    I'm building a motorized bicycle. I hate the tanks that come with the kits so I've purchased a minibike gas tank. I'm worried the tank will look a bit too large for the bike. Any suggestions on painting to make something appear smaller? There is tons of information online to make a room appear bigger with painting techniques but what techniques make something appear smaller?

    Just now finding your channel and content and you have influenced me to try painting my fxd. Have a few questions though, paint is chipped off in a few spots and you can see surface rust. Should I strip it to bare metal or hit with 600 grit and paint over it all. I believe it’s factory paint

    Im about to paint pretty much the same frisco style tank, was just wondering did you fill/sanded the welds because of looks or is there an actual technical reason that it should be done? Would save me some work since the tank is otherwise brand new and presanded, and i kinda like the look of the welds.

    • @TimeWarpCustomPaint
      @TimeWarpCustomPaint  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I personally do not sand or grind down the welds. Especially on a fuel tank that can cause fuel leakage.

    First, Thank you for all of your amazing and informative videos. Quick question about primer. I plan to use my gun to lay the base and clear down, but was going to rattle can the primer on. I bought the primer (SEM 42013 Grey High Build Primer) you had on your Amazon link. My question is, can I spray this directly on bare metal, or do I have to put a coat or two of self-etching primer?

    • @TimeWarpCustomPaint
      @TimeWarpCustomPaint  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Your best off to use a 2k primer if your painting complete parts. The speedo kote brand primer is the way to go

    Hi, i enjoy your content and work. And you have inspired me to want to try out airbrushing. I want to repaint/airbrush my gastank and fenders. Do you recomend removing all paint to bare metal first? Or can i sand, fix dents, sand and Prime. And go from there? In your "how to fix dent and..." video. You don't prime the whole tank after sanding? Only the putty? Then sand and basecoat?
