I've never had a Subaru, but I have noticed that once someone owns a Subi they are hooked on it for life. My next car will indeed be a Subaru Outback...Wilderness Edition.
Fentanyl hooks for life after trying it, would you consider that a good reason to buy it?
i have a 24 OBW. its great for 90% of the things i want to do. i suggest go test drive one. dont get the 22-23 model. get the 24+ if you can. ther wrx have the same engine and tranny. once you own one you will noticed how many subarus are out there around.
@brianklamer3328 whats wrong with you, man? if you dont have anything positive or constructive to say stay off the comments.
Yeah, not a subaru enthusiast at all, but this video just seems to be bashing the car without doing any real world homework. Everyone I've seen with this car is happy to own it. And I've seen worse car design from every other manufacturer, Ford, my favorite truck manufacturer for my whole life, has moved production to Mexico., and is now having so many recall issues. Way to go Ford, you'll be bankrupt before you know what hits you. Subaru isn't the perfect car company, but there are so many worse manufacturers than Subaru. And their cars from 25 years ago where very good.
My mom get her 2024 today 🙏
You make it sound like the subaru is the only car with a CVT and around 200hp. Most cars that compete with the outback offer similar powertrain for often a lot more money
Unfortunately other than Nissan, Subaru has weak CVT transmissions in comparison to others. Toyota offers real 8 speed automatics on RAV 4 and larger, only their Hybrid models get a CVT and theirs has a launch gear to get you up and going from a dead stop.
@@brianklamer3328 you are right but then again somehow the outback is still faster. 0-60 in 5.9 sec or something like that i believe. Not to mention the outback's AWD system wont overheat ever. 🤷♂️
The Outback is an Awsome car❤
Calling the body awkward, especially the crossover is an interesting take. To me, it is the only SUV that doesn't look like a tiny minivan or a giant suburban. The sporty wagon look is what people love about it. I like that it doesn't try to look like a more expensive car. A lot of other makers are trying to pass off affordable cars as fancy. The new Nissan trim is appalling and stuffy. They lost everything that was fun.
It seems like maybe your being paid to downgrade the Outback, you need to watch some reviews about Outback and rethink what your saying.
Oh he’s not being paid. He’s a troll trying to get views. I was a hardened Subaru critic because of 30 year old misinformation. Subaru’s are phenomenal vehicles these days. Best in class in nearly every model.
Dude you are way wrong about the Outback. I have a 2023 Outback Premium that gets excellent fuel economy. With OP 15 it is a better value than similar in class vehicles. It handles well on and off road. The only thing that I would agree with is the 2.5L NA is sluggish, although it does well on the highway at 60 mph to 75+ mph. At around $33.5K out the door it is a better value than a similarly equipped RAV4 or CR-V. Although the base model is spartan, like all Outback models has excellent safety features. At 26mpg City and 31mpg highway with the 2.5L NA engine the fuel economy for an AWD vehicle that you can take offroad is more than respectable.
The only cvt I would look at are direct shift Toyota and the e cvt for hybrid. Putting a standard cvt in a heavy suv seems rough. That poor thing with no launch gear trying to move from a stop isn't good. It's at the most inefficient point until it gets up to 20 mph or more. Just get a Rav 4 with a normal automatic. The gas mileage isn't great but I'd save the cvt for small light cars. Even then I'd only go with Toyotas true first gear set up or e cvt. Way less wear on the system. I'll be in the market soon, Got a 17 Camry.
@@Lyka-clock the Subaru Outback CVT performs very well even without a launch gear. If you didn't know better you would think it was a normal automatic with its electronic shift points. The Outback is not a heavy SUV, it is more like a station wagon. It is around 3600lbs. I compared the Outback with a RAV4 and did not want to spend more on a Toyota that does not do well in off road driving.
@@mytige20V ....Yea if it works for you, that's all that matters. We had a 2002 Blazer LS that was true off road capable. I remember going up this rock filled mud hill and looking back at my brother-in-law stuck at the bottom with his Honda Pilot.
I know many Subaru Outback owners who love their Outbacks and find none of these issues to complain about. I’ve ordered a 2025 Outback Limited and am eagerly awaiting its arrival this month (June).
Don’t you mean symmetrical all wheel drive system?
The Hallmark is that it’s symmetrical, not asymmetrical.
Some of these Subaru's are designed for a utilitarian market. They are not sports cars, they are for your family everyday driver & seasonally challenging weather conditions.
I have an Onyx turbo and it’s fun and tough. Really great car❤
Subaru needs to change just a few things.
1. Loose the overly large tablet on the dash and bring back buttons / knobs for controlling the car's functions.
2. Bring back the 3.6R. They're rock solid reliable, quiet (yet throaty when called on) and smooth. Comparable to the 2.4T in fuel economy and will last a lot longer.
3. Allow startek seating as options across the models. Don't force it on Onyx and Wilderness buyers.
I have had a 2.5 outback and now I have a 3.6. The 3.6 is head and shoulders above the 2.5. It is powerful and super reliable.
As a Subaru owner I only partly agree. After driving the 2.4T Outback XT and then driving a colleague’s 3.6 Outback, the 2.4T has far better driving characteristics. Low end torque is exceptional on the turbo. Making passing and acceleration effortless. The 3.6 requires way more throttle input to accelerate at the same speed as the turbo. But you are correct about the 3.6 reliability. Its phenomenal. The 2.4T has been very reliable since 2019. No major issues to date. But time will tell. Lastly, I agree with the startex seats. I only wish they were perforated so that they are more breathable. The startex material makes me sweat on long trips. And I am not a sweaty person, by nature.
All of this depends on the user. Go try one. Listen to yourself. It's not bad. Except the laggy head unit. Sound is good. It's quicker than wrx. I had the wrx 2022 year head unit was slow and it jammed.
Outback was not built for drag racing. Sounds and looks like your being paid by the other brands to downgrade Subaru.
Nothing said sounded bad to me. They are solid cars.
Dude, who paid you to be a hater?🙄🤷♂️🙄🤷♂️ I have never owned the Subaru, but I noticed that every person that I know who has owned, the Subaru still has the Subaru!
Blah blah…..
Would you recommend an outback personally? This video sounds biased
@@DriftingStudent I have owned a Forester previously and will buy the 2,4 turbo charged outback in future. They are sturdy vehicles, comfortable and can do tough stuff and highway cruising. Not a full on 4x4 but they will surprise one with what these tough vehicles can do.
I am sure this video maker never drives a Subaru. Just found some videos online and blah blah blah…
I drive a Forester, not an Outback. Will get an Outback in the future when my mom takes her Forester back:) However, I LOOOOOVE Forester. Very reliable and safe car. Don't have a single negative thing to say.@@DriftingStudent
@@DriftingStudentit's a great car tbh. Video is super biased
This article is way out of order and probably written by someone who has never owned a Subaru. One test drive of the Subaru will reveal that this video is pure BS.
Subaru main goals is to protect your life during collision no matter who fault. Subaru keys are functional, reliability and safety. They are not designed for racing. If you are not satisfied with MPG then compare it with those F150 or Suburban SUV then you will know what I mean.
I'm 58 years old, owned many Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Chevrolet... in my life (I'm driving a 2007 Honda Odyssey today and my wife, a 2017 Highlander) We just bought a used 2020 Subaru Forester for my 18 years old son last month. This is our first Subaru in family, we bought it because of safety, we love our son very much and don't want anything happening to him on the road. Believe it or not within a couple months of driving this Subaru, I understand why rich people are buying Subaru, they do care about their life.
My wife drive this Forester and love it too. I have learned that all Subaru have an Eye Sights camera build on both sides of rear view mirror and that's how the Subaru safety feature begins!
As my Honda minivan is getting old, I already thinking of getting a new 2025 Subaru Forester Touring next.
Clutching at straws are we?
This guy is just yapping lmao
I test drove Subaru Outback 2024 non-turbo. The speed dipped several times when i was on plain road. It felt like as if car was on Break or Engine turned off. Maybe transmission problem but, this is the only reason I didn’t get Subaru.
Bs is one of the reasons not to watch your channel
I will buy one
This vid is utterly hilarious
Man my outback turbo is fast as fuk and i love it. Definitely as fast as my accord v6 coupe and faster on wet roads for sure.
Obvious you have never driven an Outback Wilderness! Whatever you say makes no sense at all!
I think they look great
you shouldn't buy any car
Hahahaha. Do you work for Toyota? Subaru's are the BEST vehicles on the market. Bar NONE.
Subaru, LGBTQ+ approved.
Glad you approve
