The 'cart' looks like a blast to drive. The rod bolt snapping is a Great example of the reason to make sure all bolts match the hole depths. Any piece of wire poked in the bolt hole will give you a depth with a mark at the outside. I'm dealing with 2 stripped holes due to the depth being shallow and I didn't know. Thank for showing the kits and parts available, and how to use them.
Upgraded engine, forgot to upgrade every other part of Go-Kart LOL...yep the normal building of anything....upgrade one piece at a time HAHA!!! When I was about John's age my family went to my aunt and uncles for Thanksgiving one year....no sooner we pull in the driveway my mom's first words were stay off the go-karts...which to me and my cousins meant go have fun on the go-karts...I don't know how many tanks of gas we went through, but we had a blast. My aunt and uncles property however, was on a hill...and neither go-kart had brakes....I don't think those go-karts ever idled the whole time they were running, throttle pinned wide open all the time, up the hill, down the hill and through the curves, and if you weren't careful you ended up in the blackberry patch LOL. So John playing with mud mowers, and Go-Karts just reminds me of my childhood at his age. Except my uncle got rid of the Go-Karts not too long afterwards. Haven't had one since. The 2 seater go-kart had a 5HP Briggs & Stratton engine, the single seater had an 8HP Briggs & Stratton engine....the single seater was quite a bit larger though, more of an adult sized, mini-dune buggy type.
Everything have a range where it vibrates like crazy, its when it hits its own frequenze. Its how you can break crystal glass. And also same with RC helicopters wich is balaned to the max, but once you open the throttle and it hits that freqenzy everything wobble.
I know what you mean with that weird vibrations at some rpms. i dont know what it is but my cheap china 50cc scooter hat that same thing at like 9000 rpm. but it runs fine
