this take me back to my childhood, i have a NES which one day all of my game became blurry and blurry, i just thinks it's old and ask my dad to buy a new one, of course it rejected, but at one day, my little brother accidentally spilled glass of milk i think, because we got in a fight since i only have one working controller, we usually take turn to play though, so since it's wet, my dad just take it apart and clean it, then dried it under the sun, one day after, it fixed the graphic, thanks for sharing this, i miss my dad

    • @Pan_exe_

      I kinda feel this comment..
My brother has a NES standing in it's room because we collect old and new Nintendo consoles...
We both don't know we do but I guess it's a mental thing we have to!
And my brother sometimes allowed me to play on it and showed me how to clean them so they game wouldn't fade while playing
It's bringing back a nostalgia I never had

Great work as always. I restore old game systems, and even some times newer ones, but not often. You do really good work. If I could, my one thing I would recommend, is when you have it apart, get some metal polish and go over all the metal covers at least once. It works like a wax and slows down the rusting process by half.

Don't use an air compressor to spray off electronics! Air compression increases moisture in the tank, moisture corrodes the tank (rust), air hose empties whatever is in the tank to the electronics. I've seen motherboards stop working because the person with the air compressor doesn't know he's literally spraying small iron filings and rust onto it.
    Use canned air.

The NES was so incredibly well built and is very easy to repair. I wish the industry kept consoles well engineered, modular, and easy to repair. Nintendo does have superior engineering compared to their competitors, though, but even though modern consoles are effectively becoming PCs, they are making them less modular and harder to repair and it's obnoxious.
Anyway, I love your videos and sometimes use them as references for my own repairs. ❤
