    I used massive pedalboards for years and I’ve managed to legit just put a scarlet, a poly tune, and a nektar pacer midi pedal on a board and do everything inside loopy now.
    Mad

    Thanks for sharing Josh! Incidentally, I love the idea of going wireless between guitar and pedalboard but I have a stereo + mono jack (i.e. 3 mono signals) coming from my guitar and routed through diff FX etc on my pedal board, so I'd need all three signals wireless and in sync. Sounds impossible or ££ to me!

    Loopy Pro really helps loopers get to work on designing the rig that's right for them. It's easier now to get a little clarity on what you need and what you don't need.

      i d wish! I m still hoping it will be released for windows so i can actually use it :D Can't change one of my setup-cores, which is my Dell Touch Laptop, RME Babyface, and lots of awesome VST- Instruments.

      @@sternenherz - Have you ever considered using your laptop as a sound generator and picking up a cheap used ipad and Loopy pro as a looper and run the laptop into the ipad?

      @@LiveLoopers woops my comment wasnt sent, it seems. Here i go again: Yes, i m always looking for used Ipad Pros 2020 12.9 (for the big screen) now, haha! Still, i can't imagine it replacing my "Ableton only" workflow now. Because: Since Ableton would remain my VST base, i also would be tempted to still use Ableton as my sequencer/arrangement view to make a 'finished' track out of the loops. In order to do so, it would be perfect to have LoopyPros output route back into Ableton, which i cannot do with my current interface I/O. i think i would need some additional i/o via ADAT or something. i m a bit reluctant to put more work into configurations/equipment.
      Especially because in the last days i found 'touchable Pro' to be absolutely awesome, unexpectedly. It finally enables me to have a much better Ableton Launchpad on touchscreen, showing Tracknames, Clipnames, and the Clip-Loop-Progress via a color-clock. It's not as sexy and beautiful as the Loopy Pro Donuts, but other than esthetics, it's the same nice overview, good for live-performance.
      So i will practise with my new touch interface, and, when i have some used/borrowed Ipad, i will compare the workflows in order to decide :)

      @@sternenherz - Makes a lot of sense. I used to have a three ipad set up with one ipad generating my sounds routing to another ipad to do effects processing routed to another ipad for LoopyHD. I'm thrilled that Loopy Pro allowed me to simplify to just one ipad but I still think in terms of an ipad chain so ideas like run your laptop into a Loopy Pro set up jump into my head at the slightest provocation.

    Thanks for sharing!…For ipad pro m1..i use Baseus superlative multifunctional hub..it has 4 usb 3.0 and powers ipad..works well..even its not officially supported ..its not written anywhere..but if you need long cable..its another story....

    I’m surprised no one has used the iConnectivity iconnect interfaces. They charge the iPad and work as a router for midi devices as well both usb and din

    Im in a battle in my head weather or not to put the interface in my board or under my keyboard.. as you know I use the iPad in different set ups (bands and solo).. do I need to bring my board in the bands set up? That’s the question.. for the bands rig, in reality I really only need one foot pedal for everything else I should be able to use my hands, but having extra foot buttons could be useful. Nice video!

      Maybe for you a small rackmount case for the interface would be a good option? Thanks!

    what vocal processing apps are you using?

    • @JoshElliottMusic

      So far I’m keeping it
      pretty simple. Loopy Pro stock eq and compressor, bleass delay, Alteza reverb and Fab Filter Saturn for some subtle saturation

    What usb hub do you use with a long usb c cable to connect to the ipad that works. I tried several and also ordered some long usb c extention cable but it didn’t work

      It took me some trial and error to find what worked. I use a Stay-Go Hub and Cable Matters Thunderbolt cable. I found out quality matters and the cheap stuff is unreliable. This video is pretty old now. I have a whole new pedalboard for Loopy Pro now and will be making that video soon.

      Hi Josh, thanks for your reply. I will check a better thunderbolt cable now I know it’s possible.

    Nice Video Josh! I am exactly doing the same as you I just need to get the MC8! The only difference is that I want to control the Loopy Pro with the MC8? Did you already tried and do you think it’s reliable on a live performance?

    • @JoshElliottMusic
      @JoshElliottMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Yes the MC8 is rock solid. I haven’t done much mapping for a loopy Pro with the MC8 since I use the Launchpad Mk3 for that. You might also consider the Nektar Pacer since it has light feedback which the MC8 does not have

      @@JoshElliottMusic you mean the colours ?

    • @JoshElliottMusic
      @JoshElliottMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe the colors on the pedal led’s reflect the loop status in Loopy. I would recommend asking about it it the Loopy Pro FB group. There are a few guys in there with that pedal

      @@JoshElliottMusic The pedal you talk it’s too big for me I am searching for a thing more compact! The reason I asked you it’s because I saw a few videos of this pedal and I know it’s not cheap and I only would like to know if it reliable or not for live performances! 🙂
