Hi Mat, when you put your tailfin on did you have to use any spacers to clear the sliding dropout bolts ? So the quick release opens towards the front of the bike ?
I've only just booked a flight home for the 4th September. It gives me plenty of leeway should anything happen. I didn't get asked at the US/Canada border. They were pretty chilled out and are used to people doing this route.
Definitely a cactus. How's the bike doing, other than the tyres and pads? Waiting for my local Alpkit to phone me about a Broken Road 29er they're having built up for me to test ride.
How did you manage that? I've been struggling to get anywhere with Sonder... starting to think it's not worth bothering with if the service is that bad
I rang the Ilkley and Gateshead stores on Wednesday 9 August to check what they had in stock. Unfortunately neither had a medium. But, Gateshead said there was one in Edinburgh that could be available to try. So I then rang Ilkley to ask them to get it for me. They rang me back a bit later and said it had been sold, but HQ would build me one up (I assume with SRAM SX, Nova 29" wheels and suspension fork - although I will hopefully buy the Shimano SLX with Pathfinder fork and Alpha wheels), and that would be about 2 weeks. So hopefully any day now. It's a medium I'm after in case that helps and you want to arrange your local store to get it for you after.
Also been emailing a guy called Andrew in their customer service to enquire about spec. He's been great too so so far service has been pretty great. He's not been involved in arranging the test build though.
@@COYSMike cheers Mike. I had a sit on a large in Kingston store and Charlie at Bristol let me out for a play on their medium display model. I was looking at the Pinion setup, but with possibly some nonstandard parts. Spoke with the helpline who said to email it in. Have done twice now, as well as DM several times through Faceache. Latest was they'd "found my email and would pass it to Connor". That was late Wednesday. Think I'll give it a couple more days then sack it off and go elsewhere
@@DeeJee-l9t Hope they do get back to you. Seems like they are happy to build with non standard parts which is another reason why I want to buy one as I want to change the shifters to I-SPEC EV. Out of interest what size are you and how was the medium? Was it a 29er? I'm 5ft 7 so in between sizes so not sure if medium will be ok.
Great drone shot on the way into Salida. But on 360p it doesn’t work that good 😮 And I crossed through Del Norte from west to east almost 20 years ago, but didn’t recognize anything 😢
Was 360p the highest you could watch on? It was a last minute upload but TH-cam had said it had processed up to 4k, I have had a problem with a video a while back where for the first hour it wasn't viewable in HD.
@@matryderadventuresYes 360p was the only option. But I was to anxious to see the video. Now TH-cam offers everything up to 2160p. I guess I will rewatch later. It is worth to multiple watch it, anyway 🎉
Very sorry about that, it's frustrating as if TH-cam had indicated it was still processing I would have held off on publishing it. I hope you can enjoy it the second time around in full HD!

But on 360p it doesn’t work that good 😮
And I crossed through Del Norte from west to east almost 20 years ago, but didn’t recognize anything 😢
Might be because it just uploaded.
How old are ya, Mat Ryder?
49. I'll be 50 in September. Young!!!!
