The DJI mini 3 which is less than 249g only requires registration without insurance, from I understand. Would you recommend liability insurance still? If so, what do you recommend?
You should register yourself as a drone operator. Once you pass the exam A1/A3 then its time to Register, input your liability insurance number then they give you the Remote ID number for your drone to attach to it.

Hello, from what I see on the map, drones under 250g are allowed in that area. The Interlaken area has a lot of air traffic that is low to the ground. Just be careful when you fly.

Yes, you do need to register and it is free. The insurance requirements is for a liability insurance that covers drones. You will have to ask your insurance provider about this as all insurance companies have different plans.
Yes, you will need to register it, and the insurance is also a good idea to have. If you have extra room, I would bring it. Have a great time visiting switzerland!
