One highlight at #GMF24 was the keynote speech by Germany's Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock, who addressed the political and societal responsibility of protecting freedom of the press and freedom of information, among other things.

In December 2021, Annalena Baerbock assumed office as Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs in Germany. She has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2013. Before her mandate in the Bundestag, Annalena Baerbock was Chairwoman of the Green Party of Brandenburg (2009-2013). Born in December 1980, south of Hanover, she now lives in Potsdam with her husband and their two daughters.
