adding to the scrum of people interested in your octave splitting plug in. I'm sure i could spend a few months figuring it out but i'd rather ask the guru. thanks again for all of your inspiration
For the drum, try lumbeat rock drum. In midi sync with loopy pro. You can send midi commands to do fills, crash, change the beat and so on.. The sound is amazing with dynamics. I also use rc5 with it.
Hi Max I'm dumbfounded by the amount of likes you've gotten, far to few! You're an incredible player and a great teacher! Your videos are the reason I purchased loopy pro!
Great stuff...What do you use for your bass sound? I figured out your vinyl stop button. Pretty cool. I actually, made a vinyl 'start' button restoring everything slowly back to normal.
I'd suggest taking a leaf out of Ed Sheeran's book and START SINGING! Have a few loops set up to only record guitar and use them to put down your backing while you sing the first verse. You can also turn simultaneous recording on and record chorus guitar and vocals to different clips at the same time which sets you up nicely for adding harmonies the next few times through.
Hello. Thanks for your inspiring videos. I like change my set up from a headrush looperboard to loopy pro. I am having difficulty on choosing the right ios device for the installation off loopy pro. Can you tell me what do you recomende? My set up will be simple with few plugins or none at all. I will have outboard gear instead of plugins. Thanks again for the inspiration.
Thank you! Loopy Pro works well on a range of iOS devices, even less powerful ones if you’re keeping things simple. Personally, I’ve used it on an iPhone 11, iPad 9, and an iPad Air with an M1 chip, and all of these have handled Loopy Pro smoothly. Keep in mind that Loopy Pro itself isn’t too demanding, but plugin performance can vary
Love your videos. I’m having trouble with different loop lengths. I start out recording a short drum beat like you, maybe 2 bars but then when I go to my second loop with the guitar it stops before I finish my guitar loop. Need help understanding how to sync different loop lengths.
There will be a video about octave effect soon! I use Qvox and couple other plugins for that For the rotary effect I still use my HX stomp. There is a plugin called Rotary Mod by Eventide, you could try that
Hi Max I would really love to have your template about your rec dub play loop using your morningstar (i actually have an irig blueboard), but it would help quite a lot, since i'm not able yet to manage the pedal commands like play stop eventually play again and so on, thanks a lot!
Max, what about connecting the whole mixer to Loopy Pro in order to record guitar, voice, maybe some percussion section, that's a very normal use case, I do that usually with my boss gear, would in that case be any noticeable latency?
The latency depends on: 1 Usb interface 2 Plugins CPU-usage requirements and iPad power To do minimise latency, use the smallest buffer size (I will find it in System Settings)
Thanks! Hmmmm, it depends. I like my Morningstar MC8. It's a versatile and sturdy device. My thought on other controllers are here - www.loopymax.com/setup
Actually I quite appreaciate watching someone build a track right in front of me. If it’s good anough for Thomas Dolby on his last tour, I think it’ll suffice for me.
Nice video! May I ask how powerful is your iPad (what version etc). Are you actually playing out with Loopy Pro? I'm reading horror stories about iPad crapping out if too hot.
iPad 9th gen (MK2L3). Haven’t had a change to play out with Loopy on stage. But I had a 2 hours stream performance from home - it was ok, no issues. I suppose it depends on how hard you use CPU, how demanding your plugins
Hi - great video and music! I am REALLY new to Loopy, but have been using hardware loopers for a while (Boss RC 300 then Aeros)....I do mostly cover tunes where I might have drums and some tracks ready ahead of time (I don't want to be that typical loop guy either!) like you do here. I have seen a lot of loopy videos, but I haven't seen any that show it doing verse-chorus-bridge- outro type arrangements... Is this possible? Is it as easy in loopy as it is with the hardware loopers? Thanks!
Hi! Thanks! Yes, it's possible to do it inside Loopy Pro. You should use groups. I believe that it's even easier to do using Loopy Pro than using a hardware loop pedal. By the way, I was going to Aeros too. Before I found out about Loopy 😅 I have a lesson on that Verse/Chorus topic inside the course - loopymax.gofingerstyle.com/quickstart
Hello! Currently, there are three plans: 1) Access to the course for one year. 2) Lifetime access 3) Lifetime access and one personal video call loopymax.gofingerstyle.com/#price_options If you'd like more lessons, we can arrange that any time -www.loopymax.com/personal
Thank you! I will be getting the lifetime access with personal video call today. I just started watching your videos and I absolutely love all your content, but this stuff can be overwhelming. I think a structured course would serve me well. Thank you! @@max_yar_guitar
Max, you are a fabulous guitar player, and teacher. Such a pleasure to listen to this!
Thank you so much! Always happy to share the music - thanks for listening 😊
Thank you for single handedly making the future of live looping videos that much more interesting.
Hi Max, thank you! Could you please share what technique (AU effects) are you using for splitting guitar octaves in Loopy Pro?
Yes, that would be great, thx!
Sure! I'll do a video on that soon!

Would love to see this!
Did this video ever get made? :)

Love your work Max
I really appreciate it 😊

You can also use a midi guitar
Absolutely!
Another great video!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Outstanding! Thanks
Great video! Very interesting! I will check out your course too!
Thanks!
Yes please! Show video how to build octave pedal into loopy pro with plugins, much appreciated !!
Will do!
Great stuff...What do you use for your bass sound? I figured out your vinyl stop button. Pretty cool. I actually, made a vinyl 'start' button restoring everything slowly back to normal.
Oh, that vinyl start button is smart! Thanks!
For my bass sound, I use a bunch of plugins. I'll make a proper video on that soon.
5:30 i need that, please create video for that 🙏
No problem! ☺️
Max your are the best! thank you! simply videos a lot of quality content in short time and easy to understand.
My pleasure!
Great stuff - again! Thx a lot!

Just to add: excellent video as always Max.
I like it.

Another great lesson- thanks Max
i appreciate that ✊🏼
We‘d like absolutely everything u do, Max
What are you using for the rotary effect? And how did you replicate the boss octave pedal w software? Great work!
There will be a video about octave effect soon! I use Qvox and couple other plugins for that

Thank you for your support, I will! :))
Great job Max
thanks, Andrew!
Amazing lesson. Thanks for content. What pedal controller do you recommend?

What guitar are you playing? Sounds great
Thank you! It's a Furch guitar, but that's not a stock pickup. It's Fishman Rare Earth Mic Blend
