if it was set differently by default then there wouldn't be so much of the floatiness (is that even a real word? lol). Tbh I didn't mind that though especially since none of the games I made were platformers, and I still have many I'd love to be able to somehow publish! But if they make something new that's not LBP/Dreams related then they can go and 🦆themselves (sorry, I had to do it :P).
Hot take: I don't think Mm moving away from Play Create Share (at least temporarily) is a bad idea, I love creative games, they are my favorite type of games, but I feel Mm should make a few games where you aren't creating levels, something like Tearaway. Idk tho.
I think anyone can make a normal game and Mm is very unique in what it can do in that play crate share genre. But Dreams shows us either they don't know how or Playstation was prepared to give them the support they needed to make that idea marketable so I just don't know anymore. I'd love to know what's been going on behind the scenes the last 5 years because from the outside it just looks like a massive mess
I think having create mode it isnt a bad thing, but dont make it the focus of the entire game. Thats how LBP games were compared to Dreams. If you didnt wanted to create or play online levels you still had an excellent campaign in the base game to play and enjoy.
@@sebastiankulcheDreams had a campaign at launch, and they made a lot more MM content as time went on. I think the lack of multiplayer was the biggest thing holding Dreams back. As bad as LBP3 was with bugs, it still went on strong up until the servers went down last year, and as far as know there’s a decent amount of activity even now (The context contests by Mark and Victini for instance)
@@FlamesTheCyndaquil Ps4 and 5 are still online, but unfortunately you can’t play some of the older levels since they don’t seem to be able to load. In my case there’s entire creators I can’t play levels from since they either don’t show up or fail to load.
🦆 I've got a feeling it could be LBP4 too, but whatever they do hopefully it's focused on creating rather just just playing a full game or even both. As feel next-gen doesn't have anything creative, and hopefully it will last more than 3 years 😂
Good man Michael 🦆 when you know you know. I've got to be honest if there's no create function I'm not sure I'll have a lot of interest in whatevers next!
@Ugly Sofa Gaming Totally agree with you, regarding the creation function. Also just thought of an idea for you..Since the online function is going to disabled soonish. . I honestly kind of want a lbp trilogy so the originals can be played on ps5 or ps 4 i think it would be great add better multiplayer and a slightly improved lbp editor which would contain all levels uploaded from lbp 1, 2, and 3
I don't think it would be a good idea for them to continue using those aging servers from lbp1-3. It would be better for them to just make a new one so that the new trilogy game has less security vulnerabilities, and a better code foundation.
🦆Never played any of the little big planet games but I love making stuff in game maker type games. Seems like they're moving away from game maker type games based on that website redesign. I'm still sore to have gotten into Dreams right as MM stops updating it.

Well, Tearaway was more traditional and it was cool. But I will never, NEVER forget the days in LBP2 when I watched a short video series about a cleaner superhero Linda, known as Supersiivooja (Supercleaner in English) I revisited LBP 3 last year, (subscribed PS Plus Extra for a month) and first I revisited all nostalgic (mostly Finnish) community levels I played when I was younger.
Either way, it sucks for Dreams. They had a good plan for it and I was looking forward to seeing how it evolved. Now that's dead in the water and it all seems like a big waste of time that they even made Dreams in the first place. I'm happy it still exists but I'm disappointed in MM, even though it probably wasn't their idea.
@@JayCee-tp2gv it's really hard. I'm glad Dreams exists if it didn't a ton of awesome games wouldn't exist - haters be damned. I guess Mm wouldn't consider it a waste because of that and the people who made it into the industry - but it could have been so much more.
If we can have one huge lbp game online with all this new stuff from like sacboy a big adventure and have 2d lbp one vibes then i would never ever play another game and spend all my money and time on that
They'll be another maker to come Around on the ps4 and 5. PlayStation had these things before Like fighter maker and RPG maker etc. only time will tell when we will get Another one.
honestly i am fine with how far lbp developed, it was great in exploration mode and alright in story mode. what was a shame though was how abruptly it ended, with the fiasco that was lbp 3 and how the servers had to shut down. for me, it'd be a dream if the triology got remastered for ps4 and 5 and hopefully vita if it could be adapted. thing is the lbp community is slowly fading and sony would need to see bigger request for this to get to the job. so all i can do is pray i guess
The best games i like are dreams and Yakuza and persona strikers and jump force because its fun and theirs something about the battle system you can make better too but those ideas stay with me
Honestly. I think MM should keep branching out with the sandbox mindset but keep it grounded towards the energy LBP had. I LOVE Dreams dont get me wrong but I could never keep myself grounded towards it like I could with LBP and even Teraway. I definitely think I would love love love a Teraway sequel if possible or very much plausible and similar to LBP and Teraway. I def think that MM is pretty sick of being labeled as the "company that makes gamers make games for them" when like . Dreams in itself had a whole story mode to it and they literally had live streams making games w their own engine. but a lot of majority of ppl actively ignored it and sees MM as a lazy company for it? which always bothered me honestly. its like actively ignoring they /made/ the engine whilst using the engine to create a game within it. I really hope they dont stray away from "Play Create Share" mindset since it really, really inspired me when i was little to become an artist. I def think they could somehow work with this approach again whilst being seen as creators of games.. honestly I thought Dreams' story mode was more than enough to show ppl they actively make games within their game but iirc a lot of ppl overlooked it becos "haha homer simpson 3d model" instead yk... idk. my thoughts r all over but I really think MM can strive somehow,. like I really believe that they can do it. Teraway, whilst an underrated gem, really was a compelling story and super super fun. I really wished people could turn their heads into that direction and even Dreams' storymode and understand MM isnt just. "make games for us" they just want to show you what u can do and what ur capable of. they want sandboxes to be more than sandboxes. idk,
It isn't though unless you want sumo to make 4 which I get is unlikely but it's clear that Sony still cares about LBP and their other ips and makes you wonder if they're trying to bring it back
As great LBP was in its heyday Dreams has shown that they can take the user generated content to the next level. I think that would be corporate suicide to backtrack to a 2-D exclusive user generated content platform. The thing is people could still create lbp like games within Dreams. So why would they limit themselves to a 2-D only style format. I hope Mm sells Dreams to someone who sees it’s true potential and ports it over to PC with multiplayer and increased thermo with optimization gadgets that allow for massive game environments. It is a bull crap response to say it is hard to pave the continual future development of Dreams. I’m pretty sure Sony wanted Dreams to fail due to the potential copyright lawsuits Dreams is liable to have. Also giving the power of game development to the gamers gives gamers more control over what games they want to play. Why spend $70 on a trAAAsh game when you can take a cool original idea of a game and play it “free” (other than the $20 Dreams price). Sony makes money on software and not on their hardware. Dreams or at least the concept of Dreams could potentially hurt Sony’s AAA sales. I am a Sony fan. But them letting Dreams die is the biggest mistake Sony has ever made.
I don't think you guys should be getting your hopes up. They literally said on their support website that they are no longer are working on LBP. I think SAGA should have shown that LBP is now under sumo digital's control now. If it's a new UGC game then it would definitely not be a new LBP from Mm.
classic UGC games like Dreams, SMM, and LBP unfortunately seem to not really be viable in the current gaming market. If I were to have a hand in a new LBP game, I'd for sure make it a 'reboot' in terms of what objects are in the Tools Bag, cleaning up unnecessary clutter that has come along throughout the series and refining what's left, making the perfect blend of limitation from the old games and freedom LBP3 provided
This feels like the end of Mm. Think about it. The dreams and LBP community Don't trust Mm after just killing off support (although lbp wasn't as harsh) And the dreams community feel lied to, and upset over the poor handeling of dreams. Chances are that if they ever make a new UGC game, they're old fans won't play in fear of disappointment, And new ones will get heartbroken just like the other two. Unless Mm doesn't make a dreams 2, or LBP4. I'm out.
2:27 idk but the way that man is holding the controller... It doesn't look like someone that play videogames or even care about videogames and the comunity
I think they scalded a big portion of the Dreams audience beyond repair but the numbers are so low now it might not matter if their aim is to capture a big audience again. But it doesn't look great for sure
@Skeptic in Japan What are you talking about dreams is complicated I Don't want a degree before making something no thanks give people what they want and listen for once Little Big Planet Will sell I know it will and a complicated game Won't A dreams like game will not Sell and that's the truth it'll only sell less units because people don't want a complicated editor
@@kingemerald4622 It won't have legs. Look how quickly they canned LBP3, then Dreams... Their games don't have staying power. I'm done with their company.
I grew up playing and creating in LBP1/2, but man I HATED dreams!! (Hot take I know) I had over 80 hours in creating alone and I still barely know how to do anything. It was just WAAAYYY too complicated for my tastes, and with the tiny community, I felt it was just a total waste of time LBP3 was good, but a little too glitchy. Getting a solid LBP4 would be an amazing return to form and I’d love it. A PC port would do wonders!
But surprisingly the demand is there you know what their like with their ip they want to milk it as much as possible so don't be surprised if it does happen all because Sony wants to make money it's very WB in a way if you have a property that you want to take advantage of then you do it and if it works for them then nobody will care there are so many franchises that they don't want to let go and it's obvious
Mm chose to move onto other projects. PlayStation owns the LBP IP and they licensed it to Sumo. I heard the other day Sumo Digitals community manager confirmed they were no longer working on LBP anymore so we'll see 👀
No. Most of the creators of LittleBigPlanet have left the studio over time and most of the people there now resent LBP because it was so much more successful than Dreams. That's why people who came from the LBP community to Dreams were treated like interlopers. We're not going to get anything from them with a create mode again after the catastrophic failure that was Dreams.. A Sackboy sequel from Sumo would be more likely, as they can actually get a game done and are technically proficient. MM is probably just working on some artsy fartsy adventure game that will review well and sell poorly.
Maybe they go back to LBP because of how badly dreams burnt their budget and resources because what's the point of making a new game if it's just going to be another huge financial risk
@@UglySofaGaming Multiplayer platforming game. They have hired a lot of Multiplayer developers so makes sense to use them, and Mm are platforming game people at heart. Maybe something to rival Fall Guys. Might satisfy the LBP fans who were into the levels rather than the create side.

LBP 4 would be the second best thing after Dreams, I was an active LBP 2/3 creator and ported several LBP creations over to Dreams including Silent Hills, which was originally made in LBP 3 eight years ago. Would love to make things in LBP 4 as well.
1st best thing
@@dock7777 No that is Dreams imo.
I will just keep playing dreams for as long as the server is still going.
LittleBIGPlanet did have a version of the Impys called the Sackies, which was an event exclusively for the second entry in the series.
You can beg as much as you want its never going to happen
Is LBP 1-3 not essentially a live service game? All run on the same engine and have backwards compatibility with user generated content and the DLCs.
LBP4: All story levels from 1,2,3 and all community levels from 1,2,3.
Also, has a completely new story, and all new create tools.
If it is lbp4 I hope it does take a while and doesn't get rushed like lbp3
i agree so much
LBP3 had so much lost potential by looking at earlier versions like the alpha
I honestly wish it is but I have a feeling if it is most likely won't have 3 and before stuff carry over.
🦆If lbp 4 by MM becomes a thing It would be the only game im willing to pay any price for, hell I'd even buy a ps5 if it was an exclusive
🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆 The LBP mania is still real 🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆
@@UglySofaGaming yes
With Alex and Kareem gone and Healy I dont see Media Molecule as that team we once loved
If MM is suffering financially, or can't afford to take another big risk like Dreams. Sony would swap them with Sumo in a heartbeat after the disaster of Sackboy's big adventure.
But sumo digital made SABA not Media molecule
Sumo digital made LBP3 and SABA, that's why they're both bad.
@@EthanTheGamer77 That's what I meant. Because big adventure was not a comerical success, that is why Sony would want MM to take over the IP.
@@Brodc SABA wasn’t even bad. It just didn’t sell well
Sony own media molecule so they shouldn't be suffering financially.
That could explain some of the long term MM people moving on. If they were wanting to get away from LBP that would make sense.
Funny knowing LBP is trending again
I think they'll essentially relaunch dreams as littlebigplanet.
this video has thrown me into a massive nostalgia attack. for some reason, for a moment there i felt like i was 10 years old again watching an episode of "movies, games and videos". don,t know why, but thanks for that, it felt great!
I FELT THE SAME ... GREAT COMMENT
imagine Little Big Planet VR
The game just need to focus online multiplayer instead of a single player creative mode
I agree
the floundering of the potential of dreams made me loose any enthusiasm for whats next from them sadly
if they do make another lbp game i hope it’s not like sackboy but rather a proper sequel or remake of the original ones. that would single-handedly make my ps5 not a waste of money
my opinion: i think they thought "what if we made little big planet but 3d and a wider audience than kids. make the target audience WIDE"
BUT in doing this they basically just made unreal engine on Playstation without all the charm of little big planet. most people didnt play lbp for creating. thats where they went wrong
although its sandbox features are a staple and without it it wouldnt be good. but mostly. the wider public. people played just to mess around and have a laugh
If Kareem has left, I am a little worried about what is happening at MM.
(SORRY ABOUT MY ENGLISH )
As a person who loves little big planet I would LOVE!! to see more of little big planet ! to be fair i would like to see Media Molecule add all of the little big planet games into one! i feel like if the players where able to go back in time kina like a LBP time capsule would be AMAZING!!
Mm got ZOGGED 😭😭😭
Rip. Old Mm will always live on in my memories.
🦆Whatever they have planned, it's hard to get hyped after they have proven how willingly they will abandon projects.
I expect something safe and generic next.

tbf they know that Little Big Planet makes money so it would be fiscally smart for them to make an LBP4.
id be lying if i said i wasnt looking forward to a potential lbp4 but i dont wanna be too high on that hopium

Any remaster would be PlayStation 5 only since last gen has been discontinued by SIE
@@Dizpicobal No need to remaster both LBP1 & 2, just put them both in the same game and call it LBP Legacy/Remastered/Retold or some other buzz name like that
This
LBP Karting was developed by United Front Games, LBP PSVita was developed by Tarsier and LBP3 was developed by Sumo Digital. Media Molecule hasn't worked on an LBP game since LBP2. Not entirely sure what you mean. Unless you count Dreams an LBP game.
Im just gonna say it:
Media Molecule shouldve made more games and animations for dreams on a more constant basis; especially with the VR update.
There's no room left for improvement." And Sony said, "...uhhh what if you just forget about create mode?"
Whatever Mm did with LBP4, would just be a step down from Dreams.
Im hoping and PRAAAYYYINNNG they take their time developing!!! I dont want another rushed disaster.
This was a solid video essay on the matter. Definitely going to buy a LittleBigPlanet 4/PS5 Reboot of the LBP Series. The 1st entry was so darn amazing for me as a child. Memories I cherish.
I want to relive the hype of LBP1 and 2, 3 just wasn’t the same
I am hopeful for a future where a LittleBigPlanet games comes to PC and PS 🦆
LittleBigPlanet on multiple platforms would be 🦆 line, and sinker of a smash hit
@@UglySofaGaming The newer Sackboy game being on PC and PS as well as more PS games coming to PC makes me believe it's possible
Can’t blame them for stoping dreams, it’s to complicated
Me personally, I created much more fun creations in Dreams than I ever did in LBP and I didn't learn much logic for either one.

I have a bad feeling that they need a quick cash in. I see a generic online multiplayer battle arena type game coming. And it will end Mm
Most likely not but that doesn’t mean what you said isn’t possible
@@Mr.ankylo345 Yea, i hope not.
Also just thought of an idea for you..Since the online function is going to disabled soonish. . Do you think it's worth making a video for people to promote their Dreams in your comments. (I.e game name, type of game) P.S My game is Bod's No Retreat. No Surrender - retro 3d adventure game, not many bells & whistles to it though compared to other creaters, but it is an 1 hour long game.
P.P.S Keep up the great work as usual
@@michaelcorsano3607 We'l be carrying on with the Top 10s, seems like as good a place as any for people to promote their games in the comments go for it
Honestly I feel LBP 4 Should be a PS6 launch title at this point
I honestly kind of want a lbp trilogy so the originals can be played on ps5 or ps 4 i think it would be great add better multiplayer and a slightly improved lbp editor which would contain all levels uploaded from lbp 1, 2, and 3
I don't think it would be a good idea for them to continue using those aging servers from lbp1-3. It would be better for them to just make a new one so that the new trilogy game has less security vulnerabilities, and a better code foundation.
Mm needs to move away from the user creation angle if they are not going to support it for the long haul.
They'll be another maker maker to
Come around soon.
🦆Never played any of the little big planet games but I love making stuff in game maker type games. Seems like they're moving away from game maker type games based on that website redesign. I'm still sore to have gotten into Dreams right as MM stops updating it.
i just want LBP 4 it was my childhood and it made me sad when they closed the servers 4 lbp 1
I do feel bad for the dreams community. I grew up with LBP so an LBP4 or something like that would be awesome
I can't get over that "games" sign dangling from the guys nose on Mms homepage 😅

Well, Tearaway was more traditional and it was cool.
But I will never, NEVER forget the days in LBP2 when I watched a short video series about a cleaner superhero Linda, known as Supersiivooja (Supercleaner in English)
I revisited LBP 3 last year, (subscribed PS Plus Extra for a month) and first I revisited all nostalgic (mostly Finnish) community levels I played when I was younger.
If we can have one huge lbp game online with all this new stuff from like sacboy a big adventure and have 2d lbp one vibes then i would never ever play another game and spend all my money and time on that

honestly i am fine with how far lbp developed, it was great in exploration mode and alright in story mode. what was a shame though was how abruptly it ended, with the fiasco that was lbp 3 and how the servers had to shut down. for me, it'd be a dream if the triology got remastered for ps4 and 5 and hopefully vita if it could be adapted. thing is the lbp community is slowly fading and sony would need to see bigger request for this to get to the job. so all i can do is pray i guess
I want sackboy Back in the hands in MM
"make games for us" they just want to show you what u can do and what ur capable of. they want sandboxes to be more than sandboxes. idk,
I think the game they made ended up being the Tren game they're talking about on their Twitter
Only way I will play/create on another Mm title is if it is a new advanced version of Dreams. Period.
That's crazy but I should really try out Dreams.
I would love it if Dreams continued but doesn't Sony own the IP? No way they would ever allow it to be sold.
Yess make a LBP4 and make it just like LBP2 and it’ll be perfect
LBP4 with crossplay on Xbox, Playstation, and PC would be amazing... But sadly if LBP4 happens, it'll most likely be a PS5 exclusive
Also, ever heard of Restitched ? Their trailer litterally shows a littlebigplanet level editor, just without sackboy because of copyright issues
PLEASE LET THERE BE ANOTHER LITTLEBIGPLANET GAME PLLLEEEAAASSSEEE
I hope this is true, so I can recreate my LBP2 cringy emo sackboy design
New leak just came out and says media molecule is in process of making a “live service game”
The dreams and LBP community Don't trust Mm after just killing off support (although lbp wasn't as
harsh)
And the dreams community feel lied to, and upset over the poor handeling of dreams.
Chances are that if they ever make a new UGC game, they're old fans won't play in fear of disappointment,
And new ones will get heartbroken just like the other two.
Unless Mm doesn't make a dreams 2, or LBP4. I'm out.
2:27 idk but the way that man is holding the controller...
It doesn't look like someone that play videogames or even care about videogames and the comunity
It'll fail even harder than before, if they try it. They've lost my support by dumping Dreams.

LBP3 was good, but a little too glitchy. Getting a solid LBP4 would be an amazing return to form and I’d love it. A PC port would do wonders!
A PC port would actually be possible this time too as you have PS exclusives coming to PC as well.
To be honest I only care about dreams.
The sack boy on the website us the biggest clue prolly
i really expect a dissapointment, but i still dream for a lbp game to be perfect. i would enjoy it everyday till the game dies
If LBP4 comes out, that's gonna be the only reason I buy a PS5... but the chances are very small that it will happen. so all we can do is wait
I highly doubt LBP4 considering MM left the LBP 3 to sumo
Mm chose to move onto other projects. PlayStation owns the LBP IP and they licensed it to Sumo.
I heard the other day Sumo Digitals community manager confirmed they were no longer working on LBP anymore so we'll see 👀
@@UglySofaGaming I hope so too
Tbh it has to be lbp4. lbp has been through things that were unforgiving
Let MM do lbp and sumo do sackboy so they can co-exist for those who enjoy one over the other
Maybe they go back to LBP because of how badly dreams burnt their budget and resources because what's the point of making a new game if it's just going to be another huge financial risk
epic probably ruled out the competition.......
HELLO new USG store?!
New logo! I love how it looks on the sticker perfect for putting on your notebook or the back of your head
LBP hub became LBP3
I’d buy LBP4 instantly
Not a chance.
🤔 I think all bets are off. What do you reckons next?
@@UglySofaGaming Multiplayer platforming game. They have hired a lot of Multiplayer developers so makes sense to use them, and Mm are platforming game people at heart. Maybe something to rival Fall Guys. Might satisfy the LBP fans who were into the levels rather than the create side.
@@DreamswithLadylexUKwouldn’t they have seen the complaints from LBP fans levied at Sumo about how SaBA feels incomplete due to there not being a create mode? Them being MM and making a strictly “Play” game after so long… I can’t imagine that going well PR wise.
@@phillemon7664 LBP is not their concern any more. They have made Tearaway and Dreams after giving up on LBP, both disappointing financially by following the create formula. They are making a new game and Mark and Kareem both decided not to stick around for it. I think that is an indication of a change of direction to a game less like Mm of the past, and moving on to something more commercial.
@@DreamswithLadylexUK Great insight
I’m well up for LBP4 🦆
i would gladly buy lbp4!
i really hope that all this is true 🦆
LBP 4
Pls ♥
No chance.
What do you think is next for them?
@@UglySofaGaming Something new. I just can't see them doing another LBP game. But then again, maybe Sony orders them to make it since the games sold so well.
@@JayCee-tp2gv im not sure they can do that
I always hated the negative comments on dreams you get when
Sharing with people.
Mostly rude an obnoxious.
They said make nice comments don't
See none of that happening.
It's dreams not facebook, TH-cam,
or twitter.😑
Maybe it's a good thing dreams
Is coming to an end after all.
Please give us LBP 4
