Great month. Even with James Pond, while I don't care for the game, the value is there to use as something to flip down the road. :) Congratulations on your growth lately, my friend!!
That's the correct attitude to have! I've found my bad months are always evened out by my good months with VGM. And no matter what, I get to play something I don't own - assuming I remember to update my list. ;) Thanks for watching!!
Great haul! Always good to see some Master System love. Those cards are so cool to have, and Transbot is a pretty fun game for what it is. Look forward to next month!
I'm stoked to have it! It's a really great game, and the Master System is quickly becoming one of my favorites to collect for because I'd literally only ever played the Lucky Dime Caper before last year. :D
Nice box! I've got a soft spot for Snake, Rattle & Roll. Super Giana Sisters is such a good pull. And SMS card games are always great to get, so that's fantastic.
Now that is an excellent box. Gina Sisters looks awesome! Added to my wishlist. Transbot looks like a fun afternoon. While I don't think I would keep the other three over the long term I think I would have some fun messing around with them.
James Pond 3 is the only legitimately awful experience in this box - everything else I've at least had a good time with. :) And Giana Sisters is AMAZING - absolutely track it down!!
I feel like that lighting comment was directed at me 😅 Also, what a fantastic order to pull the game in. So much tension. So much story. The elation of getting Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams after the disappointment of the Snake Rattle and Roll duplicate, all culminating with your first Master System card! What a ride!
The lighting was 100% not directed at you, but it kind of was 100% directed at you, subconsciously. :P It was a fun box! Even the disappointment of SRNR was still not a bad thing, because it's such a fun game! :D
I remember getting the first James Pond on my Genesis and really enjoyed the play on the series theme with spy and fish 007 lol. Never played the sequels and now I know why I think. Still love getting new games to try out for the first time in 3 decades for us...crazy.
A friend of mine seemed to go on about Snake Rattle & Roll all the time way back in the day, but whenever we hung out we'd only play either Marble Madness or SMB1-3. Pity to find out that Robocod doesn't play well after all. I enjoy the puns in the title & it always looked like a solid trilogy of platformers based on screenshots in magazines.
You know, it might get better or at least become more accessible the more I play it - but first impressions of James Pond 3 were not positive. I'm gonna keep on with it, though!
They really went all out on Gianna Sisters from a game that was sued for being a Mario clone back in the day to being its own thing on a Nintendo system. :)
If you go into it knowing that you're not going to be sent things like Little Samson, but you'll instead get the opportunity to play games you don't own? You'll love it.
What a great box!!! Wow! I dont think Ive seen anyone get a Master System card game. Ive always wanted to check out Gianna Sisters. Never knew there was a James Pond 3. Really cool box
A nice mixture of systems in the box.Stinks about Snake Rattle and a roll but it happens. I just used some credit today on a few NES games and am hoping I don’t get them in next weeks box. 🤞🏻 I got a copy of Giani Sisters in a box from them awhile back. That’s a nice grab. I don’t own a Sega card yet either. That was a cool pick up. 🤙🏻
SRnR being a copy is a bummer, but legit - noticed after the fact that the one I got from VGM was in MUCH better shape than the one I had previously: so that's a win! :)
I may have said it before, but these are fun videos. I would love to get games every month, however, I really don't need any more. Especially some of the random games they send. Super cool concept though. Thanks and take care!
I loved the first one from what I remember, but this one just feels off - didn't click for me, but I do think I'm going to stick with it for a bit to see if I can figure things out a bit more. :)
Just be aware - they're not for everyone. If you go in knowing you're paying for the opportunity to play games you don't already own and not looking for them to send you a copy of say Little Samson, you'll be golden. :)
It is fun - but I'll be upfront with you, it's definitely not for everyone. If you go in knowing you won't always get a crazy haul, and you get to try out games you don't already own, it's worth every cent. Thanks for watching!
@@SquarePegs there are loads of games I don't own and have never played. And for that matter never see while game hunting. And I'm not a mint CIB guy either. I want games I can play or friends and family can play when they visit. So this might be worth it.
Yeah, I'l just have to see if I can move some stuff around to afford it. Not horribly priced. But I have a lot of things I'm subbed to right now. Too many hobbies.
We all get duplicates eventually. I did in my box as well. Now i have an extra famicom Excitebike. Snake Rattle and Roll was a very early game rental for me. Nice box, im so jelly that you got a Sega Card. I have Spy vs Spy and Ghost House.📦👾
I’m actually starting a subscription to this this month. I’m currently only set up for cartridges because I don’t want to hassle with loose discs. Are loose discs something that is common from them? Or do they tend to send completes when they send disc based games?
I think carts are the way to go, personally. Not because I've gotten an abundance of disc-based games out of their original cases, but because carts are more resilient overall. I do have Dreamcast, GameCube, and Wii U on my list of platforms, but I primarily get sent stuff for Cart based consoles.
@@SquarePegs sounds like I made the right call then. Who knows, I might throw GameCube on my list at some point, just because I love that console, and we can see what comes from it! By the way, I hate I missed you at SEGE this year. Hopefully I’ll get chance to shake your hand next year.
The Gianna sisters is on the switch as well just picked it up It's a grrrrrreat game!!!!! Great haul this month 👌. I love all the james pond games super Mario clones in my opinion!!!!
That was a great box. Transbot is on my hunt list. Giana Sisters I have for the Switch and damn it's a fun little game. Snake Rattle and Roll is a Rare game, and you know the reverence Spectrum kids have for Rare. James Pond, well, Euro Platformers aren't for everyone 😉
Tsk tsk Jay! How dare you go! Have fun at SEGE with some amazing Canadians and a couple cool Americans and not update your list! Seriously though, that is an amazing haul and very diverse from VGM. Gianna Sisters looks really really fun! It looks like a cross between Ori and a first party Mario game. I'm betting I would like it.
o man Snake Rattle and Roll is such a fun game. Really liked that one growing up.
Giana Sister is a great one as well.
Good month for sure

Snake Rattle and Roll is such an underrated classic for the NES, great soundtrack. I've still never beat the final bigfoot at the end of the game.
100% agreed. I've been loving my time with it!
Getting an SMS card game is crazy. Don't forget to put your name on the back.
Done. And. Done.
WOW!!! What a box!!! Impressive. My box wasn't too good this month but hey, it is what it is.

I don't remember much about the first one, but I also remember enjoying it! The third sequel is...not good. :D
Kung Fu heroes is also on the switch online
Wasn't aware of that! Couldn't tell you the last time I booted up the NES app to play something other than SMB3. :D

It really was! So stoked to get a Master System card - even if I never get another one, they crushed it with this one!
The Sega Card game is really cool, I don't have one in my collection either so that would be my pick for sure.
Never thought I'd see one in a box - but stoked to have it!
I was wondering when you were going to post the next video! 😂 Pretty cool box!
When I saw you play the Kung Fu Heroes game, I was thinking the same thing about it. Looks interesting with some of the things they did with it.
One more thing: I’ve never heard of Giana Sisters but that game looks fun as heck!!
Stupid bank delayed the shipment, and then I was out of town for a week. :P)

They're fun videos to make, I won't lie. And it's EASY content - 10 minutes of filming and then some game capture and audio and out the door I go. :P
You need to turn that hat around sir! Everyone needs to see the Macon Bacon!
Not the Bacon hat, my friend - it's not a snapback. :) This is one of my Square Pegs hats.
I have and love the first two James Pond games. Never got around to the 3rd. It does look/feel a bit different (in a bad way) in your footage.
I loved the first one from what I remember, but this one just feels off - didn't click for me, but I do think I'm going to stick with it for a bit to see if I can figure things out a bit more. :)
