Dang Troy, that looks mighty good. I've only been to one boil before! Wish I was there eating it with you and Karen! Don't you miss the long sunny days? Karen did an awesome job designing your t shirt. I didn't realize she is such the artist! That caricature looks spot on!
I wish you would have joined us too Robin, we had plenty! We usually do have beautiful blue skies here most of the year. Rain storms blow through quickly. We actually got a dusting of snow Monday night! Yes indeed, Karen has designed all of my logos. She’s quite an artist! Hope all is well on you end! God Bless!!!
This is far out! I subscribe to Rockin R for the love of real Mexican food. I are a Texacan born and bread from Houston to San Antone, Big D & down in the valley way. I was interested in the pot set up you used in this boil. You said it was 100 quarts. Who made it? was it Bayou Classic? Who? I've been in Memphis TN. for 30 years now and I sure get home sick watchin' these videos. After watching for a while I hit (K) when I saw it was an "Outdoor Gourmet' you were boiling in. Thanks, I got it!
This has been our new Christmas tradition for the past 2 years. I don’t put my shrimp in until I’ve turned the heat off and it’s sat there and soaked awhile. Then I let the shrimp soak. Good eaten!
Fine looking boil Troy! Ain't much I love better than doing these boils! Glad you got you a boil boss and paddle. Definitely the way to go! Cheers brother! 🍻
Same here Rus, I love a good seafood boil anytime of the year. And I really like the Boil Boss and Paddle. Cheers to ya brother! Have a great weekend!!!
Hey Ry, hope you're doing well my friend! Yeah, I'd rather over season the water and have less soak time. I appreciate you watching and am so happy to see that your channel is doing so well. Keep up the great videos!!
I inherited my grandfather’s shrimp boiling equipment when he passed 2 years ago, looks like I need to put it to use. Saving this video for the spring!
I'm glad that you can keep your grandfather's spirit alive and think about him when using his shrimp boil equipment. I appreciate you watching brother! Cheers!
My exact reaction to seeing the Boil Boss in action. "Oh wow, that's clever...aaaaand now I have to go to the bathroom." lol Great video, buddy. Reminds me of our boil earlier this year. Miss you.
TMI....LOL Yeah, I wish you were here to help me eat all this seafood. No worries, I'll have another one next Spring and you are invited! Miss you too Justin!
@@alaskaseadog4871,ok I don't understand your comment. Are you trying to be funny? I have great respect for both of these gentlemen and would really like meeting them both. Your comment seems disrespectful. Maybe I missed something. Have a great day anyway.
I moved from Maryland to Florida one year ago. I'm glad they sell Old Bay here now, a few years back we had to ship it to my aunt who lives here. When I was young, growing up in Baltimore, I lived very close to McCormick's spice company. The smells from that place were awesome! I've done low country boils quite a few times with just plenty of Old Bay, crabs, shrimp, potatoes, corn and sausage, Yummmm! Thanks for the video!
My 1st time cooking this and I needed it to be perfect for "Fathers day" and when my son returns home from the Navy this year! Looking forward to having a great day poolside with some tasty low country boil. Thanks for all the seasoning tips and ideas! Great Job! Oh, Love the shirt!!
Troy...I absolutely love all your videos. I've learned a lot of cooking, grilling, & boiling tricks from you...MY 14 YR OLD DAUGHTER LOVES IT WHEN I TELL HER I'M TRYING SOMETHING THAT I SAW YOU DO ON TH-cam...ESPECIALLY YOUR HAMBURGER STEAK & GRAVY YOU DID A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO!!! My wife & I do a lot of shrimp & crab boils when we take our camper down to Gulf Shores Alabama. I've had a lot of people at the camp grounds where we stay all the time, ask me where I learned a lot of the boiling ideas I use...I ALWAYS ASK...HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF T-ROY COOKS ON TH-cam...THAT'S WHERE I LEARNED IT... Then a lot of my friends at the camp grounds come back & say "Randy...I watched T-Roy & then I subscribed"!!! Much love from Mobile Alabama.
Sorry I am late seeing this Randy! Man, I truly appreciate you spreading the love of T-ROY Cooks!!! I wouldn't be where I'm at without you guys out there helping me out, so it is much appreciated. Wishing you and your family a Very Happy Thanksgiving and Christmas! Tell your daughter & wife I said Hi!!! Cheers!
Oh my goodness TRoy.. that was one amazing boil! Wow! Already had dinner here, but now I'm so hungry after watching this! Loving everything you put in there! Another great video my friend. Wishing you and yours a blessed day...
I've been wanting to do another boil also. It's always such good eating!!! I appreciate you watching and it's great to hear from you again! Thanks for the years of support!!!
That is a meal fit for a king. Man a good boil is a great thing, I'm with Rus on the mushrooms, but boy that crab, shrimp, corn, yeah I'm in. That paddle looks really cool. Simply awesome Troy!
T 👌👍being from far south Louisiana this is a regular thing I do. I couldn’t do better myself. Great job. Saw BoilBoss on Russ’s channel definitely need to look into adding to my arsenal Thanks for you!!!!
Old Bay brings back memories. Mom had to have old baby on all her seafood. Nice way to cool a boil down. Been awhile since I boiled shrimp. Didn't know how bad I missed it.
This looked delicious. No way my husband and I could eat that much..being seniors we don’t have the appetite we used to but our eyes are still bigger than our stomach. The other thing is neither one of us can handle spicy food…although we both love seafood…and I’m going to add the mushrooms, garlic and artichokes. Like you did. I grow my own artichokes. All the tips are much appreciated. Also; I also make my own cocktail sauce as it is quick and easy: I just whisk the ingredients in a small bowl: 2 T. Horseradish, 1 Tsp. Worcestershire, 1 C. Ketchup and the juice of 1 Lemon.
Man brother I haven’t done a country boil in a minute!!! Watching your video sure reminded me how good it is! That might be Christmas dinner this year!!!
We have what's referred to as a Low Country boil around here, but after watching yours and Rus's, ours is pretty pitiful. That was a table full of goodness. I hope you had some people standing behind the camera ready to help you with that. LOL Love that Boil Boss and Paddle Therm. I need to do this one for sure. Maybe come spring time now. Enjoyed Troy and thanks for the info and tips.
T-ROY..You put so many God things in your boil...In Cajun Country we also add eggs. I know you must have invited some quest. That is definitely a family get together meal. You have given me an idea for family arriving the week before THANKSGIVING. THANKS for the inspiration.👌👍🌶🥔😊🦐🦀
Yeah, they did hook me up with some fresh shrimp and crab straight from the Gulf of Mexico. I haven't had fresh crab in a very long time! YUM!!!! That's 2 requests now for the cocktail sauce. I'll see what I can do for ya on that. Thanks for watching!!! Cheers!!!
I love these videos already, was really surprised to see such regular uploads You really deserve all this praise, keep it up, your content is so pure and enjoyable to watch. Honestly I can’t wait to try and make somethin like this myself
This looks absolutely delicious, T-Roy! I'm from the North East and am very familiar with old bay. I can only imagine how mixing that with some Louisiana seasoning must be! You're leaving me hungry, as always lol
That looked delicious..😋!! For seasonings will use Juicy Crab Seasonings as they give me that extra kick..you should give it a try too..definitely worth it. Thanks for the video👍
Geeze, what a boil, this Yankee(Wisconsin) has never seen anything like this Texas Boil...wow...please invite me...will Cruze down from Flower Mound...WOW...Thx for sharing...
Wow what a great boil, IDK if it can still be called a low country boil, with All that seafood. LoL 😎. Those new Boil Boss products, are going to make a big difference in the world big party boils. Nicely Done. Thanks for sharing. 😎.
Ive always wanted to do a boil like that, Troy. None of my friends here like all that stuff. I think I need new friends! lol. Looked awesome brother! Hope you had help with that spread.
T-Roy you need a bigger dial like the one on your smoker, love your videos man I did a texas hot n fast brisket the other day with your method and it was delicious! Thank you!!
This looked totally awesome! You should consider hosting a Labor Day Extravaganza since Keith Bettag is retiring. I'd for sure fly to Austin, TX for this! 👍
And the finished boil looks amazing. Especially interested in the artichokes, That's so different and I bet amazing. We love them. How did they turn out in that beautiful boil?
I really enjoy your vids but I enjoy your boil vids the most. Never been to a boil but damm you make them look great. I'm going to have to do one this winter. And I keep learning new things with each vid. That cool down device looks really good. Here's a suggestion though. I live in Washington state and cook Dungeness a few times a year and I discovered the boil water dosen't get nasty if I kill and clean the crab before placing in the boiling water. Next time you do a boil I suggest that you do the same. It should improve the waters flavor and it seems to me that's what you're after. Keep up the great work. 🦀🦐👍🍻
SAL GROSSO! T-Roy you got my stomach growling once again! Got to get out there and make myself another boil.Thank you as always for providing us another video.
Hey T-Roy, if you wanted to use crayfish, would you add them at the same time as you added the shrimp? I would be interested in hearing about your cocktail sauce recipe. Also would be cool to see some homemade horseradish maybe with some oysters!

That's a really good point about the higher amount of seasoning reducing the soak time :)
Hey Ry, hope you're doing well my friend! Yeah, I'd rather over season the water and have less soak time. I appreciate you watching and am so happy to see that your channel is doing so well. Keep up the great videos!!

Hey, Troy. That's one impressive boil, buddy. What's your best tip for cooking good quality grilled shrimp?
Thanks much Byron. I like to brush some garlic butter on the shrimp and grill for just a few minutes turning once.
Garlic butter like T-Roy said is great 👍 try brushing them with the garlic butter and coat with fresh-grated Parmesan or Asiago cheese
This is so cool Troy, I always love watching these seafood boils being made.i hope that and the family are well.

What temp do you maintain
My 67 year old dads favorite hot sauce is crystal. Troy just gave you all the secret ingredient for basically everything.
Stainless steel or aluminum pot, or does it matter?
SAL GROSSO! T-Roy you got my stomach growling once again! Got to get out there and make myself another boil.Thank you as always for providing us another video.
Troy, that looks absolutely amazing! Dang, I’m starving! What size pot do you think I would need to serve about 10 people?
I'd go with a 120 quart pot so you'll have a little head room in the pot. Glad you enjoyed the video Don and I appreciate you watching!
Hey T-Roy, if you wanted to use crayfish, would you add them at the same time as you added the shrimp? I would be interested in hearing about your cocktail sauce recipe. Also would be cool to see some homemade horseradish maybe with some oysters!
