Shooting FRENZY with the Leshiy 2!! Reflex Gunsight vs. Pigeons

  • A red dot/reflex/holographic gunsight is something you wouldn't normally associate with airguns and pest control activities. However, I decided to test one on my Leshiy 2 .25, and it turns out it works great on a semiautomatic air rifle for quick target acquisition at close range, even with targets as small as pest birds.

    That red dot is about the perfect tool for shooting indoors, I think. Close range and less need for light allow it to aim where a traditional scope would struggle or fail completely. Coupled with a torch, it would make for very productive lamping of the sky rats after the sun sets. Assuming of course that you could and would stick around long enough in the permission for it to get dark - after all, farms open and close shop based entirely around the daylight hours.
    Some of these cats are not so fat. They should be very eager janitors to help you clean up all the kills 😁

    • @AirRifleActivities
      @AirRifleActivities  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree with you, mate. Thing is the pigeons don't roost there and I don't use it for shooting rats as it will be hard to record through that gun sight. Still, if you're not making videos, it's a great setup.

    Hi Alex, another enjoyable video. First day sitting out in the warm sunshine, 16C, here in Bridlington. No shooting for a couple of weeks, but I hope to fix that as my wife is going to try to get back driving this week after her long recovery from ankle surgery last November. Whilst she is about the house all I can do is target practice. One advantage, is the spring weather is bringing more skyrats into the garden to feed.

    • @AirRifleActivities
      @AirRifleActivities  ปีที่แล้ว

Hey I have an idea what country your in but I found very affordable well made moderators in Texas for 40$ made by Buck Rail and all I can hear is the pellet hitting the target🤷‍♂️💯👍Hope this come in handy bud. Wow! That cat really sumo'd that pigeon, don't see that too often. (Musta been HUNGRY!!) lol The red accents on the rifle look great! Just curious...how well does the red-dot work when you go from outdoor (brighter) to indoor (lower) light levels? Is it harder on your eyes compared to the scope? I especially enjoy the shots where the skyrat is silhouetted against the sky, standing there looking around, not a care in the world. Great shooting, great vid! Cheers!

    • @AirRifleActivities
      @AirRifleActivities  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, David 🙂 The red dot works perfectly fine both indoors and out; you just need to find the right brightness setting. You can quickly increase it or reduce if need be. And it's not hard on the eyes at all, it's just a piece of glass with 1x magnification you look through with both your eyes open.
      Thanks, brother 🙂🤝

    • @AirRifleActivities
      @AirRifleActivities  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You're spot on, mate, but this thing doesn't have doors per se, they use some panels to close it, with a lot of gaps providing enough escape room for the winged rats. And I can't put them in place myself, it's the workers and managers there who make that decision 🤷 I adapt to the situation 😉 Thanks for watching again! 🤝

      I enjoyed it. It’s funny seeing the cats go grab a pigeon. I shoot these ears all the time in houston Tx. But things are kinda gnarly here in the states! A police officer might more than likely use the excuse-“he was holding a gun” and use that to shoot folks in the US. Things changed
