Looks like your hard work is paying off, seems like less birds in the area now than when you started. I am amazed at how well this facility is kept clean, very little spilt grain laying around. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, Rich :) It wasn't that clean when we first got there - pigeon feces all over the place. Once we started culling them and their numbers diminished considerably, they could clean up the place. That being said, I admit the management makes a lot of effort to keep the complex tidy. There is spillage here and there but not too much.
@@AirRifleActivities I would have left the sparrow alone because there are plenty of pigeons.

Great shooting brother, here in Chicago people feed pingeons, house sparrows etc.. they are not afraid at all. You can almost touch them. Great job!

@@AirRifleActivities One of those places is Romania, where I live. 😂😂I mean, there are poor people in the city centre which throw bread and corn/wheat flakes for them. It is a sad thing, cause those sky rats deserve nothing. Other than a slug in their miserable ugly face.

Great shooting. Have been trying to take care of magpies in our area and since I started a few years ago the native song birds have made a big comeback.
Well done, James! Magpies and crows a have a really negative effect on avian biodiversity. A little something I intend to look into one of these days 😉

Awesome long range shooting Master 👏 4:30 is a 10 Drop 🙋 Wood pigeons have a satisfying Thwack when shot and drop nicely, love shooting them from beneath through their body, pellet exits by the neck and frequently cuts the spinal cord for instant kill, 1 less Flying Sh#t Sack 👍

A console game - imagine that 😊 Thanks, mate. I can't say that I have a favourite rifle... I'd like to try new things, so every now and then I exchange my guns for new ones. No easy answer to that question, all the guns I've owned had their pros and cons. No such thing as a perfect gun - just a gun that's perfect for a specific shooter.

😄 You can never tell, buddy - the softer alloy they use for airgun pellets makes them deform quickly upon impact and change direction. Thanks.

@@AirRifleActivities I just purchased an FX impact MK lll In 30 caliber. I have the superior slug liner and slug kit. This thing is an absolute pile driver and at 50 yards can punch lead in the same hole. Now I just need something to kill. Lol

A lot of leaning on the cars ;) I would still like to see the follow cam. You tried it once in a while. Hit, slo mo, external cam following prey to it's doom, footage complete. This way we could all asess which way of shooting brings best and cleanest results (Hit, disable, fall straight down or hit, cripple, fly hectic, land in random location) - good material for analysis, unfortunately, not always from your (otherwise great) videos. You hit a rat, I don't know if it falls dead straight away or if it makes circles for another 30 seconds. Hitting then walking around searching for bodies does not give us enough clues in that regard :)))

@@AirRifleActivities I'm a sub 12ftlb shooter, I would find the range you shoot at (FAC medium ?) interesting.

I would think you may need a slug with a little more energy to get a second pigeon, another poster showed how those kinds of pellets really flatten out.
You're right, Gerald. Not only a slug - a heavier pellet does the job too. It's just that I like to try different weights and types of projectile and on this one I was shooting a relatively light pellet. There'll be more opportunities for double kills 🙂 Thanks.
