    Neat video! It's a shame the e-reader never took off, the idea of pokemon cards that do more than just be some cardboard is so cool.

      Agreed! Wish they did a bit more with the e-reader and the tcg

    Please, tell me that I'm the only who thinks that would have been better if the cards actually gave the pokemon itself on the games????

      That would've been pretty cool

      As a kid I assumed that was literally the whole idea behind the machine

    Fantastic video! Never knew this but always fun to learn regardless. Can also tell the amount of effort put into the editing, keep up the good work!

    Fun fact I learned: Emerald still has e reader functionality, in the Japanese version its accessible while in the us version it cant be used unless you inject a custom event using the wireless connection then using a npc to access it.

    Sick video. Always wondered why those Pokemon cards looked so funky compared to the rest. For awhile, I even thought they were fake back in the day.

      Haha it would have been so funny if they were fake!

    Printer here, foil can be hard to work with when it comes to super specific detail like what was needed on the dot codes. That is proboboly why they weren't there on the foils

      Ooh that's good information. Thanks for letting me know!

    1:40 is that eReader card just to patch Japanese Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire and not the Japanese Infinity Ticket ( Eon Ticket )?

    • @kid_a1
      @kid_a1  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That E-reader card was used specifically with the e-reader+ to fix the Berry glitch on Japanese copies of Ruby and Sapphire

    For some reason as a kid the e reader cards made me not like the cards any more and I missed out on collecting the rarest set of all time

    Neat! I never knew what they were for. I'm surprised they could pack a mini-game or little apps into just a strip of dots
