“New Zealand were not deserved winners”. All Blacks played all the rugby and scored more tries meanwhile England created nothing and the only try they scored was off an intercept. I can’t even imagine thinking that your team deserved to win when they only kicked penalties lmao
Penalties are a type of point in rugby. And they are bloody effective when a team is ill disciplined. ABs eye unconvincing and even though I'm relieved they won I think we were poor @@samoday2992
@samoday2992 NZ had more territory, more clean breaks, made more passes (twice the amount) more carries, beat more defenders, more offloads, won more rucks, won more turnovers, scored 3 tries to 1. They were very much playing all the rugby
@@Cpchurch87 the vast vast vast majority of the game was played in the midfield . You continuously committed foul play to upset the rhythm of Englands attack . You got away with murder and kicked the ball more than England . Those statistics are bs by the way and we both know that as England had 54% of the territory .
Interesting, no one mentioned is how NZ made errors which were penalised, letting England into the game one opportunistic intercept try. N Z scored tries
ABs were definitely better than us. Luckily they made so many mistakes it made things exciting, but we in no way deserved the win. We need to work on our attack (bring Lawrence and wabsoso in the game)
The game showed the fundamental difference in the NZ approach and that taken by England. NZ look to score tries as the principal way to win games. They will take points on offer but ball in hand catch and pass has always been the All Blacks DNA. England similar to SA in many ways look to put pressure on through set piece and defensive pressure . They score a lot of points through line out mauls and scrum penalties. Neither style is intrinsically better , in the end if the team wins the RWC by a single kick no one cares. NZ has been spoilt historical by having attacking players with the qualities of Lomu, Cullen, Nonu etc so there is expectation from AB fans to not only win but win with glorious length of the field passing movements. The great teams like the McCaw era obviously can play both styles according to what is required NZ let England into that game by gifting soft penalties to them. If they can sort out their discipline they will be hard to beat moving towards the next RWC. The challenge for England is to be able to create more try scoring opportunities against the NZs and the SAs rather than the second tier teams they usually romp over.
New Zealand looked far more threatening with the ball the only England try came off an intercept other than that I don't remember any other time where England were peppering New Zealands line
Englands record against the all blacks is appalling and so is their home record. Maybe if they kept their mouths shut leading up to the tests they would be in with a chance, and especially if they stop celebrating every turnover like they won the game its pathetic
Im English, the better team won . They new Zealand attack produced trys . England had no real attack. Steve borthwick needs to go . Ben Spencer box kicking is anti rugby.

bro...the abs threw an intercept try, had a try disallowed, a yellow card, were penalised 6 times more and missed none of their kicks but yet "they weren't the better team " ok
I'd like to think I'm slightly less biased than the average joe. England in this game did not have the same attacking structure that they've showcased in the past (notably against ireland and france) perhaps that's due to the team not being together for too long before the game, maybe it's because we were purposefully playing a different gameplan which used more kicking and territory management. The positives for england: they put New Zealand under huge amounts of pressure when they had the ball which led to us staying in the game through penalties. Our kicking game i'd say was a success, multiple times in that game we found ourselves gaining territory through it. Negatives: NZ managed to find some pretty big gaps in our defence that led to their tries. Our bench was just not up to scratch at all. When Baxter and Cole came on our scrum just melted. Dombrandt was pretty quiet I thought, only ben curry had a positive impact off the bench IMO. Randall and Ford had absolute nightmares this game, randall shat the bed trying to get the ball out the scrum and then had another poor pass to ford which made an already difficult DG nearly impossible. Ford put in a pretty weak tackle attempt on Telea which led to NZ going ahead with 5 mins to go, then missed a penalty and a DG to put us back ahead.
Penalty kick 3 points, try with conversation 7 points. The ABs held their line and score two tries in the first half. Easy peasy. Englands kicking strategy is killing their front pack. If they don’t find more ways to get the ball over the line then they will never be good enough to take on the best.
England should have been up by 15? England were lucky to be that close, we were the only team with actual attacking intent. England nearly won because of us not because of them.
@@samoday2992 "done absolutely nothing other than the three tries" is a hilarious shout. England wouldn't have scored three tries if the game went for another 80 minutes.

The All Blacks have a delightfully balanced squad, a competitive scrum, dynamic loose forwards, especially Satiti and Savea. The halves are a concern, but with Scott Robertson at the helm, look to see Roigard bring a new dimension to the All Blacks attack. For the first time in a long time, it’s the backline that is of the most concern, but it is a new era, with a coach looking to bring his own style of attack.
