    My little nephew is non verbal and has the exact same mannerisms as you described! He’s 2 years old! He made a ton of throat sounds and grunts. Protect these little angels 💜

    I uploaded a video of my 4yr old Grandson who was/is nonverbal just like your baby.
    It does get better!
    He was diagnosed last August and has been in speech therapy since 2 and ABA since last spring.
    Stay the course and at her pace
    It definitely gets better and you're doing an amazing job!❤

    Awww that's so interesting to see such close resemblance in sounds to my LG! She's 3 and non verbal (not diagnosed for autism yet, we're on the waiting list). She hasn't said a deliberate word yet, just a variety of sirens/ drill/ tarzan type sounds. She does alot if 'AaaahMmmm.' and 'AAARBAAHH'. Oh and screeching, she's recently discovered screeching lol. She's had some help from our local Early Years team, which has improved with skills like choice making and makaton for 'more' (she hasn't yet grasped 'finished'). She's still not pointing at things. She's just started to mimic some nursery rhyme actions and for a while she's been 'mimic' counting. That's about the extent of it. We're having difficulties with her EHCP now that she's started nursery- we think that the board who have to approve the plan want to see how she gets on in mainstream school before they authorise it- which is ridiculous; they're stalling on providing extra support. The nursery have the draft plan anyway, so they have the information, just not the resources to back it up.

    My little guy does similar things like Leah. He doesn't walk yet but he hand leads me to pick him up (all while making no eye contact)
    He has started to make grunting and screechy type sounds lol.
    He is 14 months old and we have now got the ball rolling for early intervention and he has had a physio assessment.. Just gotta wait for the pediatric assessment now! Love your vids 🌼💓

    My great granddaughter that I am raising, has just been diagnosed with Autism. She is nonverbal, but like Leah she makes sounds. I am hearing her scream out when she is excited now. Just in the past couple weeks. She loves her videos and tablet. She is not potty training at all. I haven't been able to take her bottle for the simple fact that she will not drink from a cup. I must have purchased over a dozen different cups with varying tops, straws, nipple type, hard soft whatever. She isn't having it. and cannot tell me what the problem is. So, we wait a little longer. I felt like someone had just told me about a death in the family when they told me she was autistic. she didn't walk until 17 months and she is so heavy for her age. Just sharing my thoughts. God bless you and your precious angel girl. You and your husband seem to be doing a great job. We are all going to survive this. Just another challenge.

    Maybe print out a chart so she can point to what she wants? Like milk or juice or applesauce on the fridge. When she points pull it out and refer back to the image !

    Hi guys!
    My son I still waiting for his evaluation but we know it is ASD. He is 4 and still non verbal. He only says Mama.
    If you are looking into ways to teach your little one how to point and all those other important prelinguistic skills search for Laura Mize! She is amazing and some of her advice has broken the ice for us! Amazing SLP!

    • @thatdailymama
      @thatdailymama  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is she here on Yt? Im gonna look for her ty!!

    • @iuliabaragan9579
      @iuliabaragan9579 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thatdailymama Yes, you can find her on YT. The first time my son demonstrated imitation was when we were playing a silly but very effective little game Laura suggested. She also has tones of useful advice like taking your child's favorite thing ( if it is a toy just buy several) and spread them qround the room and then go find them with your child pointing each time in the direction of the object. This was how I taught my son to follow with his eyes my point (before I used to point to the ground and he would look at the sky if at all). So simple but I don't know if I would have ever thought about it.
      Leah seems to be very clever and I am sure you will have positive results.
      God bless!

    My son is 3 , he has speech delay , he only says single words , he is showing some signs of autism , but speech therapy is definitely helping him alot , dont stress keep observing her , have fun with her find out what motivates her and slowly slowly with her play she will start to speak , i did the same with my son , he says all the action words , i have actually become a tape recorder everyone gets annoyed with the noises we make in the house but its ok , i am just trying hard to communicate with him i taught him animals by throwing them in water like i said tiger and threw it in water, giraffe and again threw it in water and mashallah he knows many names , keep repeating everything if she wants water say water water water , when shes drinking say drink drink drink within few days you will be surprised to see her talking always keep her happy , learn and play is the best for speech delay
